Jersey Shore's Replacement: Buckwild

I hate to rain on your parades, I really do.

Well, not really.

Jersey Shore may have died, but it has been replaced on MTV by another reality tv show centered in that part of the world, namely, Buckwild.

Going by the character list, its possibly going to be worse. What does "making Tyler a country man" entail? Most likely stereotypes out the wazoo.

I made this thread because I did not want to necro the Jersey Shore Cancelled thread.

I just want you all to know that if you watch the trailer, there's no unseeing it.

Oh yes, the fun that will be had, watching the reactions of the internet to this. Cracked should implode pretty soon.

It's like TLC and MTV are having a competition on who can dig the deepest down the barrel. MTV had Jersey Shore, TLC decided to go for Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. And now MTV's answered with this...

Anyone tropers from West Virginia? How true to life is it?

I've never seen it but judging from the reactions my friends on Facebook are having, it's not living up to our reality at all. More like it should be deep sixed as soon as fucking possible and everyone involved in it blacklisted from ever working anywhere ever again.

Honestly this doesn't seem any worst then jersey shore. The cast actually seem likeable.

Another show portraying the South as a bunch of dumb hicks...Though I like this better than Honey Boo Boo, at least here we're crazy and not just dumb.

They're young, dumb and full of... unjustified self-assurance. But they seem like genuinely nice people who care about each other at least compared to their jersey shore counterparts.

True, but I haven't seen a single link that's dated from before today.

That's all too true. I suppose we'll just have to wait till tomorrow to know for sure.

I don't think it's a prank, considering there are like 10 different news outlets reporting on it.

If it is true, you would think the articles would let us know that this is the real deal.

I do feel for the cast and the guy's family if it actually is true, though, make no mistake.

It's too widely reported from too many respectable sources, and in far too much detail for it to be fake. It's pretty clear that it's true.

Nah even MTV would have the good sense not to pull a stunt like that. It would be like saying that baby they cured with AIDS contracted golden staph.

Well, I just saw a GMA ad for it, so it actually happened. I can only imagine what his family must be going through.

It was an accident, no foul play. None of us here hurt him.

We turned it off our T Vs, we didn't physically attack the show.

That would just be giving into the sort of stereotypes the show fed.
