We can only hope.
Either way, yeah, the only two games that really have anything going for the Xbox One is Killer Instinct 3(which has some serious backlash over the vaguely given introduction to it, although the outcry isn't as bad thanks to more information given, but it's not great either) and Halo 5. ...This isn't exactly the most promising exclusive-wise.
Ghosts is confirmed to be coming out for the Wii U.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite. The Xbox line still has the reputation as the FPS console. And considering that is still the most popular genre in the west right now...
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.Well, the PS 3 has outsold the 360 world-wide, so the shooter crowd and the American sales aren't quite the deciding factor people think it is (especially when the other consoles are getting a head-start in the countries the Xbox One won't be launching in). That, and most of the popular shooters can be found elsewhere; I'm basically saying they stand to lose that reputation on both fronts.
I'd say if anything, Microsoft getting a hold of that licence for exclusive FIFA content could be a massive issue for the competing consoles.

And still has policies which will not make it the most popular system. So no, not at all.
Also, that does not apply to the Xbox One, which is still coming out. That's just a huge stretch of how well it'll do. The PC is far more huge for FPS stuff as well.
Again, there is nothing point to the Xbox One being anything but last currently in the Console Wars. The only way they have a chance is removing the Kinect being on always and a price drop. The latter will eventually happen, but the former is still confirmed and is probably a permanent bit.
Also, the Xbox One requires an HDTV, while the others don't. That's a huge problem as many still don't have one, and they cost 500 minimum. So 1,000 dollars just to play the Xbox One, and required online just to start it... yeah, sorry, it's not going to go back beyond 3rd Place with every realistic factor in place.
At least it's really unlikely.
Well, that's news to me. When did the PS3 finally surpass the 360? And when will it surpass the Wii?
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.A little while ago. It's a small lead, but Sony is 2nd place (proving that even at their very best, Microsoft's consoles are only relevant in the west).
And no, the Wii will not be getting surpassed at the current rate.

Hey everyone, remember the Ouya? Is that a real concern at this point in time?
But that's a story for another time. Not according to the reviews. Check the actual thread for more info. It should be on the first page of this section.

Graci friend.
But that's a story for another time. The Ouya currently has a bad mix of the Freemium model's downsides and lack of customer information.
Regarding how well each console does, I'll just say that Nintendo survived the GC and Virtual Boy while Microsoft survived ME and Vista (not consoles but those are closer to MS'es core specialization) so we probably won't see either die for at least one more generation.
The Gamecube was actually really awesome.
It was still in third place.
It had SSBM.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Gamecube was actually the only console that served as both a gaming machine and a cube-shaped ball for kids to play with. That thing was freakin' durable as hell.
I think one of my friends once used it in place of a concrete block to keep his truck from rolling down a hill while the brakes were on the fritz.
But that's a story for another time.It doesn't really matter if the console was in third place or not.
There's a difference between being in third place and going down in flames, though.

I miss Nintendium. It seems the mines ran empty, seeing as the DS and the Wii both had problems with construction.
It's no secret that Nintendium is not really indestructible but that the durability of a Nintendium device is inversely proportional to the strength of its hardware. All of the brick gameboys were reverse engineered from feudal Japanese waffle irons.
The GCN may have been in third place, but the lead of the Xbox over it was pretty miniscule. And Nintendo was actually the most profitable of the Sixth Generation, so, duh, the survived the GCN.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.Microsoft: We're backpedaling! We're backpedaling! We're not filled with anticonsumer policies anymore!
Gamers:
Wow! You managed to discern the absolute consensus opinion of all "gamers"? That's impressive!
But that's a story for another time.Sales tend to be a decent measure of consumer consensus.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.
It might be released for the Wii U as well.
Anyway Ps4 then Wii U then Xbox One is my predicted outcome as well.

You look happy, I can change that if you want.
