I'd have mixed feelings if a movie did come out ... I don't think it would be the same without MAKO, even if they found another very close voice match for Aku.
The only Japanese man who is hammy enough to fill those shoes I can think of is George Takei, and even then... I'm having trouble imagining that...
You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you!I immediately imagined George Takei saying GREAT FLAAAAMING EYEBROWS!

Who is Mako's former pupil, who replaced Mako for Zuko's father in Avatar, again?
That would be Mr. Greg Baldwin. He did well, Oi sez.
And no, Genndy still wants to do it. It was in pre-production, last I looked.
I recently decided to take up watching this show again, since I haven t seen it in years. I watched the first three episodes. After the third episode, I realized why I hadn't kept up with it. The long drawn out actions scenes couldn't hold my interest. Yes they were very cool, and it was funny how abruptly they ended, but I felt the action scene in the third episode was a little too long. Granted I haven't watched much more than that and I'd like to hear your guys opinion
As much as I liked Samurai Jack I have to say that it felt more like an experiment than a full series. Each episode was unique in some way- everything from where the one the protagonist was basically Aku (telling children fairy tales!) to the one that (apparently) reveals that Jack will only go home when he's very, very old. Come to think of it if he did go back in time and prevented this future from happening wouldn't that cause a paradox? The good thing was that regardless of what they came up with it was always done well. So, I can only recommend the series in those merits. Don't just assume it's always the same: sure, there's a lot of action, but that's hardly all there is about the show.

I'd say get used to it. ....Toonami's gonna air it this season.
I meant what the actual effect of Jack killing Aku in the past would be, not that he would know about paradoxes first (and btw, Jack was shown as being very smart and met with scientists of the future, I'm surprised none of them ever brought it up. Maybe the writers felt it would confuse the audience?)
Either the world is retconned into Aku never ruling or he creates a split timeline. I feel like they should show him killing Future Aku before returning to the past. That way even if he does leave this timeline intact at least they'll be free from Aku.
If the show didn't already confirm that at one point he would return to the past, I'd say the best ending would be for him to band together with all of the friends and allies he met in the future and defeat Aku once and for all - then have him realize he has to stay there to help rebuild and lead the world.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.there's also one slight issue: Aku's original voice actor is suffering from a severe case of not being alive, so who's gonna fill that role?
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.Samurai Jack, while good, is a show I really feel suffered from its near-complete lack of a Myth Arc. I feel it probably would have been better and far more involving if it ever implied Jack was making any sort of progress towards reaching his goal, but it really didn't, and the fact that Jack was basically still at square one when it ended made its end all the more bitter.
The actor who replaced him in Avatar?
So much awesome with Samurai Jack as of late. First it gets a time slot on Toonami and the comic is beyond fun.
"I don't give a rat's ass about going to hell. I guess it's because I feel like I'm already there." -MugenSummed up my main beef with the show. I remember the episode where Jack and Aku decided for a "final" showdown, but it (unsurprisingly) didn't go anywhere overall.
Still, the show is enjoyable to watch.

Well geez, anything is possible. Maybe we can finally get a Season 3 of Big O while we're at it.
I'm glad the show is coming back.
Still....
It's not going to be quite the same without MAKO.
...is this real life?
is genndy in on this at all?
Honestly, I never actually expected it to come out...but it's still disappointing.
