So, the other night, Hopey told me to listen to the song "Garden State" by Senses Fail. Being a New Jersean, I did so, and then I decided to go onto SongMeanings and look up the song to see if people can explain if there's any further meaning behind it. Lo and behold, I saw this gem in there:
Anyway, the past couple days I've gone through a few more songs on the site and an idea occurred to me: An idea to make a series highlighting some of the strangest, dumbest, silliest, and all around most entertaining comments SongMeanings has to offer. Each episode would highlight one song (with some exceptions for special episodes) and a selection of comments that SongMeanings users have written about the song. Basically, think of it like "This Troper", except not as mean-spirited and more intended all in good fun.
But, to do this, I'll need your help. Yes, YOU! You can be a part of this! If you have a microphone and you're willing to lend your voice to this, all you need to do is read a comment (or more than just one, if you so choose) for the video and send me an audio recording of your reading. You can pick your own comment if you want (but if you do so, be sure you send me the permalink to it so I can screencap it), or I can send you one that I choose. Best submissions will be featured in the video. The funniest ones might get a prize (but they probably won't, since I can't afford to give anyone a prize).
So, all that said, anyone willing to be a part of this series? I'll want at least 5 people per episode (in which case, people would have to read multiple comments), but any more is perfectly acceptable and welcomed. If I've got enough volunteers by the end of the week, production shall begin.
