Sarah and Simon exited Reise with their info gathered.

With Nolan, Melissa and Vaughn they sit at a nearby office, showing what they've found in the mech.

"The mech's modifications are extremely dangerous and unsafe. Whoever Hans was working for before he joined us here must've had a dangerous idea of how to battle the eldritchians." Sarah explained showing the insides of the connection plug.

"Well *hands clasped* This is problematic." Nolan replied.

"You're telling me. Things have been getting way too complicated here. Why can't we just fight the eldritchians and end this war. There is always some massive issue with everyone going on." Simon remarked, confused by the barrage of events occuring.

"Well, that was fun," Jack remarked as he climbed out of his mech, the paint was scratched and the metal was torn into, smoke was coming out of the left arm socket. George just nodded, his mech was battered, dents all over the arms and one deep one in the chest, a slash was going through his mech's eye. They had won the fight, two on one it was expected, but their opponent had put up a good fight. "Lets go get some chow, meet the other pilots." George spoke finally.

Magnus landed his mech in a somewhat-out-of-the-way spot. He exited and looked at his mech's armor, analyzing just how bad it actually was. A few dents and paint splatters covered the surface, but there were far more lascannon marks than anything else. Oh, and a missing arm.

"Shouldn't take too long to fix...," he said to no one in particular.

Sarah looked towards Simon, nodding in agreement as Nolan thought about his next move.

"Is there any way to remove these 'modifications' in Reise?" he asked.

"Well yes but it will take some time." Sarah stated.

"That's good enough for me. Hans needs some time off from that mech anyway. I'll call in a team to assist you guys. Hopefully this works." Nolan stated.

Dan and Summer waited nervously for Destiny to come out with the results but feared the fact that she and whoever else looked at they're results would know their part Eldritchian.

All Dan could think was This is mind boggling to say the least. I mean I guess it makes sense with how our parents treated us. I mean they never forced me and Summer to do anything. But still a part of me is those monsters and that's disturbed. And in the end that psychic reaper was right. I am like it. But still I just wonder what would make our parents go to such lengths?

Meanwhile Summer was thinking This whole time our parents tricked us. Sure they were nice and never forced anything on us but we were experiments, our DNA is part alien and all I have to trust is Dan. But that eldritchian was right, I am like it and I was dependant on Dan too much. But I love him, he's the bestest friend I've had since the start but it was right I couldn't let anyone take him from me and he still seems oblivious to how I feel. But still what else could there be?

Damn malfunctions. making me miss the fight Knight had broken down on the way into the bay. It was bad luck on a scale that Harvey had never seen in his life. Harvey had needed to preform several quick fixes on the spot just to get the mecha walking again. Probably needs more matinece than what I'm giving it but I'm sure they have people for that here. Wouldn't be much of an Eldritchian taskforce if they didn't

Harvey climbed down to the floor and looked around. "Hey is there anyone here?" He called out. "I got orders to transfer here."

As Nolan stood in his room wondering about his next move, he saw Harvey outside in the base calling out for help.

He then quietly walks down to Harvey stating "Mr Jackson, what a pleasure to meet you. I'm sorry about all this. It's been a busy couple of days lately. So what do you want?"

The time had come. Reviewing the results and running a few tests, Destiny was alerted there were trespassers in the Sullies/Turings' lab. Being shown the footage with only one camera covered rather poorly she had them wait for dealing with them. As it stood, the two were hardly a threat at their current state despite seeming to share biological traits with the Spacial Disrupter and the Emotional Enigma. In addition to their status as being Generation One Fae and their rather impressively flawed design she doubted they'll be capable of more than Rank Beta applications of their parent Eldritichian's powers. Nevertheless, she didn't fully understand their genetic make-up and knew very well Psychic-Types have their actual powers stored in their mind than any biological component. Thus, she wasn't going to approach them anytime soon without protection.

Footsteps approaching the location of Dan and Summer a familiar woman approached with a set of papers in her hands. Stopping before them and looking them over, she spoke "Well I'm glad to see the two of you are still here and alive for that matter. I've fully had the results and samples analyzed, and it seems..." Her voice turning dark and disgust slowly creeping on her face, she finished "You're illegal bio-experiments of Eldritichian origin. Now then, please don't make things complicated."

Dan and Summer look towards each other nervously, deciding to play along with Destiny as being unaware.

"But how can that be?" Summer asked.

"I can't be like those monsters. Look at me I'm human." Dan stated.

Summer spoke up again asking "So what are we going to do?"

Whistling and nodding in some mockery of a nod of approval, she responds "Do you know how? Because this happens." For a few seconds, nothing happens. Immediately a second later a young man materializes next to her, and leaning slightly close he sniffs Dan. Pulling back and lightly growling she continues "By the way, you know what the Fae are?"

"What do I want?" Harvey stroked his chin for a moment, apparently forgetting his lack of facial hair. "Well I'll need some food first off, some quarters would be nice and can I get someone out here to work on my mecha? Thing hasn't been working quite right lately." Think that probably covers it. Meanwhile, in Echo City's control tower, the operators picked up an unidentified aircraft's signal in their radars. It's was a relatively small machine, roughly the same size as a fighter-jet. They quickly established a communication link with it.

-"Echo City to unidentified pilot, you're getting too close to a restricted area. Identify yourself before we initiate the defensive protocol."

-"This is Celeste D. Caballero, GeneSys' test-pilot #7. I've been sent here under Dr. Igor Reitman request. I'm transferring the security codes I've been granted, and I request landing permission."

The operators verify her codes, and match her ID and data with city's itinerary..

-"OK pilot, everything is in order. We've granted you clearance to land on the hangar #4. We're activating visual-aid to guide you up."

-"Thanks! ...Oh, and have a nice day!"

And so, Celeste cut-off the transmission before turning her focus back to Echo City. Even from a long distance, the sight of such city was still something awe-inspiring for her. Though she had seen, and even inhabited, a fair share of dome-cities like it in the past, this one was the most impressive of them all. The finest and most advanced stronghold ever created by mankind. She couldn't wait to arrive to it!

Using the visual aid provided by the control tower operatives, and the state of the art-technology inside of her aircraft, she performed a smooth an precise vertical landing inside of the hangar #4. A small group of curious technicians and mechanists gathered near the artifact to see what kind of pilot had arrived this time. Most of them inferred she wasn't a mecha pilot, because she didn't brought such machine with her, but they still wanted to see the new visitor.

The tightly sealed, devoid of windshields, cockpit opened up to reveal an figure clad in an imposing suit of powered armor. This sight startled some of them, as the suit projected an aggressive kind of aura. However, their reaction dissipated when the pilot removed her helmet to reveal the face of a frail looking girl, sporting a single braid made by her long brown hair. She didn't looked like a combat pilot, her eyes were devoid of aggression and battle-weariness. Most of them assumed she was part of some kind of publicity stunt, maybe an actress contracted for one of Melissa Winters' cheesy events meant to raise morale.

Most of the crowd scattered after the reveal, going back to their usual activities, leaving behind only some inquiring eyes who couldn't turn their gaze away, either due to disappointment or because they found her kind of cute. Celeste looked around, hoping to find some kind of welcome committee, or at least someone who could give her some indications. A nondescript man clad in a black suit and opaque shades approached to her and asked her to sign some documents, nothing important, only some formalities necessary due to her arrival. After finishing the paperwork, the man informed her that the Commander Nolan Briggs wouldn't be able to meet up with her at the moment, but that she was free to explore the installations while she waited. Celeste thought to herself:

-"Well, this wasn't the kind of welcome that I was waiting for. I cannot help but to feel I botched my first impression. If I had brought Bastion-Sigma along with me, everything would have been more impressive... Unfortunately, my friend will need some time to be fully repaired after our last battle. And Commander Briggs isn't even around here... What should I do?"

Celeste pondered for a while, idling around her aircraft while thinking about her next move. Suddenly, her stomach started growling. It was a long trip all the way from GeneSys HQ to Echo City, and she didn't brought any snacks with her... It wouldn't have helped anyway, because she can't eat with her helmet tightly locked-down during the whole flight. Therefor, she decided it would be nice to grab a meal, it I'll help her to stay focused and calm when it comes the time of meeting up with Nolan and her future comrades.

She whispered a voice-command which deactivated the seal of her powered-armor, allowing her to step-outside of it. She was clad in a GeneSys' jumpsuit, not too different from the uniform worn by the most of the personal inside of this base, besides its distinctive color schema and the prominent logo on its back. Then she issued another command, and the armor started moving on its own towards a hatch located in Celeste's aircraft, which also was activated automatically after the command was issued. After the suit folded itself inside of it, Celeste stored her helmet along with it, and with a last command, the ship was tightly locked-down under a security seal.

She typed some instructions in her wrist-mini-computer, which displayed an extensive holographic map of almost the whole base. A myriad of of interesting places and useful information was right in front of her, but at this particular moment in time, she was interested in only one thing: "PIP Boy! Show me the most convenient route to reach the cafeteria." a little text display in the hologram indicated: "Right away, miss!" Having memorized the route, Celeste rushed-off to find a good meal.

During the whole trip, myriad to thoughts passed through her mind, regarding what kind of food would she find in the dinning room, the interesting places she might explore when the times comes to visit the city, the words she'd use to dress Nolan when she finally meets him, and all the experiences she was eager to share with her future comrades. Who knows? Maybe she could become a good friend to them!

When she arrived at the cafeteria, she quickly scanned the menus with her sight to find something of her liking. A sandwich might be fine to satisfy her hunger, but she also had the urge to eat something sweet, like a sundae! She just couldn't contain herself when it came to candy and other sweet treats. However, her survey was interrupted when she noticed a trio of peculiar looking individuals eating and talking in a nearby table, their looks contrasted heavily with the unified look of the uniformed personnel she had seen so far. They definitely looked like pilots to her!

However, she studied throughly all the data she had available of every single pilot in the Delta Squad, but she didn't remember seeing any of those individuals in the archives she was provided before her re-assignment. One them was an imposing bald man who had cybernetic-implants in place of his missing arms; he looked incredibly tough, and he had an aura of stoicism around him... He must have seem plenty of harsh battles in his life. The other was a slick guy wearing a trench coat and distinctive pair of sunglasses; he appeared to be rather enthusiastic and out-spoken, but there was something about him that slightly unnerved her. To be honest, both of them were a bit scary for her... But seeing them together, she could tell they were good comrades, so maybe they're be really nice guys after all! The third one was a man clad in powered-armor... Or maybe a woman clad in powered-armor! It wouldn't be rare, considering how many people have mistaken her for a male while she was clad in her own armor... I was kinda funny to see their reactions after she shows them the truth. Anyway, back to the last person: His... Or her ("Dang! This is confusing" she thought) armor was quite impressive, and even beautiful! A far shot from GeneSys' suits, which were far bulkier and rough around the edges. It didn't look like any other armor she had seen previously either. Maybe it was a custom creation?! Her curiosity sky-rocketed.

After a few seconds of silent observation, she decided to introduce herself to them. After all, if they were going to work together from now on, they'll need to know each other, so that they could become a perfectly functional and well synchronized team. Her first impression at the hangar was disappointing, but now it was her change to redeem herself! However, at the last second, her nervousness and shyness got the best of her...

-"H-h-hello my fellow p-p-pilots! My name is C-c-c-eleste D. Caballero, and I-I-I'll be your new comr-r-r-ade! Nice to meet you!", She said before bowing down to them

-"No, no, no, no, NO!", she thought, "Celeste, you fool! What the heck was that! That introduction was so stilted and devoid of confidence! You have ruined it again! AAAARGH! Now they'll think I'm some kind of clown."

Celeste remained immobile, "frozen" at the end of her bow gesture, waiting for the impending reaction of the people in front of her.

Lightly chuckling she speaks "In short, the Fae are inhuman creatures. Early Generation One human/Eldritichians tended to be too powerful or inhuman, and even in the current Generation they need to be raised specifically to understand humanity. Thus, given the inherently inhuman nature of half-Eldritichians these hybrids are termed Fae. So unless your parents had files specifically stating you're not Fae the tests and Conner here would state so. Yes, you honestly thought there was only one security camera in the lab? Though, we're not going to do anything to you. Miss Destiny simply asks that the two of you make occasional visits for check-ups and tests."

It felt like months, mostly out of boredom since anything happened. The man's left eye telescoping for a closer image while he tapped his right eye he spoke softly "Oh, you're not Mister Asimov. I was wondering why there was a lack of panic and screams. Well, if you don't mind-" Faith had been unusually quiet and friendly being in the city, but nevertheless interrupted the man "Hey, will this do for now?" Presenting a cybernetic eye she had pocketed before the man, he examined it and remarked rather amused "My niece got me one of these on her fifth birthday. Not terribly advanced but hardly out-dated so it will do for now, so thank you." After a short bit the man left having paid for the eye, and Faith stretched out her arms "Lets go, know any places to eat around here?"

First someone must of claimed one of Samson's ideas for their own, and then some idiot tried calling him. In short, Samson only put away half of the material before he showed up running into the machine which ultimately resulted in an chase scene too epic and complicated to describe. Heavily panting on the outside of the deep section entrance with a tired Alissa he looked at the bag. The already small amount of bio-material was even less, and he barely had a chance to check the results the machine came up with. Still it was better than none, and Samson better understood why he shouldn't be the enemy of a Fae. Ruffling Alissa's blonde hair, she looked up to him curiously and hoping he was back to his usual self.

Standing up straight and putting the bag away, Samson cracked his neck side-to-side "Well, I hope to never deal with that again. Thanks for helping me Alissa, but I should be going soon. I bet Faith is hitting people with oversized keys by now so I really-" Her hand grabbing his shirt, she looks up to Samson. Signing, he bent down for her to climb onto his back and he spoke as he headed down the hall "Fine, but I'm only carrying you to your room. I need to find my friend before I leave anyways, so he can wait a little longer."

Having made a deal of selling some of the old powered armor SERVE has for some mecha parts and a few blueprints there was only one thing left on Gerald's list: Check Summer's home to see if she discovered her "present" yet. Admittedly, while the joke wasn't too clever, he honestly wanted to see her reaction. He mostly loathed jokes like that, but Faith came up with it so he decided to go with it. Disappointed to find the lights off, Gerald was about to call Nolan to inform him of the deal when he heard a soft mewing. Turning in its direction to spot a kitten, if it could be called that, it looked at him with a curious eye.

Stubby lumps of bone grew along the ridges of its spine, its left paw was covered in some fusion of fur and scales, its right eyesocket a hollow void, and smoke(?) lightly escaping from its nostrils. While its timing was somewhat suspicious and SERVE Bio-Lab Alpha formerly being the main research into Animal/Eldritichian research such creatures have been appearing ever since the war against the Eldritichians began. Going by what its physical age and fitness it would seem it was born naturally like that, though the question was why it wasn't yet dead or taken care of. Still, Gerald had always been partial to animals mainly because they couldn't complain but also because they would care about him even when others wouldn't. Picking up the cat, he would explain his reasoning for bringing it back as a research subject (being true nonetheless) though to himself because he was interested in the kitten. Thus Gerald and the kitten began their way to SERVE, not entirely afraid for Faith.

"Alright that sounds good." Dan replied.

"Yeah let's go. We'll be in contact." Summer added. The duo quietly leave, narrowly avoiding a problem. Dan then decides to call up Samson.

"..Damn voicemail...I'll leave him a message. *beep* Hey Samson, it's us. We're going back to the SERVE HQ now. Call me back when you have the chance. *hangs up*" Dan looks towards Summer with relief.

As the two make their way back to the base on a bus and train, Summer stops by her house.

"Why are we here?" Dan asked.

"I just need to take care of something." Summer replied as she searched the house for the 'gift' Faith and Gerald sent her. Finding it, she smashes it into pieces and throws it in the garbage without a peak and goes back to Dan.

"Done and dusted." Summer remarked smiling as she and Dan arrive back at the base to see new pilots at the cafeteria.

"Wow new pilots. We haven't been gone that long." Summer joked.

"Let's say hi." Dan suggested as the two walk up to the new pilots and greeted them.

Alex was a bit freaked out by Faith's actions there but nonetheless was glad it was over.

"A good place to eat? I dunno. Do you like fast food or anything?" Alex replied to Faith, wondering how he got put in this.

Nolan bought Harvey to his quarters and sent food for him. As he went back to his office, he was informed that Celeste D. Caballero had arrived and is in the cafeteria.

"Oh, well I better meet her." Nolan thought to himself as he walked to the cafeteria. As he walked he saw Dan and Summer arrive, walking in the same direction as him, presumably wanting to introduce themselves to the new pilots. He then stopped as he saw Celeste try to talk to the pilots.

Realising how awkward it was he quickly intervened.

"You must be Celeste D. Caballero. I'm Commander Nolan Briggs. I'm sorry I couldn't meet you as soon as you arrived. Things have been busy lately as you might've heard." Nolan said.

...However nothing happened... Nothing but dead silence and awkward looks (well, except from the man... woman... the person clad in powered armor!) from the people in front of her. Her nervousness level increased even more after that. During her pilot training, she was taught how to avoid getting caught in an inescapable situation, always considering her advantages and weaknesses to try find an escape route even in the most frantic combat... But standing there, caught in this extremely uncomfortable social situation, she couldn't think of any escape route! What was she supposed to do? If she tried talking more, she risked digging herself even deeper. If she politely turned away in a stoic fashion, she would look like a stuck-up and arrogant person. But if she ran away in panic, she be marked forever as some kind of unstable loonie. The seconds looked like hours to her, and she even started to sweat cold due to the panic.

However, the situation was quickly diffused when a third variable was introduced to the equation: The polite voice of a man she was so eager to meet in person, Commander Nolan Briggs! ...And she was turning her back on him, while she was still stuck in that uncomfortable bow gesture. Thinking about it with clarity, the whole moment just turned even more awkward because of that... But at least she was glad she didn't have to think of an escape route anymore. After all, when you hit bottom, the only way left is up... Right?!

She quickly turned back, slightly startled, to face the man who spoke to her. There was no doubt about it, he was indeed Commander Nolan Briggs, one of the heroes who stood up against the Eldritchian during the first contact. Even when he was outclassed by their enemies, he found a way to reach out for victory during mankind's first battle against the invaders, all while doing his best to save as much lives as possible. He was a genuine living legend, the gold standard every pilot should yearn for. And along with him the "Prodigy Children", Dan Sully and Summer Turing, were right in front of Celeste too. She had read plenty about them, the latest and already some of the greatest pilots under S.E.R.V.E.'s command, it's been rumored that they have unlimited potential, just like their powerful machines, which seem to harness an energy which still defies the minds of even GeneSys' greatest geniuses. These young man and woman have been key elements during S.E.R.V.E.'s latest battles against the invaders... And yet, they looked surprisingly... Normal... Celeste didn't know exactly how to describe it... Like they were ordinary teenagers who have never fought a battle in their entire lives. From her point of view, they looked so relaxed, confident, and happy!

Indeed... Celeste was standing in front of giants among men and women; one would have to be extremely arrogant to not feel little while in front of such outstanding persons. Needless to say, she was even MORE apprehensive than before, even her respiration stopped for a brief amount of agonizing seconds. She was caught completely by surprise this time, and she didn't have any words for them! But this was no time to panic! She had to think of something and fast!

-"My previous introduction lacked any backbone and came up as extremely unnatural... So, repeating that would be a terrible mistake. Maybe I should try with something more casual... More personal... But, it's that really appropriated? I mean... I'm nowhere near the caliber of this people! Talking to them on such a pedestrian way could be interpreted as an abuse of confidence. Who's a rookie like me to address these important people in such a familiar tone?... But then again, I don't have any other ideas! I feel this might be my third-strike-you're-out! moment... But I've already wasted too much time! Here goes nothing..."

This thought only took her a tenth of second, but for her it was like an eternity... But having finished it, she took a deep breath, wiped-off some of the sweat in her forehead, and offered them a cordial waving gesture as she said:

-"H-H-Hello! I'm Celeste! Nice to meet you! I'll try my best in help everyone in any way I can! I hope we will become great comrades from now on."

And as she finished her sentence, something else happened, something surprising to her: Two of the men she have been addressing previously gave her a cordial and laid-back response to her terrible introduction. It seems her suspicion was correct: Despite their rough appearance, these men were great people! And even the man (finally an answer! the mystery was starting to make her slightly confused) in the powered armor seemed to be fine her despite her fumble. It seems she didn't ruined it after all. In that precise moment, Celeste felt like a great weight was being lifted from her shoulders.

-"Nice to meet you, too Mr. Gdolkin... Mr. Krueger... And Mr. Magnus. The pleasure is all mine.", after that she even left out a brief chuckle of relief... She wasn't nervous anymore.

Dan and Summer smirked a bit at Celeste's greeting as Nolan looked towards them whispering "Remind me to talk to you two later." Dan nodded in agreement.

Nolan then walked up next to Celeste and spoke up pointing to each pilot, "I suppose some introductions are in order. Dan and Summer this is George Gdolkin, Jack Krueger, Magnus V. O'Malley and Celeste D. Caballero. George, Jack, Magnus and Celeste this is Dan Sully and Summer Turing. From today on you will all be working together. The other new pilot Harvey Jackson is here but is in his quarters right now. Hopefully all of you will get along fine."

Magnus thought for a moment.

Hmmm.... How to Introduce? Hey writer, you have any ideas?

The writer looked directed to Magnus and said: "Wh-what? Hey, don't look at me! I'm even worse than her when it comes to introductions! I don't know... Just say hi to her!.. And don't do anything creepy nor look her in a lustful way! Or I'll turn you into poorly-written Shinji Ikari clone... With a silly hat!"

After Nolan finished his concise, but reassuring welcome, Celeste addressed to the whole group, this time with more confidence and a clearer voice.

-"I'm sure we'll all be! We're all working for the same goal after all! I'm so glad of having meet everyone of you, and I yearn to start working together in our future missions. I might not be a good pilot, but you know what they say: 'With courage, guile and hard work, even 1% can turn into 100%'!"

After that dissonantly enthusiastic display of emotion, Celeste thought to herself, "At least, that's what grandpa used to say...". However, after having finished her impromptu speech, her body language and disposition changed once again, this time looking far more serious, but slightly concerned... Anyone could see right-through her; after all, Celeste always was too sincere about her emotions... almost to a fault. She shifted her focus to Commander Briggs, and with a softer, more ominous sounding voice she said:

-"Commander Briggs, I apologize if I'm being rude right now, but there's something really important I have to discuss with you... Can we go to a secure place? A private place..."

After that, she stood there, looking to Nolan in a way that could only mean one thing: She was carrying bad news.
