Judging from the caption ("falling in love with the hired help"), I suspect that the father really is using "avenging" as a euphemism for amorous activities.
However, if we need the caption to explain that to us, it's not a very good picture.

It's not excellent, but it's far from bad enough to warrant an immediate pull. The trope is a dialogue trope, that means a page image illustrating it is going to rely on dialogue.
