Based on that description alone the skeletal ones don't bring up the idea of needing to be a sequel. The other one though, calling them ancient guardians sounds like they could be a plot moving species.
Yeah, like I said: definitely not the type you'd see in the small scale story I thought they were going to do. Unless the story will find a way to render everything irrelevant at the end and prevent everyone from knowing about said ancient guardians.
...Should have thrown in an "I should go" at the end.

Not bad. I prefer him on the Irrelevant Show, I actually used to work with one of the writers on that show.
Agreed.
I still say Mark Meer should have been the model for default male Shep's face.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Mark Meer◊ does look good as Shepard.

Wow, he certainly does.
Can we get a Jennifer Hale version of that?
He can't be the face of Shepard, his hair makes him look different from every other Space Marine. Oh wait, I'm just insane/a marketing executive.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the Greatx2 Sadly I don't think Jennifer Hale has time for that sort of stuff. She's a much bigger name than Meer.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Maybe they can have Mark Meer be the default face model for the new PC. It'd be a great nod to the previous games and if they're making an entirely new character who isn't just a space marine, Mark Meer would be a great choice for a new look. More grizzled and traveled then Commander Shepard's inhumanly handsome face.
Stand Fast, Stand Strong, Stand TogetherI don't really care who the default model is, since I don't use it. Just take one of the pre-set faces, modify it a bit, change the hair and eyes, and I'm good to go.
...x4 I'm also pretty sure that Jennifer Hale isn't a gamer, while Mark Meer is, and he's played all the ME games.
Bioware's actually revealing info on the next Mass Effect. These guys are livetweeting it right now. Summary:
- Tentative release date is 2015.
- It will run on the Frostbite engine (I think that this is old news)
- There are sample screenshots of the (helmeted) protagonist wearing N7 armor. Screenshot.
- The Mako is back and is much faster now. Screenshot.
- You can choose genders. (Not really a surprise, but confirmation is always nice).
- No word on whether you can choose your race.
- Shepard is not the player character (again, old news but still good to hear.)
- Old characters might show up.

"It's not called ME 4, damn it!"
Frostbite is good news, that's a sexy engine.
I'm wondering how older characters are coming back? Like what's the timeframe for the game here?
Oh really when?I'd think that they would notice it if you could choose races, unless character creation thing was really limited in demo or if Bioware has told them that is a secret or something

What has Frostbite been used in?
Battlefield 4. Dragon Age Inquisition will be using it, as well.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Everything AAA game by EA in the last 2 years or so, they apparently have a policy to use it in all upcomming games. They even wanted to do the new C&C in it but then it got cancled ( as an alpha tester I can tell u forcing an RTS in a FPS engine is not worth it).
Even if one of those were the Inusannon... that sounds like sequel material, not something that you'd have happening parralel to the main story that no one ever hears about. Then again Bioware shoved the creators of the Reapers into a DLC, so anything's possible I guess. But then, the skeletal species sounds like the Raloi while the other one sounds like golems, without the face tentacles the Inusannon had.
