No Pirate Warrior is ever going to play 7 taunt minions, nor commit 1 mana on turn 1 to activate the Quest. That is a Control Warrior card if I've ever seen one.

Frankly, the one that concerns me the most is the Druid Quest, which is going to heavily reward the "ramp up to giant minions" play style and potentially lead to OTK turns in combination with draw mechanics. I mean, hello Malygos Druid. Who needs Aviana, anyway?

The Mage quest is kind of nuts too, but is going to be much harder to execute effectively. Time Warp basically reads, "Play all your end-of-turn effects, gain 10 mana, and draw a card." I wonder if OTK decks are going to be a thing with that, but the setup requires you to play relatively inefficiently.

I was being funny with the Pirate Quest bit, but it's basically a card for the Taunt Warrior. There can't be more love to it than there already is. Control Warriors can also benefit from that, of course.

Druid Quest makes Tyrantus not just playable, but a ridiculously dangerous win condition, on top of a bunch of other cards that would ordinarily be deemed as too slow. It's "summon" rather than "play" too, so some Jade Druids could possibly benefit from it, too.

So how does Time warp work? Does it immediately end your turn, draws a card, and makes it your turn again, or does your next turn start with the "End Turn" button

There's some interesting potential. Also for the quest, do duplicates of spells that DO exist in your deck count? For example, if I discover flamestrike, but I already have Flamestrike, does the second one count for the spell but not the first?

I imagine we'll see some blog posts clarifying Time Warp. It does sound like it acts as if you immediately pressed the End Turn button and then skipped your opponent's turn.

The Mage quest is kind of nuts too, but is going to be much harder to execute effectively. Time Warp basically reads, "Play all your end-of-turn effects, gain 10 mana, and draw a card."

It also makes any minion you play on the first turn essentially a charge minion since on the 2nd turn they can attack.

Time Warp changes the end turn button to "Extra turn".

So basically it's like a Kun effect but with more mana to use.

It's way too early to evaluate the meta, but Hunters definitely got the nuts. Druids are already crazy with Jade decks; I'm not sure if these new archetypes will be strong enough to change that. I see little to dethrone aggro decks from defining the early game, though.

it's cute that Priest got a Sorcerer's Apprentice equivalent. It suggests that Blizzard wants to move the class back to the control-heavy style that it used to run. There's still a ton of card stealing and board management tools available, and the Quest is designed to block blowout-style OTKs. I'm definitely going to try to build a competitive deck.

Binding Heal... that's basically the Flash Heal replacement. Very strong effect, but I'm afraid it also has a severe drawback in the anti-synergy with Auchenai Soulpriest and Embrace the Shadows. "Deal 5 to a minion and yourself" is much weaker than "Deal 5 damage". We're also losing Justicar Trueheart. So much for burst damage.

Priest had playable 1- and 2- drops with the Blackrock Mountain dragon cards. Now that those are gone, we'll have to rely on these new ones, and they are not nearly as strong in terms of board control.

Sorry, accidentally edited your post instead of adding my own.

Help, TV tropes wants to silence me

On another topic, i'm really liking the new Warrior Quest. Can we finally take Taunt Warrior seriously?

It is a two mana card but it is not a 2 drop, you can only use it when you are also playing a spell as you should never expect a 2/3 to survive a turn alone, ever.

It should be a 2/4 honestly.

Priests lost absolutely everything but gained nothing.

That would be nice, since my favorite deck is Taunt Warrior. And also completely useless.

Unconditional 2 mana 2/4's with upside should not be a thing, this game is powercreeped enough as it is.

And yet 2 mana 3/4s are just fine.

Seriously after everything that priest is losing it needed a MASSIVE amount of help it did not get.

Yes, but now Shamans get to play with Elementals and Murlocs, and even get some Control Shaman shenanigans, on top of the Jade package.

Priests have lost Dragon Priest and Renodecks. There's some effort to make Deathrattle Priest again, but it already existed with N'zoth and I don't think it's too popular at the moment.

You realize that Totem Golem had a significant downside, right? While Radiant Elemental has a notable upside instead? Besides, that epic neutral 1-drop from the facebook spoiler seems pretty good for Priests anyhow. (Oh yeah, there's facebook spoilers now too!)

I will attempt to construct a N'zoth Priest using the old Auchenai + Circle control meta, with burst healing as a backup plan. We'll see how it goes.
