Make sure there's good enough lighting. Also try bone meal.

huh. came across a mountain biome with an island that spawned half into it.

interesting...

i have finally settled!

i now have my own village. course, its mostly flooded so im going to be spending a lot more cobblestone than i thought; not just on the wall, but on the walk ways...

good thing i have a hammer.

ok; ive more or less finished renovating the village (at least to the point that every house is connected to a cobblestone walkway and the well.

trying to use rose bushes as a natural wall; not working out as desired, just because its taking so long. but still! it'll be done eventually.

unfortunately, redwood tree's in this map cant be placed in such a way that they grow as one huge tree. doesnt matter how many saplings you have. sad

guess i should go find some twilight oak saplings...

There are multiple types of redwood saplings, so you may not be using the right ones. The ones used to make a big one have a tooltip that says the 7x7 is needed.

You also may be able to make a Forge Lexicon to convert them to the different type of redwood sapling. I dunno.

So did someone take a bunch of my UU matter? I should have had way more build up with that chunk loader.

I didn't know you had UU matter.

I got a mass fab yesterday. Though it seems it was more of an issue of it not updating based on chunk unloading than someone taking some.

I came out of someone's nether portal (hate the way they work...), and am in an Origin Valley full of blue plates everywhere. What are they?

Blue plates? Sounds like the Modular Power Fist's Lux Capacitor. Basically free spammable torches from the power instead of crafting materials.

Ah, yes. I thought they were traps or something.

EDIT: Holy crap, there's an omniwrench module!?

The map has apparently now been up for one in-game year. Woohoo!

wow that was quick.

also; finished renovating my village! just need to wait for the rosebush wall to grow now, and to build my underground base.

and then to go in search of the other redwood saplings. and diamonds (sigh)

Sometime when we're both online at the same time i could be persuaded to exchange the redwood saplings you have for the other type.

Nether Portal in an Origin Valley full of Lux Capacitors? That'll be near me.

Was there a circular building made of wood nearby? If so, that's my house.

finally got access to the nether (thanks to slime crystal pickaxe) and am currently in the process of making a passage south to trox's first home.

Manyullyn is amazing. Especially for Lumber Axes. Being able to chop down the entire remains of Smalldrasil in one try and having my tool repaired five minutes later thanks to mossy is fabulous. Too bad broad axe heads and tough tool rods are so expensive; I used up almost all of my cobalt and ardite... Guess it'll be time to keep scouring the nether later whenever I decide to make my hammer.

On a Completely Unrelated note, anyone need some Twilight Oak wood?

cant say i do. but robust twilight oak saplings would suffice in place of redwood sapling.

actually, come to think of it, i just found a diamond; i have everything needed to make a portal to the twilight forest.

I'm trying to figure out how to install the pack to the new launcher.

To what new launcher? You use the same FTB launcher as normal.
