I don't.
Check out my fanfiction!I'm completely, utterly opposed to JAFAAC pictures... but in this case, the trope pretty much is that one person. So I'm on the fence. Not saying the current is great (I'd prefer it if we could find one where he at least looks mean), but on the fence.
It does not matter who I am. What matters is, who will you become? - motto of Omsk BirdGordon Ramsey also counts for this IRRC. I'd be fine with pulling the pic.
Would this◊ be an improvement?
Check out my fanfiction! If I knew it was a brit, sure.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanNot only are there also no clues in the OP that person is British, the sign says American Idol. I don't think "that person is the trope" matters much at all.
I think the thumbs-down one in #5 is an improvement. Does he say anything that sounds identifiably British? Caption could fill that info in. "What in the bloody hell was that?" or something.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Another Duck's suggestion is better than the current.

Still just a face, but he looks meaner and more British than Simon.
I like #2.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.I think Blackadder looks more generically European than strictly British. And not particularly mean in any of those.

Check out my fanfiction!Edmund Blackadder isn't an example. This is a trope about mean British competition judges, mainly following the lead of Simon Cowell in American Idol, not any person who's British and mean.

It does not matter who I am. What matters is, who will you become? - motto of Omsk BirdRight, so we're sticking with Cowell? Gordon Ramsay isn't a barrel of rainbows and sunshine either, but more people recognise Simon.
Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest. — Mark TwainPrefer the thumbs-down in #5, though. It is a slight improvement on the current page image.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.I think the thumbs down image is better than the current one. This is just a suggestion, but is there a photo of him wearing a similar expression in front of the Britains Got Talent logo? That might emphasise his nationality, but then again, he's not the only Briton on that show.

Clock is set. 5 is an improvement, especially coupled with the current caption.
Yeah, run with 5.
Moon◊Actually, just to be contrary again, the current one does illustrate one bit about the trope: It's often someone who's imported, even if the show isn't actually British. You still have to assume he is British, and mean, but hey, a non-title bit of the trope is there.

Check out my fanfiction! The clock's up, and so is 5. I recycled the old caption. Locking up.
Would no image be an improvement? I think so.
