You forgot the Cryolator, Junk Jet, Broadsider, and Flamer.

Just Missile Launchers and Fatmen for the purposes of NPC ammo.

Every thing else runs forever.

So, to reiterate a question and to be sure, do Freezing weapons only do their energy damage on critical hits, or do they do the energy damage at all times? I know they only freeze on crits, but I don't really care about that part, just the damage.

Is it true that companions don't use ammo for a weapon if that weapon is chambered in the same ammo as their base weapon?

Like Nick won't go through .45?

I wanna know so I can give them upgraded versions of their base weapons.

[up][up] pretty sure damage applies all the time, it's just the freezing that procs on a crit.

[up] not true; I gave Curie Danse Danse Rev and she uses it just fine.

Do I want the full auto combat rifle that does bleeding damage or explosive damage?

On the one hand, ridiculous stacked full auto bleed damage. But on the other hand explosions.

This is so hard.

I just realized something:

My Fallout Character has a gun which freezes things. And a deceased wife named Nora. And a history involving cryogenics.

My God, my player character is a Good Counterpart to Mr. Freeze!

[up] Imagine the amount of chowder you could make off of one mirelurk.

Still, I imagine it'd be pretty difficult to transport milk. Is brahmin milk identical to cow milk? Perhaps the mutations made it taste oddly different? Additionally, chowders are usually made with clam, not crab, but there is such a thing as crab chowder. Finally, you need stuff like onions to flavor the soup. You could try replacing the potatos in the dish with tatos, but I don't think there's an onion equivalent in the wasteland.

Sorry, got a little carried away there. Can you tell I'm hungry? tongue

We should ask Bethesda to add Mirelurk Chowdah via DLC.

Also, this dude gave a tutorial as to how to rebuild the broken walls at the Castle. Man deserves... what do we give YouTubers? Likes? Views? Beard Dirt?

@Ra: It's not like most wastelanders could tell the difference, and I think the game demonstrates well that post-War denizens will eat pretty much anything.

I retook the Castle, patched the walls, built a rear entry into one of the patches, set up an alarm system and a couple of turrets to keep watch.

No, I tried anti NPC building.

They just spawn up there some how....

You can only get your stuff back after. :/

Eh, I'd fill in the gaps in the Castle, but it seems like a more efficient use of my ridiculously arbitrary building "space" (remove building caps plx, Bethsoft) just put up a few defenses, particularly around the front and back entrances and stuff a guard post in each opening.

Also, managed to upgrade Hangman's Alley to two cannons, which should give pretty decent artillery support over a pretty substantial area that looks difficult to support with other settlements.

I just lined Missile Turrets all around the Castle in my game. Should anything attack my Castle, EXPLOSIONS EVERYWHERE.

I did that too, insofar as my oil allowed, and filled in a few deficiencies with heavy laser turrets and the three free laser turrets. The two entrances that are land-accessible are ridiculous killing zones, though I admit that the side gaps are much less defended, but then again, who would even get past the kill zone to get to those? It's not like the raiders and super mutants have a protagonist on their side.

Yeah, the two entrances have so many missile and heavy laser turrets facing them I'd be surprised if anything manages to even sneak through.

Which mostly just makes bone almost as precious as oil itself.

A vegetable-based oil would be nice because then you could grow all the parts.
