I wanted the Mecha Men to be a bit more challenging. Finger-guns? Wrist-blades? Come on. It was a bit wasted to have them just be regular mooks, though that could change in the series itself.
In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.I've seen cooler Mecha-Mooks reduced to scrap even quicker in the past. Like in that one GI Joe show with the giant car-stomping walking tanks that where blown apart by one shot from a laser pistol. I hated that show when I was a kid.
It's interesting to note how sometimes they get cut clean in half with a single stroke and sometimes it takes a full combo. I just use Videogame logic and say "Critical hit!"
At least the Spider Tank put up a better fight. Lord knows who made all those droids, though.
Adam rubs me the wrong way. His red and black jacket, his flame-like white mask, his spikey red hair, his rose motif, his shotgun-sheathe - all of that fit so well with the background that it takes attention away from Blake.
The fact that he's the one that dealt the final blow to the Spider Tank doesn't sit well with me either.
In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.Agreed.
Of course, the question isn't whether he'll die or not but rather when he will. Actually, I'll make an addition to the betting pool.
- Survives to the end of the series. 1/50000
I have a better betting pool. 1 in 10 chances from now on.
In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.Hmmmm.
I need 3:43 for my wallpaper.

I was fully expecting another Bad Ass music video, so I was pumped up the whole day, waiting for the trailer.
Cue a piano piece and both characters getting Suddenly Voiced. That kinda took the excitement away, but it still looks great.
In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.......Weiss singing her theme didn't make it obvious there would be voice acting?
Watch SymphogearSuddenly Voiced in a trailer where its two predecessors had no lines. That's what surprised me.

In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.Yeah. I knew there would be voice action in the show proper, I just thought the rest of the character trailers would follow the MV pattern.
Time to leave them all behindIt is pretty jarring. Not a bad thing, mind. Same deal with Adam. I disliked that he sort of stole the show, but maybe we're supposed to dislike him.
I vote Ray Narvaez to be his voice actor.
In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.He didn't realy steal the show that much, IMO.
Or is it because He's a male character in a nearly all female cast..

Watch SymphogearI wouldn't have nearly as much of an issue with Adam if he was voiced by someone else.
Ray Narvaez, please. The entire rose motif was probably something he pitched in, too.

In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.As far as I know the Achievement Hunter team isn't involved in RWBY at all. Heck, Gavin and Gus have said on the podcast how they're in a similar boat to the rest of the viewers in anticipating trailers.
Oh, that's pretty cool. You rarely see people in a studio being fans of a show coming from the same studio.
In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.On another forum that has this thread as well, there is speculation that Blake is related to Ruby in some way due to their shared rose motif which I felt was pretty blatant. Also, it's kinda of easy to connect the end of the video with the grave Ruby visits in her video. Or that might be too much of a reach.
I thought Monty said there's no relation between Adam and Ruby. If it's Blake and Ruby, well, I doubt it, since we've seen no indication that they even know each other.
What's your theory on the setting and contents of the Yellow trailer?

In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.I don't think Adam hogged the spotlight; I think he split the spotlight, and we're just very used to these trailers focusing on a single character.

Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.Well he was the first one to attack, the one who landed the final blow, bails Blake out of trouble and we even get a better feel for his personality... I'd say he did indeed get the lion's share of that trailer.
You can see her reluctance at the very beginning of the trailer, when he gets her ready to attack the train. Apparently, blowing up a train with passengers was the furthest he'd gotten by then.
Think about it this way. Without rewatching it, what do you remember most from the trailer? Most of it, for me, boiled down to Adam. He dealt the final blow. He saved her from the Spider Tank. He drew first blood. We know of his personality more than Blake. It was pretty jarring, since I was expecting Blake to be the sole character in the trailer.

In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl. So, which fairy tale would the Black trailer be based on?
You guys like Let's Plays? You guys like shameless plugs? Well, come on down! Not really based on any, from what I can tell. Best guess would be Beauty and the Beast; Blake has head-thingies that look like animal ears and yellow eyes, the rose petals could be a reference to the Disney version of the story, and her relationship with Adam seems almost like an inverse of the fairy tale. Instead of her finding an unattractive beast and loving him despite his deformity because of his human heart, she grows disaffected from the cool and attractive Adam because he's kinda an asshole.
However, I think that's stretching.
As for Adam hogging the spotlight, after rewatching it, I see what you guys mean.

Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.
Yeah, like I need another reason to dislike him! XD
I mean, yeah, I already ship all four girls together. Yes I realize I barely know any of their personalities. Yes I know we haven't even seen one of them. Don't care.
I criticize what I want! Ksss!
Of course any levied at the choreography are ridiculous.
