All projects at LucasFilm got frozen. Standard practice when one company buys another.
Jonah FalconNo. We've been over this. While the fate of any projects currently underway at Lucasarts is in doubt, they have already stated their intention to let other developers work with the license. So we could see, say, a Platinum Games-developed Star Wars game down the line.
Well, that sucks for any in house projects then, unless they can transfer them.
True, though there's no guarantee they'll can them. And even if they did, I think the only real loss would be 1313, since it seems a lot of people want an outside developer working on Battlefront anyway.
ALL OF MY MONEY
Quick, name a purely in-house Star Wars game in the past 10 years! There really aren't many.
Not Three Laws compliant.So. How far along is/was this game?
Hard mode: Name a good Star Wars game developed in house after 2000 or so.
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.Matter of personal opinion, but both Republic Commando, and Force Unleashed were pretty good.
RC was a solid shooter, Force Unleashed was a decent game with a weak plot and a terrible sequel.
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.I liked TFU's plot of "rounding up the rebellion". especially Rahm Kota.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Wow, and they decided to halt this project again? I understand that it's the upper-office politics between Disney and Lucasarts that is causing all these delay issues right now but don't they realize that they're sitting on a freaking guaranteed cash cow?!
Once again: during an acquisition, all departments are frozen because the new company will assess their properties in all departments. Has nothing to do with the game itself per se.
Jonah FalconListen to this man already.
And now, leaked video. It may be taken down before too long, but for now have a glimpse.
Good to see they're adding some new ideas to the formula, like those portable energy shields and heavy continuous beam weapons. I hate it when Star Wars games stick too closely to formula.
But where's the third-person camera!?
It's literally looking like the bastard child of Halo 4, Battlefield, and Co D. Because that was straight a hardlight shield.
Throw in some Mass Effect in there too, I want my TPS.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Did...did that Rebel trooper just teleport?
I'm pretty sure it was a decoy, ala Halo's holograms.
Hell, the guy used it for the exact thing most people use it in Halo for, other than being sniper-finders.

That's what I was hoping it was.
Going quite the original angle from conventional Star Wars. Not to say that there's not going to be a ton of whining over "OMG THEY STOLE THAT FROM HALO!"
WANT
I wonder what the classes are this time.
So its true about Disney freezing anything that isn't casual games?
