Nice to see Hal and Barry (and J'onn, of course) getting an arc all to themselves for once - they've been mostly comic relief so far. And yeah, Bigfoot's probably Grodd, though he could also be the Shaggy Man or - for extra hilarity - Monsieur Mallah + Brain.
Speaking of which, I would love the Doom Patrol as a group of oddball kids and loners who are friendly but have their own clique. Maybe from another school, at that, just to highlight the weirdness.
I'm also wondering if this series is going to either adapt in some way or simply lampoon the Parallax bit at some point. It might be really interesting, though I can't see any way of doing it seriously (as apposed to a parody like the costume bit) without it being heartbreakingly depressing.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Parallax is a super-violent new video game that all the "cool kids" are playing, and it causes Hal to fall in with a bad crowd. He gets into a fight with the gang and gets suspended for a few weeks, and then new kid in school Kyle Rayner shows up and etcetera.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!I just noticed that Sinestro's ring is on the wrong hand.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!Because even at eight years old, as a bunch of kids having fun on a camping trip, there is no diminishing the badassery that is the Green Lantern oath.

Wow. Nice use of Kirby Dots in that strip.
Hey David, glad to see you back here! Boy, I love this comic.

John is a black lantern, and Barry is Blue. heh that's a neat reference to blackest night.
Looks like Sinestro is primed to go form his own yellow lantern troop now.
Seems like Sinestro had a bit of an art update. In 169 he looked more like a human. Here he's got the pointed ears and his skin is slightly closer to the original.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! That's why I thought it was Kyle at first.
http://limbero.org/jl8/176 Sinestro joins the Big Foot hunt.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! That look of utter dislike in Panel 9...
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. What's up with J'onn's face in the fourth panel?
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Talking to girls. I hear it's more difficult than it sounds.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!I just read all of this in one evening. It's great fun.

You know, for all that he's supposed to be seen as the jerk here, Sinestro does have a good point. If this were being portrayed with a slightly different intention in mind, Hal might even be the one seen as in the wrong - while the message we're getting here is "J'onn is exceptional and the universe is full of wonder" vs "J'onn isn't special and the universe is as a whole unimpressive," you can also get a "treating J'onn as a museum piece" vs "treating J'onn like any other kid" issue out of it too.
It still might, actually. This comic does often do varied messages like that, after all.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Knowing Sinestro, it's probably more "J'onn is an insignificant worm compared to my magnificent self and Jordan needs to check himself before he wrecks himself."
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!Do they not know that Sinestro is an alien? Or that Green Lanterns are space cops?
The Green Lanterns are space cops in the source material. Here they're Brand X Boy Scouts.
Idunno what the deal is with Sinestro. He's got pointed ears and possibly non-human skin coloring.
Well, they're friends with an Amazon princess. Maybe they think he's an elf or something?

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! For those not on Facebook:
Well shit. I don't think he did anything wrong, but it sounds like its more like he's also has some personal problems going on.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.apparently he sent dick pics to people. what people is never sad but apparently they exist. also someone called him out on his charity pics
I was torn previously about whether or not that was supposed to be Kyle or Sinestro. I sort of figured he'd draw Sinestro as the alien he is since J'onn was kept an alien.
