You know for the next Fallout, I hope Terrifying Presence makes a return and buffed up to make the player truly terrifying.
The speech parts remain but perhaps it could also add a little combat capability. For example killing a humanoid enemy who is in close proximity to his or her allies would make them lose their cool resulting in reduced accuracy and damage. Kill enough of them and some just might prefer to commit suicide.
That sounds pretty cool, but I'm not sure Bethesda AI algorithms are entirely capable. I mean, they probably are, but remember this is the company that had made Oblivion, and we all know how 'wonderful' that game's AI was.
On another note, if those scripts were actually made by Bethesda for Fallout 4, I hope they change quite a bit. It doesn't seem to support any role playing at all, nor does it sound like something I'd really be engaged in.

Well, given that there are Skyrim mods that do something similar (knock an enemy low on health, it gets slapped with a fear spell and runs for it), I don't see how that's out of the question.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)Hopefully, but I'm worried that if they did do it that they'd make it really stupid looking and useless.

On the topic of playing the original Fallout, it's pretty fun once you get used to the (pretty fun) turn based combat and how slow the fast travel is.

To be completely honest, I've never been able to get very far in Fallout 1. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I just... can't seem to survive.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinairei personally hate fallout 1 and 2's battle system.
however, i prefer 1 to 2, even though exploration and quest doing is the key to my enjoyment in both games, and the first game is more limited in that front.
perhaps because i have more direction in 1.
Personally, I enjoy the battle system in the first two games. It's more fun to play then to think about, though. At its core it's a watered down XCOM combat system.
Perhaps you've picked a trait that makes combat harder? (Most of the traits in the first two game are at best useless, and at worse a detriment to the game)

One thing that irks me about the battle system from Fallout 1 is that if I've harmed someone enough that they flee, the game forces me into combat whenever I go near that person, only for them to flee again. It's frustrating and can slow down movement.
this place needs me hereYou know, I'd like VATS to be fleshed out so it's a full turn-based system. And make it you have the option of turning real-time battles off. I forgot how much I enjoy that.
VATS is handy, I suppose, but I haven't really used it for a couple of years. Iron sights and scopes removes the need for it if you use bullet-chuckers, and Shotgun Surgeon removes the need for it for, well, shotguns I suppose. Slugs (modified with this mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/46782/? which gives them the damage potential they would have if they were real) plus the extra 10 points of Damage Threshold reduction that Shotgun Surgeon gives you really works on Deathclaws and Giant Radscorpions.
VATS is handy because it gives you several free attacks at once, which always go first, and you don't have to aim. You barely take damage either, but that doesn't matter much because they can't really attack back anyways.
I mean, it's kinda broken, even though I love the cinematic kills. But it definitely helps for group kills.
Really, they should make it a genuine turn-based system, like it was in Fallout 1 and 2. Optional though.
Personally I hope they replace VATS with some sort of Bullet Time system. Like I did for my own personal use.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."VATS was an interesting idea that got kind of old after you had to sit through every slow motion kill. Cinematic slow motion kills should be reserved for critical hits, not every time you use VATS. You can turn the cinematic kills off in the main menu, though.
I don't know, the cinematic kills never got boring for me.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.I've never had a problem with them either.
(V)(;,,;)(V)Same here. I must be easy to please.
And Vats was balanced in FNV since you can get killed in VATS and not blow have yourself up blow yourself up with a MIRV(hello FO 3). It is a bit antiquated with Iron Sights being a thing(even though they aren't that good lol)

youtube.com/Fire Trainer 92Please, no more hoaxes, my poor heart can't take it.
Oh really when?I'm betting on Skyrim for PS 4 and Xbone if it's real.
That's Fallout font though. Probably not Skyrim related.
I'm not sure if they mean Dec 1 or Jan 12. Wasn't the mix up between the date formats one of the flags for skepticism for the survivor site?
That's why I'm thinking it's a hoax.
(V)(;,,;)(V)Well, Bethesda is based in Maryland, if I recall right, so I can't imagine they'd use the European styling; and if it was supposed to be December 1st, then why put out a teaser nearly a full year beforehand? It's not like that's the release date of the game.
It's been fun.
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu.........
Oh well.
