Well... they got the "former boxer" part right, at least. I was hoping for Stephen Lang (Colonel Quatrich from Avatar) but... I dunno, this could work.

How does it "sound like good casting"? He's way too young, it'll ruin the dynamic.

He is old enough to be a retired boxer. He is 34 and the average age of retirement for a boxer is 30 - 40 years old. But yeah he is kind of too young since he is only 7 years older then Katie Cassidy.

Yeah but as the article says, this is the CW so of course they're going to go with a younger version. It does take away from much of the comics Wildcat's characterization but I can live with it. If it takes Laurel out the shows Love Dodecahedron it will be worth it.

IS there still a Love Dodecahedron going ? Tommy's gone, Oliver was with Sara while he and Laurel are friends. If they DO decide to go back to Ollie and Laurel as a couple, Sara has left.

Laurel ended it with Ollie after Tommy died. So I don't think she is in the Love Dodecahedron currently. But it expanded to The Flash before it even aired.

7 years might not be a huge age difference but I can accept it. Its not so much about the CW not casting older actors (there's plenty) but making him a love interest for Laurel.

Looking forward to seeing more Amanda Waller and her doing something other than just bombing stuff.
