Hell, Zhao got development in episodes he didn't have lines in (Wan Shi Tong's Library). The most we had before Azula started being a focus of some episodes was Zuko and Iroh agreeing that she's crazy and needs to go down.

All done with the first season of Korra. It's funny how after she annoyed me enough to drop the show originally she now made the first season for me. Tenzen was good too and Lin was alright, but the rest of the cast was quite boring or outright annoying, like Tenzin's kids.

And Mako cheating on his girlfriend, the jerk.

Have fun with season 2.

Yeah, season 2 had all the worst parts of season 1.

I hear the rest of the show was better, but I haven't gotten back to giving it another shot after I quit at the end of season 2.

What about the villains?

Season 2 was bad aside from a few pretty good episodes.

Season 3 and Season 4 were significantly better than the first two seasons and when the show finally finds its footing.

season 4 > season 3 >>> season 1 >> season 2

Amon was boring. At first I thought Tarrlok (how DO you spell his name anyway?) was so obviously playing into Amon's hands that he must have been his partner in a scheme for the two to rule the city together, but then it turned out he was just a complete moron.

Unalaq is only just now showing his jerk side. I still don't know why his brother and Tenzin were so hostile towards him.

Because I'm an idiot, I'm trying to binge on the hajime no ippo manga. All of it. Not all at once but at a fairly steady pace.

Ippo is pretty damn quality stuff, it is. It's a simple underdog sports story but that is the meat I'm in the market for, and as far as meat goes, it's A5.

Isn't that he one that's over a thousand chapters long? Hard to imagine how you can keep it an underdog story the whole time.

Because I've spoiled myself rotten, I can say by the looks of it the series does a good job of mixing things up.

It doesn't stay on Ippo, but occasionally shifts to his gym mates, who are in different weight classes. Ippo also gains major respect from the fans and his opponents, and in some matches his opponent is the underdog.

I'm pretty sure the plot of ippo is ippo gets his face smashed in for two and a half rounds until he remembers his basics and uses his yamato damashi to activate the oxygen in his muscles and unleash a 4th dimensional Dempsey roll that just grazes his opponents face and wins by KO; repeat for a thousand chapters.

I actually read Irony's first comment as him having been the one that got kicked in the teeth and that he liked the feeling for some reason.

That was how it was meant to be read, though the feels good bit was sarcastic.
