All right, here goes nothing:

Name: Joseph

Age: 15

Gender: Male.

Appearance: On the shorter side. Blonde hair, wears glasses.

Ties to organizations: None.

Region of Origin: Unova, near Striation City.

Backstory: Joseph grew up near Striation City. He's long admired Pokemon, but only started catching his a year ago or so. He wants to challenge the gyms, but first he wants to earn the trust and loyalty of his adored Pokemon.

Starter: Oshawott, but she mostly stays about the house.

Pokemon:

1. Species: Lilligant.

Nickname: Scarlett.

Gender: Female.

Ability: Own Tempo.

Personality: Scarlett only recently evolved into a Lilligant, and she likes her new self. She's mostly energetic and silly, but if she's upset, it will take a lot to get her out of her funk.

2. Species: Roserade.

Nickname: Nightshade.

Gender: Female.

Ability: Natural Cure.

Personality: Nightshade is very mischievous. She likes messing with the other Pokemon in the party, especially Scarlett. She would never harm another Pokemon in the party, though, and is fiercely protective of both them and Joseph.

3. Species: Chandelure.

Nickname: Lady Black (Lady for short).

Gender: Female.

Ability: Flame Body.

Personality: Lady evolved at the same time Scarlett did (Joseph got their stones at the same time). She looks sinister, but she's the most kindhearted and gentle of the bunch.

4. Species: Milotic.

Nickname: Florence

Gender: Female.

Ability: Marvel Scale.

Personality: After all the time and effort Joseph put in to get her as a Feebas and evolve her, it was worth it. Florence is a mainstay on his team. She is calm enough to be almost inscrutable, but the fact that Nightshade almost never teases her shows how respected she is.

5. Species: Lucario.

Nickname: Phoenix.

Gender: Male

Ability: Justified

Personality: For such a tough-looking mon, Phoenix is rather quiet and polite. He mostly works with Lady to keep the rest of the party in line.

6. Species: Gothitelle.

Nickname: Margaret.

Gender: Female.

Ability: Shadow Tag.

Personality: Margaret is the resident Smart Guy (Girl) of the group. While Lady and Phoenix usually try and control the others, Margaret is content just to let them make fools of themselves. That said, she still cares for them quite a lot.

That looks good, but from looking at it, it doesn't appear you've done everything on the sign up sheet. It appears that you still need to read Every's essay(link in the first post).

There's a keyword in it that lets us know that you really read it, since we've had problems woth people not reading it in the past.

There is a very clear instruction in the essay telling you to include a key word/phrase with your sign-up. We can't tell you the key word without defeating the purpose.

Seeing as how this is the second time we've had this issue, I think we may need to rework the way the code phrase is integrated into the essay.

• Brief description of his/her appearance: Has blond hair, green eyes, and always wears green. Is quite skinny.

• Any ties to an organization: None.

• Region of origin: Cianwood City, Johto.

• Backstory: He started his journey with his first Pokémon, Fajro, a Cyndaquil, and intended to get gym badges from every region. After getting six of the Johto badges, however, Fajro (then a Quilava) was stolen from him. His new goal was to find Fajro, however long it would take.

• Ability: Blaze.

• Personality/Bio: Shy and caring. Was stolen, and is Zeal's primary motivation.

• Species: Sneasel.

• Personality/Bio: Quite lazy and easily tricked. Very easily loses control when afraid.

Yours looks good too. Though, did you actually read the essay, or just copy it from I Love Dogs?

Anyway, I can probably run both of your test battles, just as long as you don't get confused.

How do we go about test battling?

I read the essay, and a couple more pages on that wiki. And that'd probably be fine.

I post a situation that your character has to deal with. Shouldn't be too hard.

You find a Tauros rampaging through your neighborhood. Find a way to subdue it.

You stumble upon a Manectric den. The Manectric that was sleeping in it wakes up, and gets angry at you, seeing you as an intruder.

That's fine, but it might confuse some people. We usually use <> for that. Also, you typically aren't able to understand your mons, with the exception of them being telepathic as a Ghost or Psychic type.

Okay, so no communication outside of Ghost or Psychic types. Got it. I'm still probably going to italicize, though.

Scarlett releases the Sleep Powder from her flower.

Yeah, some characters can speak monese, but that's only because they were raised by Pokemon. Your character will get the ability to understand mons eventually.

ILD's situation

-The Tauros slows down, the Sleep Powder flying past him, and attempts a Take Down on Scarlett-

Oh, this is bad...

You should probably say whether or not the Take Down connected.

ILD's test

-The Tauros just gets angrier from the attack doing nothing. He attempts to use Payback by attempting to gouge her with his horna-
