[up] Yes you do. I am not sure if choosing the more amoral options will have any effect on their performance though.

Well, everybody keeps whining about Fallout 4 "doesn't allow you to be total asshole", but when the chance present on itself, nobody actually does it.

Talk about hypocrites. In a good way.cool

[up]While that is true, having the choice is valuable in itself.

You can't really be an ass in F4 because there's no "evil" faction per say. There's no "Caesar's Legion" to join, for example.

You don't need one to be evil though. Furthermore, saying there aren't any evil factions is dependent on personally interpreting some of them as not evil.

And done with the Vault Tec DLC.

I still cannot for the life of me get more than 1 floor right. Also Clem is best guinea pig and Ted best researcher.

Same as always. You just get a bunch of new items to build with and a HUGE new underground cavern to do it with.

Wow I did not know that. I saw the thing, I knew it was some kinda water purification machine, but I thought it was just a background prop. Didn't know you could power it.

Any other special buildings in the Vault (besides the mandatory quest related ones)?

Also I can't get any of my V88 settlers to equip the pip-boys I give them beyond the initial 3 you get in the quest. That normal?

Man, trying to build a Vault is a pain in the ass. I'm just gonna use the underground space to build a normal city instead, only underground.

Nothing seems to snap together like I want it to. Like I know they're supposed to go together, but something that shouldn't be a problem is in the way. Also my Atrium looks like ass. It's a giant, four story-tall box with rooms and halls attached.

Another thing: the object limit is pathetically small. I understand why its there, but why give us so much space if we can't use it?

Also, there should be Vault-style trading stands.

I play on PS 4, so I can get anything like that. At least not yet.

I have absolutely zero idea who to side with :(

  • Brotherhood of Steel: I can't stand the Bo S; I'm not going to side with them. They're single-minded, paranoid, and ultimately xenophobic towards anyone not purely human. Considering how Nick Valentine is my favorite character, there's not a chance in hell I'm joining them. They're only going to hurt the Commonwealth in the grand scheme of things.

  • The Institute: With the buildup of everything, I was honestly expecting them to be a bunch of mustache twirling scientists who were all "clearly what we're doing is for the greater good, but it's not a surprise that your tiny mind can't understand it what with your feeble concepts of morality and such," but I was very wrong. A lot of the scientists at the Institute are genuinely nice people who want to do good, looking for the best way to save humanity in the long run. My character put everything into finding his son, so now that I know Shaun is the leader of the Institute it makes betraying him that much more daunting; it doesn't seem like something he would do. He took the words at the end of "Hi, Honey!" to heart, the part that goes "everything we do, we do for family" (paraphrasing). It makes it so much harder.

  • The Railroad: Much like the Institute, I was really happy with how nice everyone at the Railroad is. Deacon is cool, and he instantly won approval from me with the way he vouched for my character upon killing a Courser, not to mention he's just a cool dude. Desdemona is hardheaded, but she cares about every single member of the Railroad and the synths they're trying to protect. It's something I can sympathize with. I don't want to betray what sparse trust they placed in me, especially since I think their cause is a noble one. But they also think so short-sightedly that I fear working with them to destroy the Institute would only damage the Commonwealth in the long run.

  • The Minutemen: "Another settlement needs our help. I'll mark it on your map." Doubtful that I'll side with them in their entirety, but maybe as an asset to one of the two above. It's not that I dislike them or think they'd be bad for the Commonwealth, it's just I can't find any compelling reason to side with them.

Not with those assholes blowing up half the city to take out the Institute it isn't. Fuck Preston Garvey, he's the reason I'm rolling Institute full bore when I can be bothered playing again, which should be when the last DLC is out and has been bug fixed by the fans as per usual.

I've been working out the faction choices for the next few characters I'm gonna play. Since I'm waiting out to get the last of the DL Cs and also finding mods to download, I have a bit of time on my hands.

So far, I've figured out that my first character is gonna be a raider type who works with automatrons as companions. Largely evil, because they ultimately join the Institute at the end, while using the Railroad and Bo S for their resources, but somewhat morally gray as they lead the Minutemen as a means to support their personal raider empire.

Gonna be fun times.
