A Mickey Mouse movie has been in and out of Development Hell for years, I hope this project gets it off the ground.
I don't think it'll ever get actually made (Disney would have to pull its head out its ass first), but you gotta credit Wolf with his drive to keep his creation relevant even when everything seems to tell him 'LOL HELL NO'.
Forget Mickey, let's get Donald Duck and Roger!! Then we could have the perfect Disney counterpart to the famous routine
Nah, Mickey's alright, I think this may be a good idea, but as Napoleon says, they'll have to really bend their mentalities.
I treat all living things equally. That is to say, I eat all living thingsThat's certainly an interesting idea, and I for one would be excited to see it if it gets made.
Now that I think of it, though, I'd just at least be happy if they just start using the classic Disney characters for non-kiddie things again. Maybe we'll even get some new shorts out of it, and that might spur WB to try to compete, thus ushering in a new age of theatrical animated shorts!
...It's probably just a pipe dream, but let me have this!

Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.Eh, I'm no big Roger Rabbit fan. The movie was OK to me but not mainly because of him. And Mickey is nice but not very interesting on his own.
Now, I'm not saying this cannot work; but it'd need a good story, and just saying that it's like the original "The Stooge" is not enough, I want more details before I make up my mind.
Gottfredson Comics?
I treat all living things equally. That is to say, I eat all living thingsThis is an interesting idea. Wolf's a rare case in that he actually seems to prefer the film Roger Rabbit to the novel, and he wrote the novel himself.
I want to see this happen.
my drawing blog ya'll UPDATES 10 TIMES A MONTH WOW, THIS IS STRAIGHT UP MUH SOGGY KNEEThe movie most likely put more money in his pockets than the novel ever did, so it should be no shock.
Actually, while I haven't read the book myself, the setting there is apparently... far less workable than the movie's. At least that's the impression I've gotten from the descriptions and the Tropes page.
Considering the book hasn't been in print for decades (HINT HINT, WOLF), I doubt many people these days have read it.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle."Hmm! I was never able to get a Roger Rabbit sequel underway for years! I know! Pair him up with Disney's most popular character of all time!!"
But Hanna Montana isn't in the movie!
No, then he'd be paired with Donald Duck.
Mickey being the straight man to Rodger could be interesting
http://s1.zetaboards.com/Conceptual_Evolution/ http://sagan4.com/forum/index.phpdisney characters being put in an oddly matched movie?
SHIT IT'S POOH'S ADVENTURES
Although at least with this they'd actually, you know, acknowledge each other.

Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatWasn't it Goofy's role to play the fool to Mickey's straight Man role? Or is that unacceptable now that he's a single parent?
Will Mickey's friends appear?
We don't really know much about the film to be honest. I don't think it's been green lighted either.
my drawing blog ya'll UPDATES 10 TIMES A MONTH WOW, THIS IS STRAIGHT UP MUH SOGGY KNEE- In the Disney offices -
"How come we keep getting so many pitches for a film starring Mickey Mouse?!"
"Maybe people really want to see him in a proper movie?"
"....... nah. He made a theatrical appearance in 1940! that's sure 'new' to me! Let's keep rejecting them all!"
all while snorting cocaine
my drawing blog ya'll UPDATES 10 TIMES A MONTH WOW, THIS IS STRAIGHT UP MUH SOGGY KNEEThe novel Who Censored Roger Rabbit is much, MUCH more cynical than Who Framed Roger Rabbit; the novel's okay for what it is, but the movie is that rare instance where the film is better than the book.
Wolf did actually write a (sort of) sequel with Who P-p-p-plugged Roger Rabbit. It uses the characterizations and situations established in the film, though. From what I understand, the notion of a sequel film has been floating around since the 90's, one idea being something like "Who Discovered Roger Rabbit" which was supposed to detail how he came to Hollywood. Seriously, though, while I'd like to see this materialize, given that no one's heard from Roger Rabbit in something like 20 years, I'm a bit doubtful it'll happen.
Wasn't there a Youtube video showing how a CGI Roger could interact with a person?

Oh my gosh, he's made the Jump to 3D!
However, I think this movie would be fantastic! Disney; please please please! Do it! It'll be a hit!
Basics here, update here. Essentially? Gary K Wolf, creator of Roger Rabbit is pitching a buddy comedy of similar premise to the Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis buddy picture 'The Stooge' to Disney, starring Mickey Mouse and Roger Rabbit. I for one am massively excited. Thoughts?
