[up][up][up][up]Ah. I didn't know how that worked, my apologies. Also: You're on the Design Council?! That's cool!

...What other names did you suggest besides Octavia? Or is that a trade secret?

Too easy.

[up] There isn't really a standardized way to choose names. For Nidus it was the same way, for frames before that it was a Design Council vote.

There were 15 pages worth of suggestions, so I won't go through it but there was stuff like Synthesia, Melody, Sonata, Bard, etc.

[up][up][up] If they'll ever release the OST I'd throw money at the screen faster than you can say Jack Robinson. A vinyl's a bit useless for me, though.

The vinyl comes with a digital copy according to DE Taylor.

I've no notion if the OST is available on its own tho.

I'm back and let me tell you - life in outside world is overrated. There's only flu, mud and threat of nuclear holocaust to be found. I missed my laptop so much, I almost enjoy even derelict runs.

Almost... derelict still blows.

Aaaaaaaaaaaanyhow, what did I miss?

We finally finished Hema. Missed some event weapon bp drops, an event maybe?....

Think that's about it.

[up][up] You missed Ignis Wraith and our main clan very nearly getting a permanent access to the weapon, but you can trade for it.

Otherwise, the latest event (which was actually fun?!) that gave said Ignis Wraith.

Not much else I think. In our yard, I elected to downsize the main clan too, the latest requirement are just way too high for me and C to carry the clan all the time. I was actually waiting on a sign of life on your part before starting the kickening.

So uh, welcome back!

I hope Ignis W comes to invasion reward pool soon. I'm too broke for any trade for now. Talking about broke, I hoped to get 75% discount after somewhat long hiatus as they then to pop un in these instances, but it only gave me 50%. Well... fuck; if you really don't want my money, I can't force you.

And what's up with map markers showing up on screen? Do we really need to put every single life support in field of view at all times? Combat readability is pretty bad as is. I don't need some useless icon blocking doorway when an ancient stands in there and swings to hook me.

Oh man, it's so good to get back to complaining. I should keep some salt for nullifier nerf tho.

I'm the hero that we need, but nobody wants. But seriously, it would be nice to have an option to disable new markers.

#13038: Mar 20th 2017 at 7:49:22 AM

Uh, I thought there actually was an option for that.

Sometimes you just have the most rotten luck ever. I did 4 Kuva Flood yesterday, and four times on four there was an invasion.

Only one mission was a failure because of that, but it was still a pain. And the mission was a failure because the Kuva cloud bugged out somewhere random on the map out of sight and New Loka invaded.

Well, technically two mission was a failure for my brother. Zanuka decided to come in at the literal worst time to kidnap him so he didn't get the Kuva I got. What is the literal worst time you might be wondering? Well, I was stuck in the revive animation and the both of us were swamped in Kuva Grineer. Remove any of these two issues and Zanuka's victory is a lot less likely all of a sudden.

So really not a lucky streak all around.

It is with a somewhat heavy heart that I announce the downsize of the Lampshade Space Ninjas. The downsize in and of itself is not much of an event, but I had to kick about 10 people. The participation was not high enough in the last few months to justify staying a Shadow clan.

I gifted whoever had less than one month of inactivity with a forma bundle with a message explaining the situation and offering an invitation to join the overflow clan if they wish to.

On the bright side, this will reduce our resource burden a fair bit.

Wait, wait, wait, C got abducted by Zanuka. But that thing is miserable as... like... fuck, I don't have words to describe it. Losing to that thing, no matter what conditions, is complete and total disgrace. There is no way I can express just how I feel about this, but I must try: DO YOU HEAR ME, C, YOU SUCK!

As for clan talk, you think DE's trying to consolidate clans what with Hema costs and latest event?

QuestionMarc Since: Oct, 2011 Relationship Status: Having tea with Cthulhu
#13041: Mar 21st 2017 at 10:26:29 AM

[up] While I have lost a tremendous amount of respect for my brother, even after his sepuku over the matter, I must concede that the Zanuka was level 89 in a clusterfuck rich with Grineer Scorches, Kuva hyeka masters, Kuva Guardian, Nullifiers and a Bursa somewhere in there.

We are also both increasingly reckless in our choice of weapons - I hardly ever use an actual weapon since I'm forma'ing Prisma Tetra in anticipation of someday getting a god roll.

As for the clans, I think DE is awkwardly trying to turn them into a group project again and enforce it with grind. I say awkwardly because they are doing it with all the grace of a drunken amputee.

The intent is laudable, it's fine to want clans to be a team project, but Hema was a stroke of lunacy. There's really nothing reasonable about an increase in material cost of several thousand percents of the previous total requirement. The event was fine as far as I'm concerned. The corrected milestones were achievable just fine with proper teamwork. It did require a couple of hours over all, but anyone holding that against DE is pretty shortsighted: their entire business model revolves around player retention, especially during events like that.

Ah, if C was killed by high level flamethrowers, Zanuka may have snatched him before spontaneously combusting as it usually does after spawning.

Also, seppuku may be noble intention, but intestines are bitch to clean up. Remember to kick C for that while disposing of his body.

[up][up] Uh, I never really thought about using fire resistance, and I'm usually the one insisting everyone brings anti-toxin in the Orokin Derelict.

Maybe I should just bite the bullet with how fucking broken the Grineer's fire damage is.

[up][up]Sweet, now to just get to internet that lets me interect with other people.

[up]But poison clouds are much easier to dodge than flames. And flames deal so much damage. Scorch shooting at single member can wipe whole team and the objective.

Seriously, aren't Oberon, Saryn and Chroma your prefered frames. Oberon can heal and protect against procs, Saryn can heal with an augment and Chroma has so much armor, he should laugh at poison... and can heal in fire mode.

it was for the operation, where you'd typically have (at most) two members of a cell together at a time. it made sense.

[up][up] I don't use it on Chroma, I used it on Hydroid when farming the Derelict tho. Also, Saryn and Oberon have fallen off my grace, more or less. What I want the most from a frame is to not die and support my damage output, so Chroma is perfect even though he's a buff bot. Specifically because he is a buff bot.

I'm legitimately shocked by the news, I had no idea Update 20 was ANYWHERE close to release.

But forget about that and check aout this! Mostly buffs, but let's be real - forums will get flooded with salt. Oh, I can already taste the salt. I'm extremely happy.
