[up] Oh, it happened to me too. But the damage was so low that I took it as intended. Not that it explains how the hell it teleported from the asteroid fortress to the ship... I wonder what would happen if someone had a kubrow instead of a sentinel. [lol]

And, eh, yeeeeaaaaah no, she gives me the creepy doll vibe.

Man, DE knows how to make good quests. Really enjoyed TWW.

It was good, but did they just change the damage tables?

Not sure. Given the end of the quest, any unique ability you had from the focus school is now pointless.

You mean the main focus skills used with 5? I'd thought you'd be able to use them in some other way.

So, my Riven mod turns out to be a great one... for Soma. Which is not only a weapon I dislike, but I even sold mine not long after I max ranked it. I'm still unsure of what to think about it.

Keep it for Soma Prime.

Anyway I got that weird blueprint after finishing TWW but I can't find it on the foundry or what to do with it?

Finished the War Within.

Overall not very woo'ed over by the new lore and systems. They aren't bad or anything, but it doesn't get my

Brother and I both got laughably awful Riven mods so all is not bad. Well, to be accurate, brother got a laughably good Riven mod for a sentinel weapon. Yeesh.

considering how that mod is really random and requires 3 rare medallions...

I'm not doing anything with it anytime soon, especially since the harvesters show up at higher levels to extract kuva and I have no idea as to how to destroy them...

Just finished War Within with my cousin. Of course, 90% of it was single player only, so trying to play together was a little silly, but still. It was fun. Finally got to see the damn Queens and got more info on the Orokin. Hope we get upgrades to the new operator abilities. Is that what riven mods do? We haven't unlocked ours yet.

Not sure. Given the end of the quest, any unique ability you had from the focus school is now pointless.

We thought that too, but you can still activate your Focus ability by holding 5.

[up][up] Riven mods are randomized stats mods.

After completing the conditions (with the mod equipped on a corresponding weapon) the game will roll a specific weapon and randomized stats for it.

I'm not actually sure it's worth spoilering but for the next few day I'll rather spoiler too much than too little.

I think Q&A over game mechanics don't need the spoiler tag.

And, I'm done. I'll be honest, I don't feel very hot about this update. It's not the worst and certainly not as bad as fallout of U14, but then again it's like saying that loosing your legs is not as bad as holocaust.

First mission was great. There is something beautiful in telling Teshin off... as Atlas... in girls voice. This is what came to my mind immediately.

Second mission was filler, but allright - at least it wasn't heeping of shit. Archwing was by far the best part of the quest (aside from the part in the middle when ship could fly away making mission unwinnable, but making no indication that it's the case). Infiltration in the base was also very cool - so many thing to scan ([tup]) that Helios ran out of scanner charges ([tdown]).

And here comes the diarrhea: escape from ship was inexcusably buggy and poorly designed. Doors refused to open and Helios did waaaaaaaaay too much damage. I mean, if you make decision to let sentinels do damage, it's kind of expected you will make sure this damage is survivable. But noooooo, we got sentinel who can fill small spaces with three ricocheting projectiles dealing around 40 damage each. There also didn't seem to be any pattern in gusts. And when next day brought hotfix and I was ready to tackle this chalange in its more reasonable form, I got booted right next mission. WHEN I FINALLY WANTED TO DO IT, I WAS DENIED. Fuck you DE!

Mountain and cave was okay. Always thought default suit is ugly and I was too stingy to buy something else so my operator was knee deep in snow while wearing what is essentially pajamas. Void powers with environment designed to showcase them were cool at first (gave that adventure game feel that I like), but I feel like DE's running out of buttons. My condolescence to controller users. Also dangerous ground and safe spots were all textured in the same colour. Really sloppy.

And the big fight. It was shit. I like games that throw new challenges at me that can be overcome with given tools. This "boss" battle threw at me very basic and much criticized challenge of invincible mob untill X is done and gave tons of new tools to do the X. So it's more buttons to press in order to accomplish something without much substance to it.

Post battle part... awww what I'm kidding! I don't give a fuck anymore.

In other news: stealth took a massive nosedive again. I wouldn't mind mobs being smarter and stealth more thoughtful than "take Loki and hurr durr", but we're not given anything in return. Mobs still bunch up sometimes dozens in a single room, there are no patroll paths to speak off, too many places with no cover and no chance to advance without being spotted, enemy sight range is extremaly unrealible. Sooooo, long live the [insert current top lootcave here].

New mods are going to be massive pain. They remind me of loot systems from games like Diablo and Path of Exile. But in games of that type you would get new piece of loot from every second or third mob. Who cares if 99% of all the drops are garbage when you'll get showered in more drops just one screen away. While it may not be easy to get the best gear imaginable ( in fact it makes void farm in Warframe look like charity) it is easy to farm. This is key: farming in Diablo and it's many lookalikes is not hard, it is not work. Riven mods are as they require hardest missions in the game to attain, insane challenges to enable and farming to reroll if not desirable. When RNG will inevetably fuck you over it will hurt.

There's something that bothers me with this quest update but I can't put words on it...

It feels as tho we're having another beginning. The Leukemia mod they added is very weak, hardly any use for the stage that even the median player is in. DE had their moment of glory with the release, and I think it's time to stop regarding The War Within as a great achievement when it's just another beginning. More new system, more BASIC information, but almost no follow up on what we had before.

Natah and Second Dream worked to progress Lotus, and Teshin is only getting started in War Within - prior to that quest I actively did not care about him. Today I don't think I care all this much, but at least Teshin was mentioned as anything more than white noise on the relay.

So it is a beginning with Teshin, a beginning with advanced leukemia walkers, a beginning with Riven mods. It shouldn't be treated as much more than that, I think.

Try that challenge with Amprex or Atomos. If you hit a head, beam will headshot all other targets it jumps to. Also take note that grineer hitboxes for their heads are little wonky. Crewmen however work wonderfully.

Well, not exactly the proper place for this i think, but I'll trade the Soma Riven mod, hopefully for a Braton one (or sell it if I don't find anything interesting). Anyone interested before I hit the trade channel/forum?

(Edit: Forgot the details: Soma Feva-Vexiata, MR 8, 10 Madurai polarity, +7.4% electricity, +12.4% damage, +4.3% reload time. Haven't upgraded or rerolled it yet.)

[up][up] I guess, based on the 5 second video I watched of her.

We didn't see Worm THAT much.

[up] Alas I do not have a Braton mod.

You can probably get load of plat tho.

I also didn't notice her voice that much during quest. It was during kurwa farming when she was ordering her soldiers around when I noticed similaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah... grineer are candy people. It makes so much sense. Like all of it.

Also wanna know about my riven mod? It had zoom, multishot and reduced status chance. For Deth machine gun. I don't have Deth machine gun. And for a good reason - Deth machine gun is garbage.

[up] I disagree, Grineer are obviously insect people. They have a hard outer shell, specialized individuals, and queens. Based on this alone, I assume that the Queens spend the entirety of their off-screen time getting railed and birthing countless Grineer. What's more, with one queen down, Worm must be working overtime to compensate our onslaught on their Grineer hatch-lings.

It seems obvious to me that Tyl placed his laboratory under water to get in on the action, where he developed great Grineer men. He firmly believes his sea men will improve the strength of the empire.

About the Riven mod... On the bright side it's... uh... Well, on the bright side... I don't know.

Curse this update. The new system motivates me to update my Focus concept... again... This art is a compulsion.
