Yup. Supposedly you have to hold down and press whatever you have mapped as the "C" button.
Moon◊Hmm, people are having loose definitions of tropes again. This game doesn't have bittersweet ending just because villain got away
Anyway, is there anywhere list of cutscenes that got cut out?
Just wanting to inform all of you that the Freedom Planet soundtrack is now available for $10. That is all.
So an important question:
Is the reason why Carol's motorcycle can go up vertical walls because its a ninja motorcycle?
This is observation I made based on motorcycle ninjas on Trap Hideout stage
Saw this game by random on Steam two weeks ago and then I deiced to have a look and then....I WAS ALREADY HOOKED!!
It's far from a Sonic clone but a nice Genre Throwback to 16/32-Bit Platformers that you probably see a lot on the Genesis/PS 1/Sega Saturn era toppled with it's Treasure-like feel. Gladly will pay if the sequel ever does be made.
Speaking which, we really need to fix Shout-Out's. And, what would like to see be added in the sequel?

Just being me.May I bump this thread to mention how amazing the music is?
The art style of this game kinda reminds me of Ristar.
I'm tempted to get the game, even at full price sans Steam Sales discounts.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls! This game is worth the price.
Especially the soundtrack, after playing the game I bought it on Bandcamp.
Is this a Jo Jo reference?Ah, this thread. Thanks for reminding me of this. I got it during the Steam Holiday sales (along with soundtrack of course), but haven't touched it thanks to getting plenty of other games along with it.
Isn't the soundtrack also up on Steam?
edit: Bought it. Will top my Steam Wallet up again later.
ONE DAY LATER: Lilac reminds me of Eastern Dragons, her scales are really smooth and reflective like a river Dragon's and her 'twin tails' are her Dragon's Whiskers. Interesting Fact: discarded Dragon's Whiskers make excellent spears, as FFV can attest.
TWO DAYS LATER: Now at: Fortune Street 1. The voice acting and SFX are really good :D

The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!Character Page Update: I've added more details concerning Lilac's species. It's not so Informed as she isn't a Western dragon, she's an Eastern Dragon.
Heck, she even has the same colour as a Shiny Dratini

The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!Would be nice to live in the world were westerners would never have started calling a unrelated eastern mythology spirit a "dragon" :p
I mean, seriously, long snakelike body, wood horns, rain spirit, whiskers, how is that dragon like besides reptile-ish stuff? Thats type of stuff that opens the definition of dragon so wide open that nowadays you can call virtually anything a dragon
It was a case of "Close enough"
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!Same reason we sometimes call yōkai "demons", when the latter has a notable negative connotation, whereas the former could go either way (IIRC).
Moon◊I'm considering getting the game soon, and as a Spoiler Hound I looked the ending and I noticed something. Do you know what a Gekirin is?
Only that it's some sort of wheel weapon in Kamen Rider, which I only learned just now from a cursory Google search of the term (since this is the first time I'm even seeing it).
Moon◊A Gekirin is a scale of an eastern dragon that is reversed and if touched, will cause the dragons to go on a rampage (it's the reason for their Beware the Nice Ones characterization). It's also an idiom for pissing of an emperor or another boss. this page will help clarify.

Thermal Base 1 reminds me of Metallic Madness with hints of Panic Puppet in it.

has a clue, but it's usually not the correct one 0.55% of the timeFor those who didn't know, slowbeef recently did a stream of this game on which all the voice actors and the creator of the game guested (and as such it also kind of turned into an impromptu Q&A between them and the chat). Here's the first part of that:

Insert witty 'n clever quip here.holy shit the cast of Freedom Planet are a bunch of nerds
You're surprised that the cast of a (former) Sonic fangame are a bunch of nerds?
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I was being facetious. And no.
Haven't tested myself, but there's a way to hear bloopers.
