well...until the pilot either airs or leaks...
"You can reply to this Message!"So how 'bout them other Whedon shows?
All of time and space, anywhere and everywhere, any star that ever was. Where do you want to start? The only thing I have to say is: Baron Von Strucker is a must.
Played by Jon Voight.
Oh yeah.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Oh yeah how do you guys think HYDRA will show up? If they do I mean.
All of time and space, anywhere and everywhere, any star that ever was. Where do you want to start?Well, the MCU already has HYDRA, so they'll probably explain something like "HYDRA used to be a branch of the Nazi government, but after the fall of the reich it became a terrorist cell under the leadership of Baron Von Strucker, former Wehrmacht General."
Think ZFT from Fringe except more military.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."I wouldn't be shocked if there's not one Hydra so much as multiple Hydra's across time. Basically, different people at different points attempted to revive Hydra, or at least use some of its assets and "brand". One or more of those may exist in the present.
Home of CBR Rumbles-in-Exile: rumbles.fr.yuku.comWell, it does fit with its motto "Cut off one head, two more will take its place."
But still, Von Strucker is a classic [and if you read Secret Warriors, good] SHIELD arch-enemy, I figure he will either be completely absent for the sake of creating a new villain [or because Marvel wants to use him later on in a Captain America movie or some such], or will be the Big Bad.
I think he'd be a great villain.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Agreed. I think its most likely he will show up on the TV show; he was always more a Fury and SHIELD villain than a Cap villain.
Home of CBR Rumbles-in-Exile: rumbles.fr.yuku.comAIM will probably also show up. Simply because all the shiny toys the chitauri left...
I actually can see AIM as the bad guys for the first season and then the creeping realization that HYDRA is still out there.

"You can reply to this Message!"Maybe AIM will start off as the main villains, and Von Strucker will be a unnamed, shadowy figure advising them that would be revealed as being Von Strucker only in the season finale.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Aren't AIM confirmed for Iron Man 3? That doesn't prevent them from appearing in this, too, of course.
It would be pretty nifty if this series tied directly in to the films in an ongoing sense.
Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent.Hell Coulson might show up in Iron Man 3 as a twist with the SHIELD pilot starting right after he leaves the room.

Trump delenda estM.O.D.O.K. on a TV budget. Yeah, that's something I want to see. /sarcasm
The last hurrah? Nah, I'd do it again.Any news how Coulson survived for this?
You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction.Oh come on, when's the last time Whedon resurrected a character he killed?

Shut up!

Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the Great"MODOK on a TV budget," said the man who watches the new Doctor Who.
How likely is Baron Zemo or the Leader here?
Proud member of the IAA What's the point of being grown up if you can't act childish?Zemo I doubt it because they're probably holding him for the Cap movies [while Strucker is way more connected to SHIELD than he is to Cap], The Leader...Sure, Why Not?.
I wouldn't expect him to appear, but i can see him appearing as an arc-villain or minor villain.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."I'd actually like to see the Leader. The Incredible Hulk had a Sequel Hook with Sterns that never got followed up on, as there hasn't been a Hulk movie since and doesn't look to be one any time soon - they're talking about one, but it doesn't feature anywhere in Phase 2, and most information is speculative at best, so I would expect it to be released around the same time as the Venom, Deadpool, and Justice League films.
That leaves Sterns as a dangling plot thread that the S.H.I.E.L.D. series could follow up on.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.The problem with the Leader is he doesn't work if he doesn't, you know, lead. He needs minions, and his traditional ones are on the expensive looking side.
Am I a good man or a bad man? And? Marvel has zoggin' Disney behind it this time. CG monsters will be easy-peasy now.
Proud member of the IAA What's the point of being grown up if you can't act childish? Not on a realistic TV budget, even a big one.
Home of CBR Rumbles-in-Exile: rumbles.fr.yuku.comMarvel has already made just about $2.8 billion on their films so far. They can afford it.
We don't have a thread for it in the live action tv section yet and the show is coming. Let us discuss.
