Pokemon Conquest: Fate of Crimena (Role Playing)

Nicholas and Hyperion woke up instantly.

"A battle, you say? Now we're talking!" Hyperion gave a roar loud enough to wake up everyone else and unleashed a Dragon Breath at the new opponent.

Iris and Cyril woke up immediatelly, Iris however looked a bit sleepy still, and a bit dizzy.

"A fight?! Now?! Come on... I was just having the best dream." She said, as much as she tried to look serious at that moment, she was failing miserably.

Cyril then looked around and saw no sign of Jonathan and his partners "Where... Did Jonathan, Alden and Lumi go?

"Huh?" She then looks around, only noticing their's absence now "Don't tell me they're already inside. No matter, we have something else to worry about now" She then drew her sword and seemed ready to fight... Until she ruined it with a yawn, much to Cyril's dismay.

"It's just one opponent though, this won't last very long." Cyril tried to ignore Iris's gaffes and stood on her side, ready to battle.

Joshua, Perun and Jarlio were easily roused from their slumber when they heard Sir Martel and got ready to fight in as as little as 2 seconds after the declaration. Perun and Jarlio glared at the knight and made threatening noises at him while Joshua was reading the unknown's body for any sudden movements.

"..."

"I will enjoy feasting upon your bloodied and beaten carcass!"

"Have you no modicum of delicacy?!"

"Shaddap!"

Joshua ignored his two Pokemon's bickering.

Stumpy awoke as soon as he heard footsteps. When Martel woke everyone up, the Breloom was one of the first in battle position. "Edwin, wake up!" he said.

It was then Edwin woke up, completely slept through all the noise. "*yaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn* Oh man, that was one of the best outdoors sleeps I've ever had," the Green Knight Leader as sat up and stretched. Then he noticed the black armored newcomer.

A beat.

"HOLY - !!" Edwin then shot up and started to hurriedly assemble his mallet.

Althea groggily rubbed her eyes and still had the blanket. The Skitty and Cubchoo was behind their master, all watching silently at everyone.

"......"

Woken up by the ruckus Runa went up and sighed annoyed.

”Kinda rude, to visit so early in the morning. You must be quite a coward...”

She draw her rapier and walked to her allies side.

"... you are also outnumbered. Therefore you better tell us who you are and who sent you or else..."

Ferdi raised her hand and let it glow in a threatening manner.

The Dragon Breath reached the knight, and it seemed to burn him alive... Or so it seemed. The Knight was unscathed by the flames as he was shown to have his free hand held up. The knight then snapped his fingers, making a loud CLANG sound as the Knight Leaders and their allies could feel the rumbling beneath them. Aaron then saw the three statues that were absent. Their limestone colored exteriors melted away, revealing their true forms...

??? sent out The Legendary Regi

Joshua, Perun and Jarlio all frowned at the Houndour knight's fireproof armor and then their annoyance turned to worry when the rumbling seemingly began at the Hound Knight's behest.

"Did he have his Pokemon burrow underground?!"

Joshua tried to look for the telltale signs of a Pokemon activating earthquake from beneath the ground, instead he saw the Regi trio statues slowly gain color and move.

"No, Much worse."

Perun and Jarlio turned to see what their master saw and their fighting spirit promptly dropped by several notches when they saw those "statues" come to life and slowly march towards the collected group with purpose.

"What are those things?!"

"Legendaries..."

As the Regis became alive, Runa struggled to keep calm.

"Oh Touché. Still I asked you something. What are you mute,deaf or just dumb?!"

"Do you think, taunting him like that is a good idea? Ferdi asked nervously.

"When he can control legendaries, he either is our enemy or the guardian of this place. In both cases, getting informations out of him should be our priority." Runa replied.

She then turned over to Nicholas.

"Next time, ask first, then shoot, okay?"

"I'll hold my attack for now but as soon as he makes a move, I'm attacking." He turned to the knight "How about you answer our question friend? Are you ally or foe? And why do you impead our path?" He nodded to Levia and Natalya who both targeted Regirock.

"Huh? He controls the Regi?!" Said Iris, clearly shocked as her eyes widened out with that and she seemed rather intimidated by them

"Be careful mistress, this can get quite dangerous in a few seconds" Cyril was already ready for battling as he analyzed the new opponents.

Iris then regained her composure, the opponents seemed strong, but they were still outnumbered so it shouldn't be too much of a hassle, Cyril however wasn't too sure so he made sure to stay close to Iris in case any attack came at her direction.

Edwin managed to screw together his long hammer - "AH HA!! Now to whoop some - " - but then the statues revealed themselves to be the actual Regi, the ancient elementals created by the Grand Regi, the Lord of Continents ordained by Arceus itself, to be his eternal servants.......

"We are so screwed" the Green Knight Leader squeaked.

"Okay then, this guy is fire-proof and controls the Regi," Stumpy said. "All we have to do is think of a way to beat him if he sics those things on us - "

"PARLEY!!!" Edwin suddenly yelled. "PARLEY!!"

The Breloom face palmed.

Nicholas nodded in agreement to Runa's advice as Hyperion just grunted. Drawing his spear, he observed his three opponents carefully. Regirock, Registeel, Regice. They were originally supposed to be statues, but their new guest seemed to have gave them life. Just who was he? "Hyperion." With Hyperion's attention, he gave a signal toward Registeel. Hyperion gave a smirk, and prepared a Flamethrower.

The black knight simply looked. They seemed like they aren't interested in a fight. He said nothing, but one swift motion of his hand caused the Regi to be docile to the Knights. He then heard Parley. He opened his mouth.

"Parley? You wish parley on this cursed grounds? Very well... You have some nerve... As for who I am... Let's just say I am the solution. Your very involvement itself impedes this solution. If anything, I should ask who you are." The Knight said. His voice was strange. It was deep and almost monsterish. There was also a hint of an echo.

"My name is Sir Aaron, loyal knight to Queen Rin and King Satoshi of the Kanto Region." Aaron said. He then pointed to Lucario.

"And this is Lucario." He said.

Martel muttered at the knight's voice "How remarkable." He shook his head and drew himself up "I am Sir Martel Lascet. The Blue Knight of the province of Aquarius and loyal servant of Crimena, at your service."

"I am Levia the Milotic of Aquarius. Nice to meet you sir." Levia nodded her head politely

"N-Natalya Sir. I'm from here but partners with Martel..." Natalya said with a slight nod

"I am Edwin Owens, the Green Knight Leader of the Province of Stamford," Edwin spoke up next,since it was him who called for the Parley.

"And I am Stumpy, Guardian of the Green Knight Leader!" the Breloom called out.

The hostility dispelled almost instantly and Nicholas hurriedly raised a hand to stop Hyperion from pressing his assault. Hyperion's flames died in his mouth and he puffed out a breath of smoke. This man, if he could be called a man, was asking for introductions, but to trust him now was to ask for betrayal later. Nicholas was wary and with his spear still in his hand, Nicholas gave his name.

"Nicholas Hawthorne. Dragon Knight Leader."

"And I'm Hyperion, his Dragon partner."

Secretly glad at the possibility of not engaging hostilities against such a terrible and mighty foe, Sir Joshua and his Pokemon entertain the Hound knight's request; Perun in particular suppressing the urge to shudder at the knight's inhuman voice while his two partners are as cold as the ice they stand on.

"Sir Joshua Mardh, knight leader of Alania and these two are Perun and Jarlio; my associates."

"I'm Iris Renev, a simple knight from Crimena" Seeing that the knight wasn't a threat at the moment she stopped pointing the sword at him, his voice startled her a bit, but she paid no mind to it.

"Cyril, I'm Iris guardian." He then just stood at Iris side with his arms crossed while he took a good look at the regis and the knight, not too sure if they could trust him.

"So... You're all Knight Leaders? Crimena's finest knights? Interesting." The Knight said. Lucario then spoke up.

"I am sorry, but I was busy thinking of what you said... something about... this place being cursed? And what is this solution you speak of?" Lucario asked.

"This temple was used to worship a lesser god, thought to be more powerful than Arceus. You people know this lesser god today as Ho-oh, but at least a thousand years ago, they called it the Golden Sunbird. There is a dark story behind this temple though... If you truly wish to know, then I shall show you. Then you may know why I fight for my ideals. Follow me into the temple, and perhaps both our journeys will progress forwards." The Knight said as he walked to the temple. Lucario followed with no hesitance, while his master seemed a little concerned, especially after seeing the Regis following their master on a whim.

Althea hesitantly followed the Knight, the Skitty and Cubchoo trailing behind her. It was still cold, so she clutched the cape and walked on the path to the temple, snow crunching in each step.

"A Ho-Oh? What's that?"

The Skitty stopped in her tracks and slapped the Cubchoo with her tail.

Stop following me.

Chase glared at Elsie, rubbing his cheek. Bitch.

Elsie turned up her nose and walked.

Edwin and Stumpy followed as well, the latter far more relunctently. As the Breloom continued to suspiciously eye the Regi, the Green Knight Leader decided to ask the burning question of the moment.

"So......not to pry or anything, but how come you can control the creations and servants of the being who moved the very continents themselves?" he asked the mysterious knight. "And what due you mean by this place having a dark story? Some kinda unsolved murder or something?"

"Please tell," she paused, clutching the cape tightly. Althea was looking at the Knight intently. "I don't know what happened to the Ho-oh..."

Cubchoo was now visibly scared, while Elsie had a brave face. A-a dark story...?

She stomped on her foot. It was a waste of food to have you here!

With some reluctance and more than a fair amount of suspicion, Joshua and his Pokemon wordlessly follow the Hound Knight, Perun in Particular making sure not to make eye contact with the Regi trio.

Martel followed the Black clad knight and asked "I must agree with my compatriots; Why do you control the Regi? And where has Ho-Oh gone? Finally why do you say this place is cursed?"
