By the way, who else was put off by the inconsistent animation? Ozpin and Ironwood looked stiff, but compare that to the final scene, where everything is pitch-perfect.
In general, the scenes with RWBY and JNPR look like motion capture sequences.

In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.you mean the version of I Burn? It's a great song and is definitely my favorite of the taller themes, but I like "Now it's Time (to Say Goodbye)" as it seems to be very apt to the way things are going.
Why is it that when Blake smiles, all is right?

'Cause Blake smiling is nice.
In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.Maybe I'd like Time to Say Goodbye better if the singer was actually singing rather than shriek-wailing, but as it is... yeah, I skip the opening every time. Hurts my ears, it does.
but HOW?Time To Say Goodbye is a much better opening song. <.<
In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.I don't feel it so much with this opening, but other songs in the OST do have that problem.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Man, White Rose just brought it home in this episode.
Cinder! Sinister!
Both RWBY openings work. I'm curious how many/what they'll use if they're going by this volume/half season development cycle. A new song for each volume. That sounds tricky. Then again, Naruto and Bleach have like... 30 openings by now, plus their ending songs.

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Naaah, I don't see it as shriek-wailing. It's rapid-fire singing.
By the way, I cannot overstate how much I love the lack of two-parters. Volume 2 now feels more like a mini-movie because of it.

In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.I was waiting for the credits to roll right when Ozpin left the room, then I remembered this is Volume 2.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Personally, I much prefer This Will Be The Day. The new OP isn't doing it for me at all. It's kind of... discordant? That plus the aforementioned problem with the vocalist, which I agree with as well.
I liked that the board game was used as a way to drop a little worldbuilding (Vacuo is a desert, Atlas uses androids, etc). That's a better way to exposit than "As You Know".
I also liked Ozpin's VA performance this episode, he's been pretty consistently good lately.

I fail to see the problem with the vocalist or the lyrics, honestly.
I remember the cut-aways, the visuals, and the lyrics a lot more from Time To Say Goodbye than I do with This Will Be The Day.

In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.I think all the songs are kick-ass, and Casey Lee Williams does a fantastic job on all of them. That being said, I do enjoy Volume 2's OP more since the it feels a lot more polished and put together. But that's just my opinion .
...
and I quote " Wait so... lemme get this straight:
Ozpin: The Wizard of Oz
Glynda Goodwitch: Glinda, the good witch of the north
James Iron Wood: Tin Man
Qrow: Scarecrow
So then... who is the lion and Dorothy?
"
- Okay first off I actualy like the new opening.
- 2nd I Burn (the ending you mentioned) is Yang's Image Song. I doubt they would pick that over Red Like Roses if they were gonna use character themes as opening themes

Red vs Blue Reference!
Mercury says they "got turned around."
....Which was one of Donut's lines in the episode that introduced him and Caboose.
Nothing is what it seems. Master of Shipping and Sadism.99% sure James Ironwood is Gepetto.
Was it he who appeared in the preview next to Penny? And was it his country that was mentioned in the board game to use androids? Because that would seal the deal.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Sorry, but how the hell is Cinder passing as a student? Or not trigger any suspicion at all in mere appearance. I would also question of her, Emerald and Mercury being able to pull this off, unless this Haven place is in the ruse.
Also, bets on Ozpin's weapon being his cane.
I think I just got an realization about why they keep using Huntsman and Huntresses over Hunters: maybe Hunters would imply a faceless soldier, so to speak. Like they have no real identity.

Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!Hunter was trade marked and they didn't want Rexar to sue them, or worse, unleashing the hounds.

Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2Hmm... the mention of 'destroying night clubs' implies to me that Yang's trailer probably occured *during* the final two parter of season 1, when Blake went missing? Everyone says that the girl she was looking for in that trailer isn't Blake, but I dunno, who else could it be?
Would they seriously be trashing night clubs that often?
Hahahahaha Ruby knows what's up with Cinder :D
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!@TTPR: It's entirely possible that no one has actually seen Cinder in person. (Even during the fight between her and Glynda, Cinder kept her face hidden). Ozpin and co. obviously know about the existence of a mysterious "Queen", and that she's a major threat. But it's very likely they've never actually SEEN her. Heck, they probably don't even know that it was her fighting Glynda. And they CERTAINLY wouldn't expect her to just waltz into their school. I mean imagine if someone said to you:
"Hey! Did you see that kid? Yeah, he's the new leader of Al'Queada."
In fact, this could actually be a brilliant move on Cinder's part. Using the cover of the Vytal festival to infiltrate Beacon and possibly assassinate key targets who would otherwise be unreachable.

Huh. I don't remember it at all. Sounds kickass, though.
but HOW?
