Oh sweet, I should check that out.
Also, Deep Dark Crater really is some hot bullshit. I know it's the final dungeon and all, but everything is so freaking cheap.
That was the bane of my existance in Mystery Dungeon Sky. The fact that you had to escort Cresselia even during the boss battle made it even cheaper.
I didn't seem to have too much problems with Cresselia. -shrug- She stuck to the path for the most part.
The only issues she gave me was how she'd always end up hovering over lava and ending up burned. Other than that, she keeps up about as well as most other guest partners (which is to say fairly unreliably, but still).
And on that note, Eevee in this game is best Glass Cannon.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyIts not that Creselia does stupid stuff, it's that she's in a dungeon full of supereffective Dark types that want a peice of her. And she's a waste of needed reviver seeds in the monster houses and multi boss battles.
Ah monster houses. Bane of my existence. I use my rarely used orbs then in hopes of an edge.
I remember stockpiling Petrify Orbs in storage for monster houses. You could literally fight every pokemon one at a time and get the good items with those.
So when's it come out again?
It was out Tuesday. Been browsing reactions since there isn't much critic responses. Needless to say, it's still a Tear Jerker. (Though everyone seems to agree that it's not as good as the Explorers plot) Story-wise at least.
I played the demo and I liked some improvements, (Moves are a button a way? Heck yes!) and disliked others. (Why is the screen so zoomed in on me!? I can't see far ahead! I can't plan!)

I played the demo a while ago, and the only thing that truly annoyed me was the lack of pokemon to get. Other than that, it played pretty well. Not sure I'm willing to shell out money for it though. And some of those Magnagates have some very annoying pokemon that kept dropping my attack power and accuracy. And it was kinda difficult to activate the gates in general. I think they should of put more time into this game and added more pokemon, unless they plan to release DLC packs with new pokemon models along with new dungeons. (not actually a bad idea)
I loved Explorers, don't think I'll be buying this one, though. Tough Act to Follow plus I've heard almost nothing positive about it except that it looks nicer and has some more button conveniences. The new features like team skills and AR features sound boring to me.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Yeah, that's kind off the same thoughts I'm having. Especally since I'm getting even more spoiled on the plot at it reminds me more of Rescue Team.
It's pretty great. Story-wise, no, of course it's not as good as the second game. But the story is probably better than that of the first, and the graphics aren't too shabby. Gameplay-wise, there's not much difference other than the whole Paradise thing. I will say one thing though: I miss having Meowth as a starter.
3DS FC: 1719-3694-1541I've never really liked Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, but I quite like Shiren The Wanderer.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.As I miss my Mudkip partner.
I'm still starting as a Pikachu after all these years. Oh man... I can't wait to recruit the legendary Poison-Steel type species named M!
Amazing discoveryWoah...There was no thread on this before recently? And barely any discussion...Hmm. :V
This is a relatively new thread; all the ones for the past entries are dead and nobody ever bothered to make one for Gates, so yeah.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyTried Gates. Just felt like a big disappointment to me as I played it.
Yeah, so I've heard...It has awful reviews. It's a shame, all the other games were great, and visually it looks awesome. :C
Critics don't like these games at all. Gates was probably better than the original Red and Blue, but it didn't come close to Time and Darkness.
3DS FC: 1719-3694-1541Can't remember the last time I played something so... condescending. I get it: it's for kids. But kids with the reading comprehension and patience to play these games can't be as dumb as the latest one assumes they are. Glad they put out a demo for the curious, though.
Pokemon Mystery dungeon, huh? If there was anything that cemented me down to become the fan I was, it was Red Rescue team. As my 2nd Pokemon game, I had never quite had a story like that at that time. The plot, the characters, and even the bosses hold a special place in my heart. (Articuno, How did you K.O us both if were both resist Powder-*sigh*)
I haven't played Sky, and I was considering buying Gates, so I'm personally searching for more opinions about gates. Mainly because I care about plot, which I have heard very little of in Gates.
Also this is the part where I mention this really awesome fan grou- *shot*

The catch all thread for all you rescuers and explorers out there that somehow find themselves turned into a Pokemon!
So, Gates To Infinity's demo is released. And boy am I gonna have to take some time to get used to the 3D game jump. And the fact that there is no personality quiz. -grump face-
