To the contrary, there are several situations where visual puns are kept by admin fiat (or at least one: Flying Brick). They're totally acceptable.

Considering I see very little reason someone would confuse the image as something other than a Visual Pun, it doesn't harm the page.

So the current page image for Knight in Sour Armor is a visual pun. I don't have a suggestion right now, and I don't know if pun-based images are considered actively harmful to the page, but I for one would like to see it go (even if we don't come up with anything to replace it).
The history shows one previous image, which in turn was textbook JAFAAC: [1]◊. I see no earlier discussions about a page image.
