I wonder if we will get something that will pull a hero car out of the deck, without one these cards I think will not be good enough to really design around.
Arthas would be the ideal choice but non-legendary would be better.
Ideas for cards,
Legendary
- Blood-Queen Lana'thel: 6 mana, 2/5 When one of your minions attacks give it lifesteal.
- Lord Marrowgar: 5 mana 3/3 Battlecry, deal 4 damage to everything. Both heroes yell "BONESTORM".
- Deathbringer Saurfang: 4 mana 4/4, Battlecry, if hero is a deathknight gain +2/+2 and cleaves enemies next to minion it attacks.
- Sindragosa: 8 mana 8/8 all spells now deal 4 damage to the caster as your pathetic magic betrays you.
- Falric 5 mana 5/5 taunt, Battlecry if your hero is a deathknight summon Marwyn also a 5/5 with taunt
- Scourgelord Tyrannus, 5 mana 8/6, only attacks minions unless your opponent has none on the field.
- Professor Putricide 5 mana 2/7, at the end of your turn gain an 'Unstable Experiment' card.
- Unstable Experiment, 0 mana, cast a random targeted spell on a random target.
Spells, I want to see them neutral
- Anti-magic Shell: 3 mana: all spells do half damage to your hero until the start of your next turn.
- Anti-magic Zone 6 mana all spells do half damage to everything till your next turn.

My predictions for Arthas is that he's either a Kel'Thuzad that also raises the opponent's minions under your control, or that he will activate every Deathrattle you've activated before that game.
A new Wild player appears!
Do we have any confirmation that Lifesteal works differently than Mistress of Pain or Wickerflame? The official Blizzard post seems to confirm that it's damage dealt that triggers the heal: "When a card with Lifesteal deals damage, your hero is healed for the same amount. A useful ability to have at hand when you've already got both feet in the grave." (emphasis mine)

And that makes way more sense with the spell that has Lifesteal.
I'm kind of curious why they pick Jaina to be the central hero in the trailer considering the fact that she was Demoted to Extra in the latest Wo W expansion and some kind of talk about power would fit more with someone like Garrosh and Gul'dan.
Lifesteal is kind of like Priest, Warlock and Paladin's wet dream. Mage can also be a solid Lifesteal class given how that class is given no healing aside from Ice Barrier.

I would assume that you need to deal damage, but I was just reposting the info from Hearthpwn.
grahThey probably went with Jaina because of the two Hearthstone heroes who have a significant connection to Arthas, the dialogue makes more sense for Jaina than Uther. Also Laura Bailey.
This song needs more love.Well being the xpac focused around Wot K it would be her really. Her Horde counterpart would be Sylvanas but she isn't a hero in Hearthstone.

Since no one really talked about it, this week's brawl gives you fireworks for the "Wow" emote for each minion mini ragnaros eats. You get more fireworks at 10, 30 and 60 eaten minions. This can be Across multiple games.
BTW mini rag attacks a target on ITS turn, so Violet Illusionist makes you immune to one round of Rag fire, but Iceblock will not.
@Oazard: Mike Donais confirmed on Reddit that Benedict Cumberbatch Wickerflame Burnbristle will be retroactively given the Lifesteal keyword. An official statement from a Community Manager can be found here. Along with that comes the fix that Lifesteal + Auchenai will only trigger once.

Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation.Aw, no more hilarious self-OTK combos with Auchenai plus Burnbristle or Mistress of Pain. Or Yogg into Embrace + Spirit Lash, for maximum self-ownage.
Hmm, how about this? Play Yogg-Saron. Get Trapped in Amber -> Malygos. Then other spells to summon a bunch of minions, then Embrace the Shadows and Spirit Lash. I just hope that, when it happens, it'll be recorded so Trolden can highlight it for us.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"makes sense since thye ostensibly don't require the entire deck built around them.
Caverns nerf patch is live. Also, Viscious Fledgeling draft rate has been reduced in Arena, a handfull of cards have been retroactively given the Elemental tag and Frozen Throne pre-order is in the store.
Jade Spirit given the elemental tag
At the beginning of this xpack I made a Shaman deck called 'Jade is an Element, yeah?'
Time to see if that's become any more true.
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes. Finally, my Jade Pirate Elemental Shaman will be viable
Halazeal is an elemental now too; if only I had Kalimos, I might give Control Shaman another go.
Also, according to the datamining, We're getting a Frost Festival, presumably coinciding with expansion launch. There will be free arena tokens and bonus pack quests for playing Arena games.
I wouldn't be surprised if Frost Festival started before the expansion, actually. After this week there's a rough 3-week window, if release date guesses are correct.
(If so it'll be a wee bit annoying because you're getting 3 Un'goro packs off Arena rewards instead of 3 KFT packs, in addition to the 3 KFT packs from the mined Quests - First World Problems, I know.)
(Also, are we going to stick to KFT as the standard abbreviation, or is there an accepted alternative?)

Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation.KFT seems to be uncontested so far.
So, the Lich King seems to really be getting into this Hearthstone thing. He interviewed for a job at Blizzard, and when he was turned down for that, he decided to start his own E-sports team, composed entirely (it seems) of Tempo Storm players whom he murdered and raised as Death Knights. They can play 24/7 and never whine about food or working conditions. Seems legit to me!

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!""Reynad is not actually a Death Knight (though he does in fact hate the living)."
This is my favorite part of the whole thing, and it is completely and totally true.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Kappa.

The Revolution Will Not Be Tropeable
Correct.
By the way, due to the recent Q&A stream we know that Team 5 calls minions with just keywords 'French vanilla'.
