The Prince of Foolish Relevations
#101: Mar 29th 2013 at 10:03:54 PM

  • Name: Leduc
  • Age: 15 or 16, apparently Peacock's thirteen
  • Gender: Male
  • Appearance: "Lab 0 wouldn't do anything wrong, that game's lying..."
  • Kind: Canon... Kind of
  • Powers: Refer to where you find his segment, seems mainly to be Electrical Generation and Manipulation.
  • Side: Cosmos
  • World of Origin: Skullgirls, one of many timeline branches.
  • Personality: He's an idealist, and a young hero type with a good heart. He believes in inherent goodness though if he feels justified won't hold back with his powers. He tries to emulate others he respects to varying degrees of success.
  • Bio: His parents died during the Grand War, and with nothing left he was brought in by Ileum before joining Anti-Skullgirl Lab 8. There he was raised with other potential Anti-Skullgirl weapons, and was bonded with the Synthetic Parasite Taranis Generator. Having looked up to Dr. Avian he wanted to be of better service, and tried (note, tried) understand the same things Dr. Avian does. When he and Hive were introduced to Peacock, he wondered if he would be able to defeat a Skullgirl as well. Thus before going to sleep that night he encountered Cosmos, who offered to take him to another world to test his skills. Briefly thinking about it he accepted, believing he'll be able to return later.

  • Name: Kurt Warren
  • Age: Seventeen
  • Gender: Male
  • Appearance: "Reality? I could never do this in reality!" His eyes are more of a dark-brown, but that's pretty good.
  • Kind: OC
  • Powers: All his abilities are derived from a mix-n-match Power Key.
    • Adaptive Offense: The first power granted by his power key, it is derived from SCP-682's ability to adapt to harm and then weaponize it. Though Kurt's version is vastly weaker due to the mix-n-match nature of the Power Key, and thus is only immune to non-lethal non-crippling damage. So while he could be roasted in flames they can't be flames able to burn living things in mere seconds, and has no immunity to things impossible for a normal human to resist.
    • Bioelectrical Streams: The second power granted by his power key, it is derived from Cole Mc Grath's basic attack though its power, distance and spammability is dependent on how much bioelectricity Kurt has. Each shot drains bioelectricity from his body, and it slowly regenerates making this unwise to repeatedly use.
    • Fear-Based Super Strength: His third power granted by the power key, it is derived from Knox's ability to absorb fear to ampifiy his physical strength. Only Kurt's physical strength is increased, and the fear has to be caused by him. The boost is also dependent on how much he's feared, and the greatest his physical output could become is three hundred percent normal. Once he reaches his limit any additional fear would only maintain his strength longer.
    • Bloodbending: Derived from the Bloodbender Noatok this ability is entirely self-focused, and thus allows Kurt to manipulate his own blood.
    • Dark Volley: His final ability derived from the Power Key, it is taken from Terra and requires an object to channel it through such as a stick or a sword. Unlike the proper version Kurt lacks auto-aimming and has to expend all eighteen shots before the ability can recharge.
  • Side: Chaos
  • World of Origin: Here
  • Personality: Normally kind and friendly, he has a rather bizarre concept of reality. He's more willing to act out his impulses when he believes there are no repercussions, and finds his normal life vastly boring. (The rest will be made up as I go)
  • Bio: Born and raised in this city since birth the vast media had always interested him. Going through problematic situations such as his parents' divorce at four, not understanding why he was sent to foster care and said foster family trying to turn him against his own father he has become socially stunted partially by choice. Relishing in the adventures of others and his freedom online his morality can be summed up as "Ooh, that looks fun. Why shouldn't I do that?" Currently he has no idea what to do with his life, and is under the impression its impossible he'll ever get powers. Thus when he obtains his Power Key he will be under the impression he is dreaming.

Will finish Kurt later, is Leduc fine?

Black Knight, coming through!

Name: Lancelot du Lac, Knight of the Lake, Servant Berserker

Age: I'm not that good at guessing people's age ^^;. 30-ish appearance wise, maybe? Otherwise, chronologically longer than that.

Gender: Male

Appearance: "My king...." *insert random roaring here*

Kind: Canon

Powers: As a Servant, Lancelot possess physical capabilities way, way beyond that of a common man. This proves even more so after he was enhanced through Mad Enhancement, raising his stats further and effectively making him one of the biggest powerhouses during the Fourth Holy Grail War. In addition to having extremely high strength, endurance and speed even for a Servant, he also possesses some notable skills:

  • For Someone's Glory, Not for One's own Glory: This Noble Phantasm gives Lancelot the ability to conceal his 'identity', so to speak. While it certainly does not hide his presence such as Presence Concealment, the black miasma covered around his body have a special property to mask 'himself'. Any attempts to gauge his capabilities, status and/or identity will be met with an automatic failure. Lancelot could also technically impersonate himself as another Heroic Spirits associated with military might but because of his Mad Enhancement, it would require an order from a Command Seal for him to consider doing that.

  • Eternal Arms Mastership: The ability to wield any and ALL weapons as though he has trained with it throughout all his life. This ranges from but not limited to: sticks, telephone poles, swords, spears, sub-machine guns and F15 fighter jet planes. As long as it can be considered a "weapon", Lancelot will gain instant mastery over it. This combines exceptionally well with...

  • Knight of Honour, A Knight Does not Die with Empty Hands: Lancelot's second Noble Phantasm. This allows Berserker to upgrade anything he gets his hands on into a C-rank Noble Phantasm, turning even mundane objects such as a broken pole into a deadly weapon equivalent to that of a demonic spear. It can also further increases a weapon's efficiency, as shown when Berserker performs impossible flight maneuvers with an F15 fighter jet and reduces an entire truck into an unrecognizable pile of scrap in a matter of moments with a few rounds from a sub-machine gun.

  • Aroundight, The Unbreakable Light of the Lake: Lancelot's final and ultimate Noble Phantasm. While this Noble Phantasm is in effect, his two others are sealed. In exchange, Aroundight increases his already formidable stats to incredible heights, turning him into a much more powerful monster than he normally is. However it requires a ridiculous amount of prana just to maintain it alone, so Lancelot can only utilizes this momentarily before he runs out of energy.

Side: Chaos

World of Origin: The Nasuverse.

Personality: What was once an ideal and perfect knight who'd inspired all, he had now reduced himself to nothing more than a mindless beast, seeking destruction and carnage in his path. Due to his Mad Enhancement, he is almost incapable of speech and interacting with others(not that he would anyway even if he can with the exception of a few rare cases) making him not a reliable ally. He also fully resents a certain King of Knights because of his past. As such, should he ever notices her presence, he would cease any immediate actions when possible and will instead be entirely focused to annihilate the main cause of his despair.

Bio: A loyal knight who solely devoted his entire life to the once and future king. That is, until a series of events happened that had resulted in Lancelot having to fall from grace. Plucked by Chaos from the Throne of Heroes as Servant Berserker, the now maddened warrior had entered the fray once more, this time... to unleash hell upon the world.

Soo, is there anything wrong with my application? If so, then don't hesitate to tell me!

Hopefully this character is acceptable, please tell me if there is anything that is to be changed

  • Name: Rubick, the Grand Magus
  • Age: Late 20 - Mid 30s
  • Gender: Male
  • Appearance: "No sorcery lies beyond my grasp."
  • Kind: Canon
  • Powers: As one of the heroes summoned to defend the radiant, Rubick is physically beyond those of any mundane human. Apart from his physical capabilities, Rubick is one of only twelve magus, and possesses one of the most cunning minds that have ever existed, capable of analyzing and stealing anything that can be considered a spell or an active skill, and utilize them masterfully, making him one of the most dangerous foes in the defence of the ancients.
    • Telekinesis: Even the Grandest Magus may use his powers for enjoyment. One of Rubick's favorite abilities, He utilizes his expansive mind to lift a person into the air, before hurling them back into the ground. The victim lands on the ground with such force that it usually disorients anyone nearby and destroys anything nearby.
    • Fade Bolt: Rubick's favorite spell for dispatching would-be assassins, The Grand magus simply conjures a stream of power pure arcane energy that refracts on each victim before bouncing to the next victim. As the stream of energy bounces, the damage that would be inflicted on the flesh would be reduced with each bounce. In addition to causing physical harm, each bounce saps a person's physical strength away, making them less effective in battle.
    • Null Field: Not every magus can be a Grand Magus. Rubick's mastery over the arcane arts allows even his mere presence to confer a weak magical disruption field around his allies, rendering hostile magical spells to cause less of an effect when affecting his allies. If needed, he can briefly consolidate these stray disruption fields to protect a single being from any magical harm.
    • Spell Steal: Rubick's trademark ability, He is capable of rapidly analyzing, and stealing an ability, spell or even a physical skill from a being, replicate them with ease, and utilize it as his very own.If a feat requires an reagent or an item, the staff is capable of being a substitution for the, even guns. The only restrictions to his ability are:
      • he is only able to steal spells that are done actively and consciously, like a long ranged snipe, or a magical spell.
      • He can only steal a feat last used by an individual.
      • He is only capable of memorizing a single ability, spell or physical skill at any time, and must replace it if he was to steal another one.
  • Side: Chaos
  • World of Origin: Dota, Dota 2
  • Personality: Rubick is Gallant, Confident, Polite, Agreeable and above all, extremely curious. His scholastic mind drives him to seek out anything that he does not understand, or he had never seen before, and experience it fully.
  • Bio:A renowned duelist and scholar of the grander world of sorcery, it had never occurred to Rubick that he might perhaps be Magus material until he was in the midst of his seventh assassination attempt. As he casually tossed the twelfth of a string of would-be killers from a high balcony, it dawned on him how utterly unimaginative the attempts on his life had become. Where once the interruption of a fingersnap or firehand might have put a cheerful spring in his step, it had all become so very predictable. He craved greater competition. Therefore, donning his combat mask, he did what any wizard seeking to ascend the ranks would do: he announced his intention to kill a Magus.Rubick quickly discovered that to threaten one Magus is to threaten them all, and they fell upon him in force. Each antagonist's spell was an unstoppable torrent of energy, and every attack a calculated killing blow. But very soon something occurred that Rubick's foes found unexpected: their arts appeared to turn against them. Inside the magic maelstrom, Rubick chuckled, subtly reading and replicating the powers of one in order to cast it against another, sowing chaos among those who had allied against him. Accusations of betrayal began to fly, and soon the sorcerers turned one upon another without suspecting who was behind their undoing. When the battle finally drew to a close, all were singed and frozen, soaked and cut and pierced. More than one lay dead by an ally’s craft. Rubick stood apart, sore but delighted in the week’s festivities. None had the strength to argue when he presented his petition of assumption to the Hidden Council, and the Insubstantial Eleven agreed as one to grant him the title of Grand Magus. As he was battling for the radiant, he was contacted with a most intresting request. To fight again, but this time on the side of evil. Rubick quickly accepted, after all, there was a first time for everything.

Alright, judgement time.

  • Leduc: Hm... I guess he's accepted.
  • Lancelot: On one hand, you're considering signing up with another character instead and that Lancy's pretty strong. On the other hand, Saber's accepted into the game and so accepting her former friend might make things interesting... Though you might wanna talk with Anno about this, since she's playing Saber. Plus, well, Badass. I'll wait to see what you say on the matter of signing up.
  • Rubick: Hm... He sounds interesting, but I'm not exactly sure with his powers, especially the Null Field and Fade Bolt. Telekinesis just brings back bad memories. I'd probably say nerf them, but it's up to you to decide.

Um...

Lancelot's presence has a lot of effect on Saber, um, and it leads to her being in a state I'd rather not play her in.

Also, um, Vita is the result of Cosmos approaching the TSAB/the TSAB approaching Cosmos, then selecting her as the agent they'd send for the job. Probably somewhat to Vita's dismay, as she's far from Hayate, but it also means beating things up.

[up][up]Yeah. That. I didn't mention it mainly because compared to the other three powers, Power Copying is the least problematic to me... Though I've been told the ramifications of Power Copying...

[up] Hm... Yeah. So from what I see (I'm trying to think of how this would happen, so you may correct me on this for some stuff) The TSAB detect some dark energy heading to a Earth (they handle multiversal stuff, right?), then see some light energy over it before, ask it wtf is going on, Cosmos then informs them on the situation and asks them to send out their person, and they do (probably through stick drawing tongue) and she joins Cosmos that way. At least that's how I possibly see this happening...

I should probably point out that in the actual game, Rubick can only steal spells for about three minutes or so before they disappear and he needs to re-steal them, so there's that.

Well, the TSAB would less detect things from other universes and more detect the repercussions that are being sent through reality. Since Cosmos is going around recruiting, they probably got wind of her and contacted her.

  • Name: "Caster", real name: Tamamo-no-mae.
  • Age: Unknown. Appears adult, existed long ago, and is currently a Heroic Spirit.
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: Normal caster and official baddy-slaying costume, I guess.
  • Kind: Canon
  • Powers: As a servant, Caster is naturally more powerful than any human. However, since she's a Caster class, her strength is nowhere near close to, say, Saber's, but her Magic ability is extremely high. In summary, she has powerful magic abilities, but can't hold her own in a physical fight, take a hit, and has MP problems.
Additionally, while not technically her own power, Caster can be ordered by her Master to perform a 'miracle' by expending a 'Command Seal', up to three times. Depending on the order, impossible tasks can be fulfilled easily (such as covering a distance of 500 kilometres in a single second). However, orders such as 'win this battle' may not work, if there's simply too large a difference in ability.
Finally, there is Caster's Noble Phantasm, The Eightfold Blessing of Amaterasu. When activated, this gives Caster a limited time in which she can cast spells with no drain to her mana reserves. However, this can only be used sparingly, as maintaining the NP instead drains her master.
  • Side: Cosmos *World of Origin: Nasuverse
  • Personality: A somewhat silly and goofy girl who occasionally makes strange remarks as if she were part of a video game or something, but is also capable of taking the situation seriously. She maintains that the most important thing in the world is love, of which she has plenty to give to her master.
  • Bio: Summoned by Cosmos to fight for her. As long as Cosmos has Command Seals, she can't disobey direct orders, not that she'd want to anyway. And if Cosmos where to die, she would disappear. She also doesn't divulge her real identity or recklessly reveal her NP, in order to better disguise her capabilities.

Heyo! I've been lurking because I can't decide if I want to play as Axe or Dragon Knight, but seeing another Dota 2 hero here, I thought in the meantime I should mention that in the game, Rubick can only steal spells/techniques/feats/etc used by the person, and isn't capable of stealing item abilities. So if an EXCALIBLAST![lol] is defined as something that only Excalibur does, rather than something Saber can do with any sword, he can't copy that power. So it's not quite the steal-and-spam thing you might be hesitant to accept.

If a feat requires an reagent or an item, the staff is capable of being a substitution for the, even guns.
I think this is what made Psyga pretty hesitant to allow it. I mean, with that wording it kind of implies it could copy Excalibur (even if it can't actually do that, the wording seems to imply it could), amongst so many other things.

...The telekinesis looks pretty unfair, too, but maybe that's just how I'm reading it. And the anti-magic... Hurm...

Uh, that's just how I see it, I guess.

Also... Dragon Knight~? >.> <.<

I might be seen as hypocritical for saying this, but Saber's antimagic does not extend to others, and has drawbacks in that magic cannot heal her. Also the description kind of implies he could take things like, well, Excalibur, which Saber definitely can't do.

Saber's is Magic Resistance as opposed to anti-magic, as well.

Not really. Excalibur pierces magic resistance, if I remember right.

...Really, it's a good thing it takes up so much mana to use that it would be really impractical to use unless we've crossed the Godzilla Threshold, not to mention that Saber would be really reluctant to use it due to how much collatoral damage it does.[lol]

[up][up][up]It's more of a semantics issue. If he were to copy Tsubame Gaeshi, which is a technique that requires 'a' sword, the staff is the replacement. But he couldn't copy something that the sword itself does.

Also: DRAGON KNIGHT!!!![lol] (The Knight part is no problem, but I need to think of a good way to implement the Dragon part)
