"Hit the Diamond" is still the gayest episode i've seen so far. Does anything quite top it?

I noticed Lapis slowly started to enjoy the game more as it went on, and i was amused by how crushed Peridot's pride seemed when it came out that they weren't even looking for her.

Last One Out of Beach City is even gayer.

Mostly because it has a character who is, ya know, explicitly LGBT.

I'm waiting on a Big Damn Kiss between S and Pearl to mark the completion of Pearl's Character Arc to show that she's more or less moved on.

I'm not so sure they can do that. Heck they can't directly say "I love you" from a same-sex character to another same-sex character. They dance around this to the point where there's no ambiguity whatsoever, but a kiss on the lips just ain't happening.

Takafumi Hori demonstrates one downside to contributing to the production of a show you like: suddenly getting a bunch of spoilers from future episodes without the proper dramatic buildup.

I've always been sort of confused by this. It's terminology I only started hearing a few years ago, so bear with me, as I just want to clear it up. Just because the Gems are sexless doesn't mean they're not still female, right? Because sex is determined by physical traits while gender isn't?

Regardless, I still think Pearl should have some kind of moment with S to show that Rose doesn't still dictate most of her life and mark the end of her Character Arc.

Yes, and gender is perceived/subjective. Some languages even base grammar around all nouns having genders, and so arbitrarily designate words for inanimate objects as masculine or feminine.

Pearl and S could definitely kiss onscreen. One of the characters in Clarence has two moms, and I'm pretty sure I've also seen a brief clip from a show on CN where two guys kiss while on a date (it may have been Clarence as well). Cartoon Network isn't standing in the way of it or anything.

As mentioned before, it was a case of Anywhere but Their Lips, just like Ruby kissing Sapphire's cheek/eye.

Hell, they're not even always that lenient. The Gumball episode "The Saint", which premiered January 2015, had a photo montage of a male character kissing numerous boys and girl, and a toilet, but cut the one photo where one of the other boys was enjoying it.

Yeah that's what I was getting at, anywhere but the lips is fine, but I doubt a full mouth-to-mouth.

They've also fashioned their bodies to resemble humans as closely as they can, so I imagine they do er...have something down there if they want to, though I imagine Pearl probably goes without most of the time because the organic sensations would gross her out.

I didn't even know Anywhere but Their Lips was a thing. Huh.

The only lip kisses we've had on the show I believe were of Greg and Rose, and Lars and Sadie.

It's because they are the male and female...couple.
