Suggestion: Bookworm

So I came across this◊ while looking at wikipaintings,and I was wondering if anyone felt that this painting might be better then the current one on the page?

It's not better.

I kinda like the painting better for reasons I can't quite place.

If we want to get literal:

All these images work; will we end up wanting a crowner? Without that, though, I'd have a preference for the OP's suggestion over the current due to art style, and 5.3 over that due to cuteness.

I think it might be a good idea to not have a literal example. A bookworm is a worm that eats books, and that's not a definition we want to encourage. In this case, I kind of doubt people would misuse it that way, but I still prefer to avoid it, since it's both easily possible and the pun in itself isn't all that funny.

I think Rory◊ is a good example of someone "avoid[ing] others for the purpose of sitting down in a secluded area and indulging in their hobby of reading."

Most of that isn't too apparent in the image, though. And Sylvia Plath brings up bad memories for me. Though the good ones outnumber the bad, so it's not really that bad.

What about Belle◊?

I'd like to see more than one book.

And better quality.

Might as well throw this◊ out. Might be a better manga scan somewhere. Or fanart. Lots of fanart.

I haven't seen anything yet that's a distinct improvement on the current...the painting's the closest, but is there a better version of it out there?

Wow, and I thought that widget asked you to select crowner and thread...

On the suggestions:

• The donmai one gives me a 403.
• The PMISS one is just a character with books.
• Wikipainting seems to be (relatively) best.
• Rory Gilmore and Beauty etc. is just someone reading a book.
• Bookworm is a very literal reading.

Although I dunno if a pony'd go over well, I wonder if there's a good image of Twilight being, well, herself? Certainly finding one of her just reading wouldn't be hard.

I don't think the current's bad, mind. It's oddly not in the crowner yet... I'm adding it.
