Real appropriate Biebs. Real appropriate. I wonder if the genius knows who Anne Frank actually was.

I think he thinks Anne Frank is some kind of model or something.

Not a Jewish girl forced into hiding due to Nazis and dying due to typhus in the camps.

[up][up] Its when when the fame coaster is starting to go on the sharp drop down and the famee starts realizing how cool he is not. Since his fame level is diminishing, the famee will start doing random shit to keep the focus on himself or quietly disappear back into anonymity.

I still love seeing the comments on The Onion's You Tube videos from people who just don't get it.

It's not as fun to make fun of quite anymore ever since they changed the visuals and format and made the humor a bit sillier, though, as now their videos seem a bit more obvious that they're farces, which doesn't make it as funny to me or as easy to trick someone with.

[up] This is embarrassing, but the first time I saw an Onion video I thought it was real. It was the one about the Macbook Wheel, and I have a really low opinion on Macs. So yeah.

That one's a classic [lol]

It's alright. Their older videos are VERY easy to mistake for real if you can't pick up on the satire fast enough or if you have no idea who the Onion is.

Lol. There's always that one guy, isn't there? The one who says "This is obviously a publicity stunt and you are all suckers who are giving these people exactly what they want."

Even if it was a publicity stunt intended to generate controversy (I'm inclined to think it wasn't—it was an off-the-cuff sort of statement from a spoiled celebrity with an overinflated ego; not everything needs to be a conspiracy of advertisers and agents trying to make more money or sell more views), that doesn't mean it wasn't in very poor taste. It doesn't mean celebrities have free reign to do whatever they like, as long as they say it was "for publicity".

Maybe you don't think what Biebz wrote was that bad. OK. I think it was a shameless and unnecessary act of self-promotion which proves Bieber's infatuation with himself.

Also, about the "Rape happens for a reason": He was young and impressionable at the time, and probably only parroting what his older peers believed. When you're at that age, you tend to absorb the beliefs of adults and repeat them as your own. The music industry also seems to want to keep the "good little Christian boy" image for young musicians as long as possible (the kids like it, the moral guardians like it... Porsches for everyone!), so that may have also been a factor. His uncertain response to what is a difficult question even for an adult got taken way the fuck out of context. So I'll cut him some slack on that one.
