The Little Tanker that Could? Miho the Victorious? The Oorai Fox?
"What a century this week has been." - Seung Min KimI would have thought Miho would say something like "Viel Glück, meiner kameraden" - "Good luck, my comrades."
Her title? Stern von Ōarai.
Schild und Schwert der ParteiI think Rommel might object to someone muscling in on her turf.
I think a certain Ooarai member is the one who will be doing the objecting to that title using that reason. I'm talking about Riko "Erwin" Matsumoto, commander and radio operator of Hippo Team.
On another note, what's with Motto Love Love Sakusen's author and his obsession with drawing most of the non-flat GuP girls 5 or more cup sizes bigger than they actually are? I get it for the canonically really busty ones like Nonna, but Darjeeling was not that enormous.
... Speaking of Darjeeling, she really needs to let her hair down more often. She looked gorgeous.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus."Viel Glück, meine Kameraden" Or better "Viel Glück, meine Kameradinnen" since all of them are female.
I'd think she'd refuse due to something about being not worthy of the title.
When they turn around a rookie loser school to win the big tournament, they can say something.
"What a century this week has been." - Seung Min KimWell, this was a surprising reveal — remember the LN where Saori's the POV character? Well it was casually revealed there that Erika was part of the crew of the Panzer III that fell into the river. Yes, the same crew Miho had to throw the match to rescue. I know more than a few people now having trouble reconciling her attitude throughout the show in light of this new factoid.

So, after the movie, will there be a season 2? Any news of it yet? Well it most certainly fits her personality, so I'm not surprised.
...Huh!?
I don't have any such problems. She probably feels a lot of guilt for indirectly causing her team's defeat (arising mainly from her strict adherence to the Nishizumi Style's teachings), and resents Miho for making her feel that way (because she had and still firmly believes that the correct course of action was to abandon the Panzer III's crew and focus on the battle; that Miho rescued her withotu hesitation did not change that belief at all, and in fact may have entrenched it due to the resulting outcome) and/or the fact that she (Erika) has never been punished for her self-perceived contribution to the debacle, and instead was promoted to replace Miho. Think of it as something resembling Don't You Dare Pity Me!.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. It does at least suggest that she practices what she preaches, which I rate in people. Is the LN canon though?

Schild und Schwert der ParteiAnd the usual anons were kind enough to translate the scene in question, which takes place after Oarai's victory:
She whispered, before she added this to it.
[During that time last year. You came and saved me from my drowning tank. And because of that I can still do Senshado.]
(there's a bit more on the next page)
Eh, eeeeeeeeeeeeh? That means that comrade Miporin went to save during last year's finals, was Erika-san!?
And, before I knew it, Erika-san was crying with large tears.
[I'm glad that you didn't quit Senshado]
To answer everyone's question, it was an addition to Miho and Maho's little scene after Maho congratulates her sister. In the anime, we see Erika wait for Maho at the truck, but in the LN apparently Erika breaks down in tears after the sisters reconcile — which would fit how Saori would imagine the scene would go, romantic that she is.
Erika: Thanks.
She whispered, before she added this to it.
Erika: During that time last year. You came and saved me from my drowning tank. And because of that I can still do Senshado.

Heh, now Love Love Operation's 12th chapter just got more heartwarming/funny.
In addition to being, y'know, alive.
Erika, it seems, is batshit insane.
I know right.

Also, Rommel is highly overrated.

Schild und Schwert der ParteiErika, it seems, is batshit insane.
Rommel was the best division commander of the war.
Nous restons ici.would they have reached the tank in the river in time though? The other girl seemed pretty convinced Miho is responsible for her being alive.
"What a century this week has been." - Seung Min KimNot really...but that's getting OT now.
I'm reading this because it's interesting. I think. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over.@Parable and Marq
It could simply be that Erika knew about the marshals wasn't as alarmed by the situation as Kuomei, or that Erika was prepared to risk considerably more personal discomfort/injury for victory. But the way she says it implies that not being rescued would mean she could no longer do Tankery, which would in turn imply that she would have been badly injured/killed if not for Miho.
@Rommel
A decent enough commander at the tactical level, but horribly unsuited to army command. He also did some pretty despicable shit to his Italian allies. Using the Ariete as an impromptu rearguard without telling them (and then lying about it in his memoirs) at El Alamein stands out.

Schild und Schwert der ParteiTo me, that suggests a remarkable degree of self-awareness, which I don't think Erika really has.
Schild und Schwert der Partei... "Self-awareness"?
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.
... OK, I'll admit that I laughed at that. But seriously, no signature chant-cry for Ooarai? Or at least a distinctive title to award to their shy-yet-bold commander for her bravery and determination to win the championship for her school?
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.
