I know I would buy it just for the cover.

That and the full manual.

I wish we had more games with a full manual again.

I loved reading the manual when I come home from the store and than when I get home I put the disc into the system.

New trailer for Plague of Shadows DLC

Looks like the Explodatorium is indeed the Base of Operations, whereas the Town and Armory have you sneaking around behind buildings and fighting knights.

Also, looks like Plague Knight's trek through the Hall of Heroes includes less ghost slaying and more destruction of property.

I cannot wait to play this.

Though this looks like it should be paid content when compared to some other big publishers and their idea of DLC.

Also dat music. Plague Knight has the best battle tune.

That bit where the music kicks up as the spinny elevators activate was perfect.

Where can I get that remix? I need it.

Plague Knights theme was one of the few in the game not composed by Jake Kaufman.

It was composed by the composer of the original Megaman, Manami Matsumae.

Huh.

And here I thought it was High Above The Land that she did.

She only did the version in the Remix Album. I believe the Plague Knight and Treasure Knight stage themes are the only tracks she contributed to the game proper.

Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows releases next week on the 17th!

Plague of Shadows releases today!

So who does Plague Knight fight in the Explodatorium? Looks like I'll find out later...

I would guess Shovel Knight.

Or some sort of simulacrum of himself.

Is it supposed to come out at a specific time, or is it already out and I can't find it?

I can't find it either

I just played through Plague of Shadow's version of the Plains of Passage, so it's out on Steam right now. Just need to turn the game on again to tell it to update.

Explosions everywhere

I have the Wii U version.

Ah, Sorry. I don't have a Wii-U and didn't know there was/would be a 3DS version when I bought it on Steam, so that's the only one I'm familiar with.

Wii-U doesn't have it yet, or at least I'm not getting any indication how to get it yet if there is.

I had to exit the game to get it to install automatically.

I was wondering why it wasn't working.

Wii U totally has it.

And it is glorious.

And hard. Oh my god Plague Knight can move when he's chaining bomb jumps. It's just hard to stick the landing.

Finally got it.

Was looking through the new feats, and Plague Knight's version of Untouched specifically excludes King Knight.

Also this game is balls hard.

Balls are kinda soft actually.

<shrug> I've tried exiting and reentering, checking the shop channel, checking downloads, the works: can't find a way to either obtain the DLC or activate it if I already do have it.

The game did check for updates at some point during all that, but there was no noticeable difference in the game itself afterwards. Is there something within the game that has to be done in order to activate it?

Can it only be done with a brand new game (actively starting a brand new save file is the only thing I haven't tried yet), or with an already completed game via new game plus, etc?
