We've got an official release date, my minions.
March 30th!
There is an Act of Infamy called Casa-Stank-Ugh. "They're planning on remaking a classic film - an idea so evil we simply had to get involved. Here's to a tasty profit-share!"

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Evil Genius 2 World Domination tutorial gameplay with dev commetary.
Haha, Maximillian can directly fight the forces of justice himself now instead of being helpless.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Wow I thought I'd never see this game.
Emma, turns out, is voiced by Bond. Samantha Bond.
For those unaware, she played Miss Moneypenny in the Pierce Brosnan era James Bond films. Major Casting Gag given that Emma is essentially "what if Moneypenny turned evil".

She's more "What if Dench's M turned evil"
What with her "teaching everything" to her Bond Analogue
Actually yeah lmao
I for some reason got Moneypenny and M confused XD
New video introducing the Henchmen mechanics and 4 starting henchmen
"The Computer": I.R.I.S: A robot lady dressed like Jackie Kennedy, from South America. She can link herself to the security system, summoning guards and scanning threats as she behaves as a 360 degree camera, and she can shield herself to regen.
"The Hacker" Janet Bombe: An aussie fangirl of the evil genius. She can hack stuff, and is more handson on as you can target her ability. Hack agents weapons to change their effects randomly. Scramble Evidence destroys evidence an investigator gathered. Despite her name, has no bombs, and isn't combat oriented.
"The Man with the Silver Gun": Eli Barracuda Jr: Son of the original, from the USA. He can use his silver tongue to damage the resolve of enemies and buffs Eli's stats. Or his silver revolver to damage them more literally. It has 6 shots.
"The Samurai": Jubei: Returning henchmen, from Japan, now an old man. In his old age Jubei's traded his Katana for a staff he uses to hold himself up. Has an activateable buff. Windwalk, his teleport, returns.

Those four plus Incendio, Full Metal Jackie, and the the Col. Blackheart successor makes seven confirmed henchmen.
I hope there's some sort of Matron successor, she was my favorite.

Working on cleaning up List of Shows That Need SummaryMan I was set on Maximillian for nostalgia purposes but now I'm not sure which of the four to choose. They all look great.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Seems like each genius favors/mirrors a type of minion (Red Ivan = Military, Emma = Social, Zalika = Science), while Maximillian's thing is income/money.
Neat tidbit I didn't know until now; the robot henchwoman, I.R.I.S., is actually your base's disembodied AI voice that notifies you of what's going on. The mission to "recruit" her as a henchwoman is instead a mission to acquire a physical body to upload her into.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Showing the exact bonuses each genius gets
Happy launch day!
And I am displeased to learn I cannot run it on Windows 7.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Oh motherfucker. There's a quest that, I guess, lets you recruit a henchman called "The Roboticist". Word of warning, it's gonna dry-fuck you up the ass twice in succession and throw a spanner in your works as a goodbye.
The Roboticist is a pink-suited Japanese weirdo with an egg-shaped helmet and goggles. First, you need to assault her factory, I had it located in Brazil, while fending off additional World Map tasks that would put you into trouble, like instant Heat increase or funds drain to the tune of 20 grand. Then, you have to assault three more of her bases - they show up on the map simultaneously and vary in the amount of resources needed, mainly intel, although specialized minions are needed too. Then, she sends two waves of five killer robots to raid your base. You need to kill the first wave and interrogate one robot from the second wave. The robots explode and set everything around on fire when killed, and they can take enough pounding it requires everyone you got whaling away at them. Finally, you need an upgraded Crime Network built in the area where her final base is. Which requires a lot of research, and, of course, money. I'm still stuck at that step because, go figure, trying to stop the first wave of killer robots killed all my minions. EVERY ONE OF THEM. EVERYONE!
Also, what the game doesn't tell you until it's too late, you need the Conference Table to heal your henchmen and restore their stats.

"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisWell, most Henchmen. Eli Jr. has an ability that restores his stats when he uses it.
The Inner Sanctum items outright say they restore your genius and henchmen's stats.
Incendio Burns down your entire casino as part of his mission. All of it gone. Coz you can't stick fire extinguishers to the casino wall so minions need to go in the base to get them
That said I am glad the game addresses issues I had with the original. Especially with controlling zones and guard locations instead of dealing with the clunky alarm system
I haven't been able to play due to my computer being in for repairs, but I'm curious. Is there an explanation for why Max looks the same but other characters have aged? Cryo-sleep?
