Um what Corvus said, i figured he'd be in a troublesome situation when she found him and thought Flare would be good for that >_<
Who is this Umbramatic you speak of? Tis just me, a talking sock. That doesn't really explain why he couldn't have been roped in against his will. Unless your issue is that she wouldn't immediately trust him upon seeing the Flare/Magma uniform, even if he is her brother?
Tastes better on the way back down. The money is the problem though
Who is this Umbramatic you speak of? Tis just me, a talking sock. Not to sound like a shameless self-promoter here, but while the money issue is valid regarding Flare, Neo-Magma aren't nearly as choosy. Heck, they barely have money in the first place.
Tastes better on the way back down.Gonna mention here that the signup OP has been updated to note that Pokésona is off-limits to anyone who isn't involved already.

Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.Uill: If you're talking about the branch of Neo-Magma you usually write for, I already brought it up via PM and since, IIRC, it only collapsed recently, and I think Faikara wants the troublesome situation to have occurred a few years ago. If you meant a different branch that does meet that requirement or I'm wrong on any of that, please correct me.
And, correct me if I'm wrong on any of this Faikara, but I don't think the problem is 'he doesn't have the money to join Flare' as much as 'that would mean he'd have to join Flare willingly.'

Tastes better on the way back down.At Umbra's suggestion, since this has gone on for a while for a signup that doesn't really have any problems besides this... I'd suggest you just leave the incident itself vague and wing it. By my understanding it doesn't matter too much what the incident itself is, just that your PC is now looking for her brother? Your signup would probably be fine for the test now if you'd keep it vague, if you can't decide. I'm fine helping you work out something if you get a better idea of what you want with the incident itself and I think everyone else would be too, but if you just want to do your test now and leave the details for later, I'm fine with doing that.

Name: Officer Jack "Tex" Barrister
Age: 29-33
Gender: Male
Ethnicity: White, speaks with a thick Texas drawl.
Appearance: Wears a black military hat, jeans, black T-shirt, blue-and-navy jacket, sunglasses, combat boots, and a black Xtransceiver. Short, black hair, light stubble. Main method of transportation is a black motorcycle. Usually carries a guitar and a backpack, and conceals handcuffs and a telescopic baton in his jacket. Never forgets to bring a canteen or a first aid kit.
Organizational Ties: International Police Officer
Region: Phenac City, Orre. Currently assigned to Sinnoh, but this is subject to change.
Backstory: Young Tex Barrister was a bright kid, and was studying to be a scientist of evolution, but his interests changed as soon as he went on a ride-along with his father, Detective John Barrister. It was then when he decided that police work was for him, seeing his father serving piping hot hot justice. He graduated from the police academy at the age of 23. He was about to receive his first assignment, when he heard the news. His father had been killed in action. That day, he vowed to find the perpetrator and serve him piping hot justice just like his father would have. In the present, he is a soft-spoken, amiable, big-hearted man with a love for fishing, boxing, Pokemon battling, his mother (to whom he sends money regularly) and JUSTICE, and as a result of his studying as a scientist-to-be, he's very well educated and has a wide vocabulary. But beware, if you are a criminal, a jerk, or a Kalosian, he will make you cry.
Pokemon:
Species: Typhlosion
Nickname: Ember
Gender: Female
Ability: Flash Fire
Bio: Tex's starter Pokemon. She is friendly and optimistic, but overconfident in her abilities. She started her journey with Tex as a Cyndaquil, but they didn't respect each other until a certain incident when Tex was a Cadet and Ember was a Quilava. Basically, Tex was being held at knifepoint by an accomplice of a crime lord he was attempting to track down, and Ember saved him while horribly disfiguring the accomplice, who is currently in prison.
Species: Arcanine
Nickname: Scout
Gender: Male
Ability: Intimidate
Bio: John Barrister's partner and family pet. Wise, but a really chill dude with a healthy sense of humor. Runs and hits like a freight train. Or at least he used to, but his age is starting to show. A sort of mentor figure to Ember, and the one that stops Johnny from doing stupid things. Essentially, the only sane 'mon.
Species: Metagross (shiny)
Nickname: Bulldozer
Gender: None (masculine personality)
Ability: Clear Body
Bio: Given to Tex as a gift by another member of his department when he was still a Beldum. He is Tex's heaviest hitter, and he knows it. He strikes with absolutely savage brutality, but his manual dexterity leaves a lot to be desired. He almost always speaks in the third person, and hams it to the extreme while doing so. <BULLDOZER TIME! GET OUT OF MY WAY!>
Species: Braviary
Nickname: Johnny
Gender: Male
Ability: Defiant
Bio: The first Pokemon Tex caught, he named it after his father, as Braviary was his dad's personal symbol. Despite his name being a tribute to John, Johnny is quite the opposite of his namesake. While John disliked conflict, Johnny loves it to the point where he will deliberately provoke potential opponents. In other words, he's bordering on chaotic stupid. He talks like a drill sergeant nasty, if only for the speech pattern and tone. He completely lacks any sort of the military professionalism that comes with it.

THE FITNESSGRAM PACER TEST IS A MULTISTAGE AEROBIC CAPACITY TEST THAT PROGRESSIVELY GETS MORE DIFFICULT AS IT CONTINUESOkay, a few things
- I don't know if 'Texan' counts as an ethnicity.
- I kind of feel a disconnect between the 'wanted to be a scientist when he was younger' and the rest of the backstory. I guess, even if it was due to childhood interests and those can change over time, I'd expect it to have maybe at least a little bearing on what kind of person he is and I don't know if I feel like that's the case?
- Could you expand Pokemon profiles a bit too, especially Johnny's? I can think of a few Braviary with similar personalities in this RP, so maybe expand him in a way that's a bit different?
- Most of our characters are currently in Sinnoh, so that's where your character should probably be headed for one reason or another

Edited again.
THE FITNESSGRAM PACER TEST IS A MULTISTAGE AEROBIC CAPACITY TEST THAT PROGRESSIVELY GETS MORE DIFFICULT AS IT CONTINUESThanks, ethnicity and mon profiles look good now. You might want to integrate the 'well-educated and wide vocabulary' with the second to last sentence to sum up his personality better, though.
Otherwise, I personally think you're good to go, though I'll see if there are more thoughts before I start your test.

Hmm... why, exactly, do you not think an evil team would work anymore? I'm a pedantic planner, so I tend to need the big picture before I come up with any ideas.
