I'm not entirely sure, really, but it sounds like she has an abusive father who came back because some bitch irl gave him her number. She ended up having an Interrupted Suicide followed by some stupid thing involving Tumblr.

I managed to follow that Multiverse stuff No Problem and in fact expected where it was going before I got to that bit...... and then the topic Fall off the Rails

But for an idea to save our World, Multiverse Travel is both a yes and no, yes you could see that fates that could await us and even return and try to avert them, but at the same time an Alternate you will fail at every point in your journey.

As for how the Multiverse Splits and Branches with every action everywhere just Look up Pascal's Triangle but Multiply the Numbers by 9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 Ad infinitum.... you get the idea I hope

As for my easy understanding of all this..... I worry if I'm Insane(Like Punch Out Cthulhu Insane) or just well read on the handily convenient stuff(I think on the Multiverse with Semi-Regularity and have dealt with figuring out how the World As Myth theory works in Robert. Heinlein's The Cat That Walks Through Walls)

So if ALL fiction is it's own universe, does that mean that for that universe, there is an alternate universe?

Take Mario for example. In a typical Mario game, Mario saves the Princess, defeats Bowser, and they live happily ever-after until Bowser decides to try again. Would there be another universe where Mario fails and Bowser concurs the Mushroom Kingdom? Or a universe where Peach and Bowser are political allies with peace treaties and such? OR a universe where Mario and Sonic can participate in the Olympics together?

It was proposed (in a legitimate theory that makes sense) that all playthroughs of mario are a different universe. I don't personally believe that part, just the part saying that there are multiple 'reboots' throughout Mario's timeline in which a new galaxay comes into being literally in place of the old one.

The playthroughs were theorized to be individual resets within the same universe. Granted, I only think there are 3 reboots. The losses are just non-canon if situations, so those would be true parallel universes, and not a result of a galaxy being destroyed and then reformed over millenia.

Go-Karting with Bowser is probably non-canon, but seeing as I have not tied down every game yet, there is still the possibility that the game is canon.

...hey, I had this idea a while ago!

The way I thought about it, fictional universes with multiple reboots and in-universe retcons are 'unstable' and some things (like asking the wrong question) can cause it to collapse temporarily. Like that glitch when people sent a certain message that can make your iPhone crash.

To further expand on the multiverse idea: even individual episodes, chapters, and/or even scenes may be from differing universes from their "parent" universe. This would allow continuity errors to occur without damaging the universe in question: i.e. if a new episode of a show shows something that contradicts established lore, you can just say it comes from a near-identical offshoot universe where the contradiction doesn't exist.

Which now means that the entirety of Star Trek exists in multiple universes, thanks to the BUTTLOADS of continuity errors. Insert Big No here.

And that universe is the deep, dark recesses of my own mind.

Well, addressing the idea of infinite universes, I usually invoke a sort of Fermi Paradox: there'd be infinite inter-dimensional travelers coming into our universe. So either these universes don't exist, or they do and travel between them is limited somehow.

I refuse to accept this because that mean My Immortal has it's own universe.

Sadly, yes. But that's the beauty of it — because it has it's own universe, it must therefore have a multitude of various kindred universes to describe every possibility that can be played out within each other. Therefore, there'd be My Immortal universes that would be worse than the MI we know, and there'd be such universes that would be better than what we know.

It's only a shame that we aren't a part of a universe where My Immortal was well written fanfiction.

It would be interesting to see the Hunger Games Simulator series from Forum Games having its own universe.

(Well, aside from the crack pairings)
