I could see Peridot in battle. A purely distraction-based fighter.

She'd open by tossing something. Nothing happens so the opponent would ignore it. As they closed in on Peridot, there'd be a massive noise as whatever she threw activated. They'd turn to it to see a burst of smoke coming from it. They'd quickly turn back from the distraction and three more smoke bombs would go off in front of them.

Completely lost, they'd almost miss the tap on the middle their back. The smoke would dissipate and Peridot would be standing ahead of them again, a nasty smile on her face. The opponent would begin their charge again, and the small explosive she'd stuck to their back would go off.

The last thing they'd hear was her snickering.

Or, she could just smash them using a giant freaking robot.

I really hope they fix the Peribot

She can rebuild him. She has the technology. She can make him better than he was before. Better, stronger, faster.

She could probably build a better one if she had more time than ten seconds and better parts than ancient airplane junk.

Ancient tech is the best kind of tech to build your inferior modern tech.

Actually now that I think about it, how did Pearl and Peridot manage to build awesome fighting robots out of useless Cessna bullcrap?

I saw the finale of that. It was really good just not something I'd fangirl out over. I got a little bit of the feels though.

Yeah, losing a great show sucks. It'll happen to SU too someday, but we'll have the comfort of knowing we'll be getting an ending too.

Uh huh, as long as it gets a great conclusion, it's not such a loss.

My only worry is that I'll never be able to sleep the night of the finale.

Seriously, I was up past 5 AM last night posting and reading about stuff and I like Steven Universe way more than Gravity Falls.

I know exactly what you mean. I don't know if I'll even be in a situation where I'll be able to see the finale when it airs, when it airs, but I might just wait until the next day. Though my current bedtime is 4AM anyway.

Nostalgia Critic vlog for "We Need to Talk" is up! They liked it. It just drove them to drink, but they liked it. Pearl is Rob's favorite, I'm really happy about that with all the hate she got after this episode just for being a li'l salty. They talk about Steven's half-gem, half-human identity, fusion being sex, and then go on a tangent about cultural integration, letting weebs be weebs, Engrish in anime and foreign movies and elitism in the various nerd communities.

So I know the Undertale and SU threads have lots of similar posters, but to anyone who doesn't know, there's this thing called Underswap where two related characters are swapped with each others' roles - the brothers, the girlfriends, the ex-married couple, etc. That got me thinking, what if there was a Steven Universe swap of a similar nature?

• Connie grows up with the Gems while Steven became her love interest when his dad settled in Beach City.
• Pearl was born in the Kindergarten while Amethyst was the Dragon to Rose Quartz.
• Garnet...would be the same, but Ruby is the aristocrat while Sapphire was the common soldier.

Other possibilities: Lars and Sadie, Rose Quartz and Jasper, Onion and Peedee. Just wondering how many things would change, or if it's even possible to realistically pull it off.
