I prefer the current. All the other characters in the background are white, which helps reinforce the "token" status.
I found something that shows the white vs non-white part◊ (only two races matter in Hollywood: white and not white) but it's fan art so we would need permission from the artist.
I don't think those are any better than the current. If you argue that there are only two races, while and not white, then they fit better on Like Goes with Like.
Check out my fanfiction!Token Minority Couple says that only two races matter in Hollywood: white and not white. Like Goes with Like is where blacks belong together (or Hispanics etc) because they're the same. They can overlap if the token character is given a character of the same race, but if we can't see the white parings then all we see is black with black because Like Goes with Like.
Fair enough. I still don't think any image with just a couple shows anything the current does. The mix-up of two races might be good, but then it needs to stronger show that they're token minorities, as it otherwise shows diversity.
Check out my fanfiction!I'm with nitrokitty.
The best part of the South Park example is that it denotes token, since there's other white characters in the background.
The P&F one? In a vacuum. Which also makes it tougher to tell that she's not white, either. Not impossible or even unlikely, but it is a consideration. But for all we know it's a predominantly black or Asian cast.
EDIT: I had never heard of Like Goes with Like before. Is that new?

Could this poster work?
[1]◊
Whenever I saw it, all I could think was "oh hey look at that one black couple way in the back".
I rather like that. If it doesn't get used it, it could probably go to Like Goes with Like.
But I like this better for this trope because it REALLY emphasizes the "Tokenness" of the couple, what with them being in the back. It really feels like the poster is basically saying "FINE, we'll have not-white people in the movie, but we don't have to like it, dammit." Goes well with the Unfortunate Implications of the page.
Going to need a better image, though. Maybe a bit clearer/cropped?

Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Good example, but way too far in the back.
Check out my fanfiction! My vote goes to the current.
I think Couples Retreat can work really well for Token Minority Couple for the same reason Larkmarn said. This poster is much more clear.◊ Even if the picture is made to be smaller, I think the couple in the back aren't quite as far so it would still be good.
Can anyone fix the picture so it fits better?
I can't have a discussion by myself and I do care about this. Shall we have a crowner to decide between the South Park picture and the Couples Retreat picture from post 13?
No opinion on any of these, including the current.

Clock is set.
I don't think any of the suggestions are better than the current. The poster is a good example, but they're still just too far in the back. Would it look weird to crop out the two couples on the sides to make it more obvious? Or the left?
Check out my fanfiction!See, I LOVE the fact they're in the back. Really sells the "Token" aspect of it. I think a caption lampshading it would help sell it quite well.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them. Now that you've made me think about it, that's a point in its favor. Still, I dunno that it's enough to make it better than the current.
Are we going to have a crowner?
I'd say a vertical poster would work better since it'd translate better to wiki size.
I haven't seen enough clearly positive response to the poster (3 clear yeas, with a corresponding # of s to mehs) to justify a crowner, but we can do one up if it gets some more yeas.

And since it didn't, and the clock's up, I suppose we can put this one to bed. No action is to be taken based on this thread.
The picture isn't bad for the page but it would be really good for Like Goes with Like because that is about blacks (or Asians, Hispanics etc) belonging together while this is about any minority couple even if they're a black and an Asian. For this we could use a black and an Asian◊ from Phineas And Ferb.
