You didn't read articles on it, did you? They're rehasning several areas of the existing levels to make them better, plus we get a new prologue level in the form of the Money Bank.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987And even then, what about retro gamers like me who never played original?
And you get the ability to swim in a money pool. That gets fuller the more money you collect throughout the game.
Oh, and some voice acting, apparently.
Including lines from Scrooge's now 94 year-old VA, who got into his old groove like a champ.
As to boycotting: I say buy the games they make that are actually good, and stay away from any bullcrap ventures they put out. Why miss out on Duck Tales and Monster Hunter, right?
I have a message from another time...I stand corrected on the remade levels, then.
As for those who haven't played it, by all means, go nuts. I'm not trying to be Charleston Heston, running around screaming "DON'T BUY THIS GAME!" I'm just not jumping up and down in my seat in hyperactive joy. Though the remade levels have certainly piqued my interest.
Don't take life too seriously. It's only a temporary situation.I never actually had a Ducktales game (not even on Game Boy, even though I had one) and only played them on emulators, so the nostalgia is lost on me (not completely, though, since there is still nostalgia attached to the show itself). Still, I think it's something to look forward. I just hope they get rid of the respawning enemies (granted, the biggest issue about that was that respawning enemies on a NES game are just awful).
People aren't as awful as the internet makes them out to be.I seriously hope this will help Capcom re-release their other classics, like Rescue Rangers or The Little Merma-*shot*
Signatures are for lamers.Way forward says that if this does well they'll do the Chip And Dale Rescue Rangers game next.
Watch SymphogearYou'll love this.
All the original actors will be voice acting.

Jonah Falconaccording to the destructoid coverage of it, it'll also control like the old game. right down to scrooge having his pogo jump.
Also the sections that look unfamiliar are apparently where the dev team went back. watched the TV show, and redid levels to look more like the TV show than generic 8bit representations of the tv show.
^^ So I'm guessing Gyro and Glomgold aren't in the game, then?
Though I guess for Gyro they could get Jim Cummings to do a reasonable job.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. That the use the original voice actors may be nice, but is hardly of interest to me, since I don't know them.
On that note, I hope this gets localized here with the VAs of the German version TV show, when possible (and I normally prefer original versions). Although Wikipedia tells me that they partly used different VAs in both seasons (and in the second one, all triplets were voiced by the same person), something I never noticed. Although that's kind of lucky, if they do it, since Scrooge's VA of the first season is dead.
People aren't as awful as the internet makes them out to be.Personally I don't mind, but I guess a completely localised voiceover would actually make it easier to digest for most of us Germans, because Scrooge doesn't speak a stereotypical Scotsman tongue in the German version, so the original voiceover could come across as a bit jarring even to people who prefer watching movies in their original language.
Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence.Oooh, it looks amazing! :) can't wait 'til it's released. ^^
Looks like a great game, I'll make a note to get it.
Though I'm surprised they didn't go with "Count Drakeula."
Minor Nitpick: That didn't sound like Chuck Mc Cann as Burger, but then he's getting up there in age too.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I'm kinda surprised that the german and english V As for the kids sound really alike. Or maybe that's just me misremembering the series, but still. xD
This is a very pleasant surprise! Can't wait to get my hands on this!
although it does make me question how Capcom can get its hands on the Duck Tales franchise, but can't put their hatred of Megaman aside for a few months and make an actual Megaman game...
Something I've noticed from the gameplay above:
- the person playing it kinda sucks
- the levels, or at least the Transylvania Mansion, has been changed a bit, mainly with the addition of the Beagle Boy-Minibosses and outsite- and cave-areas (which look absolutely gorgeous, if I do say so myself)

I'm just overjoyed the game looks to control very similar to the original. And that the animations for Scrooge are gorgeous.
The bouncing looked like it should. That's the best part of the game if you ask me so I'm happy that they seem to have got that right.
Quod gratis asseritur, gratis negatur. From the interviews theyve had so far, it sounded like Wayforward was being obsessive with getting everything right.
That's Way Forward for ya.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.What systems is this coming out for? I may just need to get it.
Also, swimming in gold may be the greatest thing they could throw in.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! It's coming out for PS 3, 360, and Wii U.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.
I'm going to be rather bitter and cynical here, but as fun as the original game is, I'm rather hesitant about this.
If it's a remake with new level designs and perhaps even new levels, I'll approve. But it almost looks like a shiny remake of the original with the levels being exactly the same.
Capcom is no stranger to nostalgia marketing, they've made Mega Man 9 and 10. But just redoing the original game all shinier? Can't say it really appeals to me when I can just play the original. But, as I said, if it is new level designs or more, I'd love to play it.
