Conjurer really was just a late-game-catchup-skill-dumb+ the buffs that should've been part of the Summoner which they are in Second.
Conjurer with Summoner secondary is the most impractical but fun way to play. Invoke Susano'o and Deus Ex, then blast away with summons. Surge helps.
Heart of StoneBit of a thread bump but apparently Bravely Second is coming to the EU on February 26th.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.yusss
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.The last one came out three months earlier in the EU than the US. Hopefully that's not the same this time, but I have to wonder why that happened at all. It's not like they translated and dubbed it twice.
I need mah Bravely Second! Nooooooo!
@Tomahawk: Apparently all the attacks are named after missiles so naming the class also after one at least makes sense.
I just picked this up yesterday. Is there a point when the villains stop being one note Saturday morning cartoon villains playing the "My Aristocrats joke is better" game, because it's just just starting to get on my nerves.
Holy Grail, huh? Cool story, bro.Well that's nice to hear at least. There have only been two asterisks guys that haven't been completely insufferable, and I'm fairly sure one of them was completely optional so far.
Ringabel is annoying the living hell out of me too, but I'm hoping he'll stop trying and failing to sound like Balthier by the time he gets his memory back.
Holy Grail, huh? Cool story, bro.Ringabel gets significantly less Womanizer-y as the story progresses.
Which asterisks have you collected so far? Because after the knight there are only 4 mandatory asterisks.

It's not just the womanising, which did get old REALLY quickly, but the fact his voice seems permanently stuck in "pretentious dandy" mode, even in the serious scenes.
I just became a pirate, who is travelling all over the damn place so I can beat up the idol singer in Eisenberg. I've been trying to do all of the sub scenarios the moment they pop up, and the only one that really gave me trouble was the Red Mage.
Holy Grail, huh? Cool story, bro.Which language are you listening to him in? Can always switch to the other one.
Good ol' English. I don't really play video games in other languages unless its completely unavoidable. Might try it out in the future, but maybe on a new game plus or something.

Holy Grail, huh? Cool story, bro.Well then stop complaining about Ringabel! You made your bed now sleep in it! Deal with the terrible English voice actors, you non-weeb you!
If you're expecting a sophisticated story with well-written dialogue and complex characters, you aren't going to get one from BD.

Most of the fun comes from the gameplay.
I find it interesting how the bosses are bound to catch you unawares no matter whether it's optional or mandatory.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television. Also, get a Game-Breaker FAST, because the game will assume you do, and Compensate appropriately.
I liked the English VA cast.
That being said, the only character I found insufferable was Yulyana because ugggghhhhhh
Ugh is right.
Ugh and stop hiding critical information from us during safe-place conversations
I have a message from another time...I really didn't care about him either way.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.the voice-actors themselves are fine and have done better work elsewhere, but the voice direction, acting, and the script felt like they were deliberately trying to go for a Narm-filled old JRPG plot.
and yeah people can claim Narm Charm or whatever, but when you get exchanges like Tiz and the thief asterisk guy, my only reaction is to cringe and wish this was better written.

I found most of the voice acting relatively good.
The only character I found annoying was Airy, but then, the primary role she fills is one that rarely gets a lot of praise. For example, the quintessential example is Navi and we all know how people feel about her.

The bits of world building the game provides kept me entertained, at least. It's nice seeing an RPG actually describe local cuisine and such.
The writing itself isn't bad, but the plot and how the story unfolds is. Logic and reasonable communication have to be thrown out at all times to justify having 20+ bosses to fight rather than just the 10 or so that would make sense to.
"Less effective than Rage spam" describes literally everything else in the game, so that's not much of a downside.
The only reason I don't feel gross for using Rage spam is that the build I use requires the entire team to set it up. And because I beat the story before discovering it.
