I'm really hoping the PC being a goddamn android isn't the case.
In all honesty if there's an synth faction I will wage war on them on sight.
There certainly seem to be some kind of "wild" android NPC's according to the gameplay demonstration.
"I have no fear, for fear is the little death that kills me over and over. Without fear, I die but once."Now now, let's not start this whole thing again.
Oh really when?Oh it's already started.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!We're just drawing up the battle lines for the Fallout MMO. "Synths vs Skins."

"I have no fear, for fear is the little death that kills me over and over. Without fear, I die but once."I'm going for secret option 3 where I just sift through someone's blown up office building for scraps and doo dads.
Oh really when?I was just making a one-off comment while formulating a post about how utterly bush-league Umbrella's (of Resident Evil) approach to viral research protocols.
Eh, if I play this and find out my character's an android, I'm going to shrug and go back to romancing the humans anyway. With the added knowledge that if I go for some strange and chase ghouls or super mutants, I can't get sick or anything.
Hell, if Michael Dorn does a voice in this one too, I might romance his character just to make jokes about Klingon sex. Because, you know, he usually plays super mutants who are big enough to kill you without breaking a sweat.
... I don't think you get sick just from fucking super mutants or ghouls.

"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."I dunno, like maybe the glowing ones. What with actively emitting radiation and all.
Oh really when?This is true.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Wonder what speech Ron Perlman will give this time around.
I wasn't around when they were doing promotion for F3, did they talk as much about who the PC was? I wonder how they handled it, and how they'll handle it this time. It seems like there'd be less for Ron to exposit this time given what we already know about the Sole Survivor.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!"War, war never changes... Or does it? War has changed, get it? The answer is no, unless it is yes... no of course it is.Yes. No. Yes?"
Unfortunately for them, that tagline was false from the first game on. The nuke wiped out the probability of a protracted, all-in war and replaced it with minor proxy wars where two superpowers use the squabbles of small countries as an opening to expand the land that supports their ideology.
War used to be the engine for human development. We'd learn to make better armor, or to go sideways and make whole new systems. Now . . . it no longer works the same way. It can guide our development, but computer technology is the real engine now. We don't actually need war to push us forward. We just need enough computers and research materials at hand to answer whatever questions we have. We just need to know what questions to ask, which is what scientists do. They learn the questions and use computers to find the answers.
I think you're missing the meaning of the tagline buuuuut...
Is using "Julian Assange is a Hillary butt plug" an acceptable signature quote?Human nature doesn't change because what people think of as "human nature" is a myth. Real human nature? It's a river that floods its banks every chance it gets. Whatever's possible, there will be people who do it. And every time someone does, it wears down those banks just a tiny bit more. Even the stuff on the periphery everyone hates. We don't want to think of those people as human, but they still are whether we like it or not.
ETA: Why, yes. I AM in a philosophical mood today.

You know, playing Fallout Shelter, I realise how much of a true Fallout game it is. It crashes every so often, and the HP/name displays often bug out, as does the pop-up menu.
Check out my fanfiction! That tagline's always struck me as "the reasons for war and in-fighting still haven't changed" more then "well shit, we're still clubbing each other with sticks and beating each other to death with big rocks! War never changes, does it?"
Yeah, if you want to be a dick about it, Pre-War stuff had a lot more finesse and polish. In the big debate, David Hayter's right and Ron Perlman's wrong, war has changed immensely, the people, the technology-
The frame rates. The mobility. The aspect ratio.
But. The crashes and freezes haven't changed, have they?

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I wonder if Fallout 4 is going to have some dumb memory leak or other critical performance issue on launch that never gets fixed. Wonder if that never changes.
yeyBugs....Bugs never change.......
In 1997, the Fallout series was born with the theme of nuclear fire and exploration. But like all exploration, there were things that were rough around the edges. With bugs, script errors, and many more oddities in the wastes.
In October 28, in the year 2008, the extremity of the bugs in Fallout could sustain itself no longer, with players sinking under that one road near Minefield. After this bugginess, people assumed they would be used to it, but bugs....bugs never change....
You are a player, who has just returned from the most optimistic E3 in recent memory, and have just picked up Fallout 4 from a store and have put it in. However, your journey has just taken a turn, for the worst.....
We Wear the Mask that grins and lies, it hides our cheeks, is shades our eyes.Maybe not that one but, it's a Bethesda game, it can't not be riddles with bugs on launch.
The game's been built on a very highly modified version of the ancient Gamebryo engine, now called the Creation Engine by Bethesda since Skyrim, so, yeah. It's going to crash. Very badly. And a lot of those crashes will be irrecoverable.
That comment's brilliant. I just read it all in Ron Perlman's voice. Nice one.

On PS 4 at least XD
We Wear the Mask that grins and lies, it hides our cheeks, is shades our eyes. Why in God's name doesn't Bethesda move on from Gamebryo? I heard something about how all the modern Call of Duty games use an updated version of the Quake 3 engine, is it the same case here?
yey
The best possible ending for Android Sole Survivor.
