I was pleasantly surprised. From what Yahtzee told about himself on Let's Drown Out, I almost excepted him to completely clam up as soon as Dodger and Jessie start doing their thing.
But he actually interacted with them fairly well. I really hope they're inviting him back on at some point.
Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.Yeah, that's how I felt about the game too.
He's apparently not impressed with the Battlefield 1 story. He was providing live commentary on the Italian portion of the story earlier today on Twitter. The armor was heavily mocked XD
Guh. I remember playing the single-player in Battlefield 3. Miserable, miserable time.
Fanfiction I hate.Conversely, I remember having a decent time playing the single-player campaign to Battlefield 4, weird glitches in the prison level notwithstanding.
Yeah, in the Italian section of the story you play a guy that starts off wearing armor.
TB puts out a video that further explains his views on the single player campaign of Battlefield 1:
Holy crap... he brings up some huge points there. It's WW 1 not Wolfenstine New Order.
What's the point of doing a WW 1 game without actually doing a WW 1 game. They should have showed the silly shit and actually have it be silly like horse mounted charges into machine gun emplacements, failed tank ideas etc.
The only real overpowered thing you could do would have been a good machine gun emplacement during an offensive by the enemy.
As well as work in a unit over multiple years while constantly seeing men die and get replaced to the point where no original unit member was left then all the replacements die for the next set.
Listen in a trench while the friend you had been with the entire game is injured in no mans land screaming for help as you sit there huddled in the trench and such, the gun shot you eventually hear is a god send. It's fucking WW 1 the war that defined War Is Hell and the lone soldier never felt so powerless!

I do get his point
But at the same time, if I must be devil's advocate, this is a Battlefield game. Yeah, War Is Hell spending three weeks in a trench fighting dysentery is realistic, but that's not what people expect from a battlefield game. Especially when it's a franchise that's got such mainstream success. You CAN make an amazing game out of the hellhole WW 1 was, but it won't be Battlefield.
I'm not surprised this ended the way it did. Battlefield's never been about realism.

That's fine for multiplayer but a single player campaign should have been a different story, especially when earlier entries tried quite a bit to get it right up to a point.
TB chips in his two cents on Bethesda's recent review policy.
I wonder how long it'll last this time?
My advice for TB at this point:
Was this on the old Cynical Brit sub, or the new one?

1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die (all editions) progress: 426/1089 (39.12%)I see.
Apparently it was because of a fight he had with Gen over her choice of candidate (she voted for Johnson) and I guess there was backlash from the fanbase for him yelling at her.
Protest votes cost Clinton Florida, so there's that.
They live in North Carolina, which is exactly the worst place to do that.
I was bummed that I missed it on Twitch. This is a good podcast... and oh god that film TB looked at...
