You mean besides Kill La Kill?
And yeah, the Watamote dub did just sorta... happen.

Wait, Watamote's heroine was voiced by Monica Rial? I thought Brittany Karbowski voiced her in the preview.
-Listens to preview-
-Listens to first episode-
That's Brittany Karbowski in the preview, no doubt about it. But that's also definitely Monica Rial doing the voice in the actual show. Casting list confirms it as well. Wonder why they switched.
Oh, hey, Emily Neves is in this.

Hey so... remember who we were all perplexed that Scott Freeman wasn't cast in the High School Dx D Season 3 broadcast dub even though he voiced the same character in the previous 2 seasons? Umm..... he posted THIS on Facebook and.......... well let's just say you'll get MORE answers for it than you may want to read...
"I've obviously outlived my usefulness. I have lost a lot of things in my life. I've lost to cancer, I've lost to divorce, I've lost several personal items including a car and place to live, and now I have lost the last thing that gave me meaning to existence. I guess I am going to retire. Sorry to leave you all. I only meant the best. Thank you to the ones that really know me. I leave you with some Mark Twain. 'The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.'"
Reading further down in the comments, he says this confirms that he is done with voice acting.
-takes deep breath- ............ HELL.

I hate to be that guy but could you at least provide a screencap (I don't want to ask for a link if it's his personal page) or other sort of proof.
Just geez, I dunno what to think of this.
So wait, is he retiring because he didn't get the part or did he choose to retire before the fact?
I think he's implying that he's declining the part because voice acting is just not working for him anymore.
Hundreds of friends and fans are pouring out their consolations toward him and how he shouldn't give up on life.

Good on them. The guy needs all the support he can get.
I don't think he has Twitter, but they're all showing support elsewhere.

That stung pretty hard, I was suicidally depressed once in my high school years.
The shocking part? Before this, I NEVER knew he had these problems! I thought he was perfectly fine! Days before, he showed photos of his family and friends all with smiles.
Two ACen announcements that have been spoiled ahead of time by other sources — The Boy and the Beast has been licensed, and more dub Fairy Tail is on the way!

YAY and YAY!
... spoiled ahead of the official announcement, or not? I wonder if anyone leaked the info by mistake.
I dunno. Variety just plain announced the first license, and more FT was pretty much given away by the EVS schedule and heavily hinted by Tyler Walker (true to form, the August slate just got released). The industry panel is tomorrow. XD

Well NOW they are officially announced! So no harm then!
I wonder what now-LA-stationed actors Cherami Leigh and Todd Haberkorn KNEW what they were getting into when being cast as the two leads in Fairy Tail? :D Now they STILL have to deal with saving up for infinite plane trips across both states. The Life Of An Actor.

Relating to Scott Freeman moving on, it seems that it's the same reason why Teri Rogers didn't return to do the new Dx D season.
Man, if Index/Railgun gets another season, I wonder who's gonna be the VA for Aogami and Shokuho?
Plus there's her work as Sailor Venus which will occupy her for some time. Actors are ultimately grateful for this sort of thing, means they get steady consistent work for years.
I assume Teri Rogers' situation is different and coincidental.
.... oh this must be TONS of fun to dub!
It's not tons of fun to watch.
I imagine so. For at least the main character and possibly his rival (I haven't watched it yet, but I might check it out) their mouths are covered up, so their actors can ham it up as much as they damn well please without going over the time limit for their dialogue. XD
Plus it's a money saver because as you can see, there are only 4 listed actors in the cast!
Hot damn, I never knew Watamote got a dub. It's got to be one of the biggest examples of Germans Love David Hasselhoff in manga/anime.
