1.0.2 remains exactly as it was when I tried to update before and horribly broke everything, so we're gonna wait until the next update comes along.
WARNING: Material Energy^3 is horribly horribly addictive
God dammnit minecraft, Just when people on my home IRC were getting done with Agrarian skies this shows up.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans. The server is now updated to Tropecraft v5.2! Be warned that generating a new world may crash your client; using an existing world should be fine. Changelog:
- Updated to Direwolf20 1.7.10 version 1.0.2
- Updated ChromatiCraft, DragonAPI, ReactorCraft, and RotaryCraft to version 3a
- Updated Minechem to 5.05 RC4
Also guys this server does actually cost money to host, so you should actually play :Y

I've been swamped at work, and my computer's being upgraded atm so I don't actually currently have a system powerful enough to handle tropecraft atm :P
"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"Material Energy^4 is out.
And it's even more breathtaking than the first one.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.Any suggestions for a particularly Dorfy modpack collection? Right now for monster mods I'm looking at a possible combo of Lycanite's Mobs (a personal favorite), Infernal Mobs, and Special Mobs. If I go with atomicstryker's ruins mod as well, Lycanite's Mobs will replace most of the normal spawners with a variety of flesh-tearing hellbeasts.
Chocolatin's Better Dungeons mod (spawns a variety of MASSIVE dungeon complexes with really hard enemies and multiple spawners) is also on my list, though it's 1.7 incarnation still seems to be a WIP.
As far as ore and machinery goes, despite the creator's dickery I still have a soft spot for Greg Tech and it's complexity. Ti C and it's offspring are great for their forging elements and aesthetics, but in all honesty for what I have in mind it's way too easy, so unless I can find some tweaks for it I'd shy away from it at the moment.
For farming (besides IC and forestry which is always a must) I like the aesthetics and alcohol-related items added by Growthcraft.
Some survivalist type mod would be nice. The current one that reaches the top of google searches seems to have been shelved at 1.7.2 though.

Iguana's Tinkers Tweaks adds a bunch of options to make TiC harder. I'd also recommend Rotarycraft to fill in the lower tech options.
My random, completely biased thoughts during my mod hunt-
So, Doomlike Dungeons, while a very cool idea when paired with lycanite's , seems absolutely broken for 1.7.10. The dungeon generation causes lag that makes Chocolatin's mod look like nothing.
Found Enviromine to be a perfect mod for my idea, sans the food spoilage option since it doesn't pair with chests and storage containers from other mods. The "Physics" part of the mod also doesn't pair well with some biome mods or mods that add buildings, but it makes for a nice and fairly balanced challenge in vanilla minecraft.
Tried toying with pneumatic-craft but I really didn't like it overall. I really like the machines and aesthetics, but the plants are annoying as all hell to me. If there was a way to disable them and have alt. recipes for plastic I'd give it a go but otherwise. . .
Heh, I think I'll continue committing minecraft heresy and mix Gregtech with Ti C. Maybe make some ungodly evil looking monument composed of elements solely from both mods.
Is there anything neat I can do with Botania? Also, is there any cheap option for flight in FTB Infinity?
Either an IC2 or Simply Jetpacks jetpack plus a hang glider would work well.
Botania can do a lot of neat things, like convert sand to clay.
Regrowth demonstrates a good useage of botania.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.Anyone else find it odd that steam power (via Railcraft engines) is actually more powerful than a fuel-based Combustion engine?
I'm having trouble downloading Tropecraft— Dropbox says the file is either moved or deleted, even for the latest version.
...Unless they're just down because a new version is out or about to come out.
Not really. With enough steam production you can far surpass the power of combustion engines - nuclear reactors produce power with steam, for instance.
Tropecraft is no longer a thing due to financial reasons and lack of interest. No idea why the old versions won't download, though. I can instead upload the current pack I'm using if you'd like, which as a collection of all the mods I'm interested in is basically a newer Tropecraft edition.
Yeah but I mean it doesn't make much sense from a real-world point of view.
Also, now my FTB Infinite world is mired in lag and I don't know why. I was building a Railcraft tank and I got hit by huge amounts of lag.
Grimoire of Gaia is back yay
And so it appears Mine Little Pony is once again doomed to year-long hiatuses.

As of a few day ago it was discovered that someone seeded several mods on Curseforge with a worm that proceeded to infected other JAR files on Linux and Windows P Cs. Modpack makers who downloaded the infected files then updated their packs in the last week may have unknowingly seeded the malicious program further on multiple distribution platorms including Curseforge, Bukkit and Modrinth.
Curseforge has released a detection tool to check if any files are compromised.
The pack updated. Do we have an ETA on a Tropecraft update?
