I've only begun to look into Warhammer's Space Marine setting (mainly for story/art ideas and whatnot). I know a couple of chapters, their training programs are briefly mentioned on The Spartan Way page.

Are there any books/sites you guys would recommend that go into the various training programs a little further?

You could always either go to the wiki or go to the Warhammer 40,000 thread on this section of the forum.

About the training itself, I'm not even sure their Codex mentions much. It does list the various organ grafts and their effects, but the training itself...

The training varies per chapter. Since they have different combat doctrines and what not.

Surely, he's not thinking...

That would be incredibly suicidal.

Don't be silly; I'm not THAT crazy.

It's just basically for a setting I'm working on for my gaming group. Basically, a semi-cyberpunk future setting, there's a team of heroes who are basically a PMC group. I thought occasionally, I'd include flashbacks to their training/bio-augmentation procedures.

What would be incredibly suicidal? Trying to become a Space Marine through training?

[up] I thought by the open nature of the question, that he was wanting to try the Space Marine training.

[up][up] Thank goodness you're not.
