Indeed. I know the devs talk to the community a lot, and that kind of communication is fairly rare, but sometimes I get the impression that they take away all the wrong things from that interaction. That, or they just really get bullheaded about certain ideas even when a significant portion of the playerbase is begging them not to.
It's really, really frustrating.
To be fair, design by committee is a pretty bad way to do things. Just because the players want something doesn't mean it would be good for the game. However, they're a lot more of them than there are of you, so they can easily discover or realize things that you missed.
That's true. I'm more specifically referring to several situations now where the playerbase accurately predicted problems with a new feature weeks — or in some cases longer — before it was released. It's starting to seem like a cycle.
They need to redo the end game rails.
Instead of the clumsy rail system what they could have done is just use a general score system. Alliances compete for a high score for mission successes. Whoever gets the high score gets profits from the site for a day or so. After that it is up for grabs again. They could make sure one alliance is not always dominating any one mission by having 24 hour period after your control timer runs out before you can compete for the prize again.
High performing alliances will consistently get the benefit of the profits and the cool down allows others a shot at benefits.
Even better would be an arrangement of tiers of alliance like we have with clans and each level competes for the resources at their level.
Who watches the watchmen? To be fair, they also reduced the amount of combat required for a node, so this fix doesn't have just negatives.
Although the exp nerf annoys me somewhat. It means I probably won't go there unless the exp is still significant. Infested really doesn't give a lot of exp on average to begin with, so that nerf is pretty questionable.
I haven't compared the credits prize, but is it in the same ball park as the Infestation outbreaks? If it's above, well, outbreaks just got even less tempting, unless it's a mutagen mass or another research material (which are worth something like 30K credits a piece, IIRC).
I'm hoping that by next week's wednesday DE gets their shit back together.
EDIT: Also, freaking DDOS. - shakes fist -

We will see how it plays. I recall the cred for UR being 8k for a standard mission not counting in mission or sale of other goods earnings.
Who watches the watchmen?Update: Nyx is kinda cool, although her second ability currently seems a bit lacking. Probably needs Intensify or something. Also, got my Tigris to level 11, but I honestly can't say it's made a good impression on me so far. The weird way it fires is kinda annoying for me, and it doesn't do nearly enough damage to make up for its reload time. Maybe now that I can fit Blaze on it, it'll perform better? I dunno.
but HOW?Most Nyx users basically learn to either ignore that power entirely, or even forma the slot into something more useful and get rid of the power. Nyx is at her best using chaos and mind control, with Absorb as backup.
I've been getting 20k credits on some of the higher Dark Sector missions. The advertised amount is around 10k, but you apparently gain more.
As mortuana says ALL THREE OF Nyx's powers are great. She is CC top tier without being glaringly overpowered. Having pure damage power that is glaringly underpowered is... glaring to say the least. Yeah, just ignore it! Ignore it and Nyx becomes one of the most (if not the most) balanced frames in the game.
As for Tigris, it's a Love It or Hate It gun. I started loving it when even high level greneer begun dying in one burst and then in one shot forcing me to hold back and make my shots count. (I of course kept gibbing enemies waaay more than needed.) Tigris is pure skill weapon and it feels revarding to master it.

I'm pretty glad I've kept my Kittag: Crushing Ruin still has a spin to win move with lots of sparkles, and now, the jump attack sends people flying in the air for like 15 or 50 meters, depending on impact.
Jat Kittag es best Kittag.
EDIT: Also, there's an easter color pack for 1 credits on the market, with the other color pack. It's not advertised, but don't forget to grab it!

I have so many bloody tower I and II keys it is annoying.
I need to grind out some more of those beacons though so I can get some argon.
Marc: Thanks for the heads up. The valentine pack gave us some good colours. Enough so I changed my Rhinos' colour scheme.

AJ here :DSorry meant 8pm if you are on. It depends on how quickly my ride shows up and if we make any stops on the way back.
Who watches the watchmen?Alright, if anything I'll send you an invite while I'm farming if youre on around then or later EDIT: Grammar. I suck at et. Also, I feel like making a troper page for myself, but I wouldnt know what to put XD

AJ here :DCool sounds like a plan.
Who watches the watchmen? The results are in: Tigris is not the weapon for me. Sold it to make room for my shiny new Sicarus Prime.
Also, got jumped by the Stooges and the Stalker while doing solo missions. Man, I must be a hatred magnet or something now. Least I got Barrel Diffusion for my troubles.
Incidentally, I've been accumulating a surprising amount of T3 keys by spamming Cambria survivals to get another Tranquil Cleave or two. If anyone else needs some to get stuff like Rhino Prime blueprints or Ankyros Prime blades, might want to check it out and see if you get lucky.
but HOW?Hey that sounds like a good idea.
Who watches the watchmen? So, anyone know if anyone's done any math on whether Dark Sectors or ODD is better for xp, because my Hydroid's fully cooked and I am not looking forward to doing many Kappa's.
Also have these stance mods Iron Phoenix
Fracturing Wind
Pointed Wind
Coiling Viper
Clashing Forest
Reaping Spiral
So if anyone wants to trade their extra stances just let me know.

A love that crushes like a mace. What were Pointed Wind and Coiling Viper, again?
but HOW?I keep getting Reaping Spiral lol.
Who watches the watchmen?Wind is rare dagger stance and viper is rare whip stance.
A love that crushes like a mace.
And the spiral of poorly thought out end game mechanic continues.
