I don't get this one. Celebrity Paradox is about how a fictional universe does not exist within itself. So of course (?) the image is of some kid looking for a Stallone film in a video store. Huh? Is the kid supposed to represent Stallone or something?

The image makes perfect sense if you have watched Last Action Hero. The kid is trapped inside a movie universe with a character played by Arnold Schwarzenegger. Since Schwarzenegger does not exist in this universe, Stallone played the role of the terminator.

Great example to make fun of the trope, less good image. Is there one where Arnie is actually in the image?

...so to understand the image you must have seen a 20-year-old movie, and be familiar enough with another 22-year old movie to recognize some guy with a shotgun as that movie's poster instead of a random guy with a shotgun. Yeah, that's not very good.

As much as I like this image, I do see your point. Can we keep this one until a better replacement is found?

I've never seen either movie, but I understood I was looking at the Terminator poster with Stallone instead. The caption helps. Perhaps the image would work if we combined it with the original poster?

One of the big problems is that you can't actually see the title of the movie on the stand, so you have to depend on your general knowledge of either The Last Action Hero or the Terminator poster to know what movie it is, which obviously negates the whole point of the image.

I think it would work if we can combine it with the original Terminator poster, as Helter suggested above. Otherwise, I would vote to pull the current.

Well, I just invested 22 minutes of my life in seeing that The Nostalgia Critic episode, so I now understand the context. I say Keep Until Better Image Suggested.

The problem is that the image doesn't establish that Arnold's character is in the move. I'll try getting a better shot.

Pardon, but that is not a good reason to vote Keep or Keep Until Better Image Suggested.

I am not at all clear what the image is about.

If you had so see anything to understand the picture then it's not a good page image. The only way it would work is with the original poster of Terminator 2.

Here. This image establishes that Arnold's character exists in the movie universe. I think it is safe to say that most people on TV Tropes know that Arnold is in Terminator.
[up] Mabey mixing that poster in would help, but I think it's good without it.

[up] Maybe most people know that Arnie is Termie, but that doesn't mean they will recognize a black poster of "some guy with a shotgun" as the original film poster for a film two decades old.

Then in that case, we could somehow throw the original poster in.

We don't have a lot of consensus, but since the clock's up and the suggested 2-paneler is an improvement on the current, I've swapped them out. I'm going to put the page on my to-do list to find a pic of the original T2 poster to link in the caption. Locking up.
