I would have bought this if it included the levels from Duck Tales 2, which is the one I owned and I grew up with. I have played the original Duck Tales, but only at a friend's place.
Apparently they have plans for a Chip and Dale remaster as well, which I'll probably get since I played the hell out of that cartridge as a kid.
For we shall slay evil with logic...Personally, I want a Goof Troop Remastered. THAT was the one I grew up playing.
I wouldn't mind a Darkwing Duck remaster, even if it's not that exciting a game, if only because I grew up with the show and would love to see and hear it again.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I know I'm ludicrously late to the party, but I finally got this game (for Wii-U - twas on sale), and it's both good and... well... kinda sad. Hearing as much of the old cast as they could put together really made the fact that we lost Hamilton Camp and Hal Smith in the meantime hit me, especially after Christine Cavanaugh's passing this week. The new guys they have doing the roles are pretty good, but you can still hear the difference. Fenton and Gyro even have a few scenes together <...sniffle...>.
Which made me realize that Alan Young is in his mid-90's and is probably not going to be around for much longer either... at which point I realized I was focusing on the really sad stuff and just enjoyed the game.
The music is amazing, holy crap. The Amazon theme is now up with some of my favorite. This was another Earthworm Jim, where I played/heard the remastered music first and then looked up the original soundtrack (so I dunno if it's considered a sin to like the remastered soundtrack like it seems to be in some circles of Earthworm Jim fans), but like Earthworm Jim it served to introduce me to the original soundtrack as well and that's amazing. I love it when composers back in the day something complex, harmonious or just plain funky out of a simple sound systems like the old systems had. Anyway, by far my favorite (of both soundtracks, I think):
Y'know, Disney could really have a video game department to be reckoned with if they partnered with the right developer and started paying more attention to their games, including the tie-ins to their movies (which typically stink). Even without remastering - why not design a bunch of retro-style games for some of their older (or even their newer) characters. Or try their hand at some really big projects for their newer (or older, whatever) concepts - the Epic Mickey series is really the only one I can remember them putting a lot of pull towards.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. This game is going to be on PS+ for January. Should I give it a go?
Cortex should take a 12-step plan off a 10-step pierSo... Rescue Rangers Remastered never, then?
I want Goof Troop Remastered.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I wonder if we'll ever get an Aladdin Remastered. The SNES version, of course.
"Great Scott! Send in the Doomsday Squad!"
I beat Extreme mode today. It wasn't too hard, though there were times I was walking around with 0 lives left and 1 heart, desperately hoping I find ice cream or a 1-Up.
The final climb is a lot harder. The first half, anyway; Glomgold and Magica are a LOT faster than they were on Hard mode. The lava climb was really easy since I know the shortcut.
Anyway, I only just a few minutes ago, while thinking about the final boss music, that it has bits of the Transylvania theme in it. Nice touch, and I feel sorta silly that I didn't notice before.
